This is a great video. I have a friend that lives in Tulsa and I'm moving there in a couple of months. I also went for a 5 day visit and everything he says in the video seems to be correct. Turkey Mountain is great. The Gathering park is great. Also, they have a Trader Joe's grocery store which I love and used to go to one in Salt Lake City. Great prices and great ready made food, cheap fresh flowers, cheap wine, etc. Can't wait to move!
I understand that some people might view Tulsa’s schools negatively, but it’s important to consider the surrounding areas as well. For example, in places like Jenks and Bixby, where I live, the schools are fantastic. The neighborhoods are safe and clean, which attracts families and drives up home values. The schools here have excellent ratings, dedicated staff, and strong community support. Plus, both Jenks and Bixby high school football teams are known nationwide. So, while Tulsa proper might have its challenges, the broader area offers some great educational opportunities and a high quality of life

I’m from Canada, lived in la, Austin and now Stillwater ok for the past 3 years. Stillwater is ok but a tad boring. Looked at living in OKC but considering Tulsa instead. Looks decent. OKC has been a disappointment so far

oh, there's live music & plenty of us that don't enjoy country music lol. Cain's Ballroom is celebrating 100yrs this year. there's also Tulsa theater aka the Brady theater, the shrine, the vanguard & more small venues, lots of bars have live band nights. I've been to see rock, rap, pop, underground, & local bands. of course country music comes here too, I just don't go to them. we also get comedians at venues & comedy clubs. sports games, especially University of Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State University lol we have a variety of sports. recently opened an ice rink. there's places to paintball, rent go karts, do archery, escape rooms, smash rooms, & more... it's been growing out here lately
Tulsa really is a melting pot, everyone is here...all kinds of races, religions, sexualities, & gangs. not much pays well in the area, which is why it's inexpensive to live here.

Avoid coming in July and August - the heat and humidity will kill you. April, May, and October are the very best months.
