I just replaced the heating pad in my 2007 Convertible. I had to just tear into it and figure it out, boy do I wish I had this video. Good job as always Gary. 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing. Gave me the confidence to get in and fix my lumbar support. Didn't have a new cable but was able to secure the broken end on the frame support and it's holding. Keep Saabing.
Very useful video. I have just finished replacing heating pad in my SS 93 AERO '04. I've got 2 thoughts: 1. I read WIS before watching your material. There is no need to remove old heating pad. They say to put a new one over the old one. I think it's easier. 2. Plastic zip ties may be used to fix the seat rim - quicker and easier. I saw this solution on another movie couple of months ago. Thanks a lot for help!!! :)
Great info here👍....imo, I would've cut a foam rubber plug for the void created by the mini fire. Put in the posters' defense it probably wouldn't show. My electric lumbar stopped working on my '06 Aero, I assume it's a bladder rather than the mechanical device as shown here.
Yeah that's a good recommendation. I thought about adding some foam in the burn area before reassembly. However, when the leather is pulled tight after putting the hog rings in the indent isn't noticeable. If I had more time I would have added some foam anyways but either way I'm happy with the repair!
Hi ... Gary, your vid is so detail ( step by step ) and I learnt much from you especially the lumber support which I encountered the same issue as yours ! I might need to buy some more parts from you like before .... Take Care and Enjoy your Saab !
Thanks for watching and for the kind words friend! I still have a bunch of 9-3 stuff so shoot me an email (weakestofweeks@gmail.com) if you're looking for anything specific.
The only vid that actually helped, thanks mate.

Thank you so much, I've been looking for a video like this for a while, there's not a lot of info on this

@Xxx Zzz Zip ties? You mean in place of the hog rings?
@@milkphish4122 Yeah. It may be not professional but works great. I put them instead of rings and it’s really ok. And much easier to mount.
Thank you for that info

@@WeakestofWeeks Sure .. will do ! In fact I am making a list of what I need and will write to you later ... Take Care My Friend !
Great detailed instruction thank you
Great video! I have a noise in my SAAB 93 coming from the passenger seat I think something is broken in the lumbar zone.
When I change the entire seat, do I need to activate the heating somehow? Or will it just work if not broken?
Nice video, thanks! I'm about to do this job, what size hog rings did you use, 3/8"? No way would I use zip ties in this application.
I believe 3/4" hog rings. They came with the tool in a small kit I purchased. The link is in the description to the exact one I used.
@@WeakestofWeeks Thank you !!
Good job. How long did this repair take?
How security access can be activated and what it is?
I plan to buy genuine used or new Chinese
I had a hot spot under my right leg. Been there for 2 years and now my seat doesn’t work 😂 I think I might know why….
