I stumbled upon this with six hearts and 2 extra slots of stamina to my name and tirelessly fought through all those lynels. Uprading my gear as fast as I could in between attacks and kills. It took half an hour. And I’ve been shaking since
Bruh same. I had 4 hearts and a dream used just about every strategy my inventory would allow came down to perfect parrys and dodges and even then the last one killed me like 10 times. Thank God I had just upgraded my armor cuz I still got one shot no matter what I did

i spent 2 hours doing this fight early game, if you have enough weapons you can kill the lynels, since they keep dropping their horns and bows, also is handy to have the powerful swords that leaves you at 1hp since you would die in one hit anyways agains a silver lynel.
You can cheese them if you have done a few of the temples. just go over to the steps and move back and forth dodging the arrows and let your “friends” do the work. It takes time but it can be done
This confirms that even Ganondorf and by extension, Demise's will _is scared of Majora._ Look at the protection they gave for it. Look at how much they didn't want anyone using this mask. This makes sense because Majora wants to destroy everything and Demise and Ganondorf, while sane, want to rule over it. Even Demise and Ganondorf have standards. Even Demise and Ganondorf think Majora is _NUCKING FUTS._ ....!!!!! _THE ENEMIES DON'T ATTACK YOU BECAUSE THEY'RE EITHER TOO DUMB TO REALIZE THAT MAJORA ISN'T TRULY ON THEIR SIDE OR THE MASK LITERALLY FORCES THEM TO PAUSE IN FEAR AND CONTEMPLATE WHETHER ATTACKING YOU IS EVEN A GOOD IDEA. THE LYNELS ARE SMART ENOUGH TO RECOGNIZE WHAT YOU'RE WEARING. THEY'RE SMART ENOUGH TO BE AFRAID. THEY'RE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE TO BE PUT DOWN FOR THE SAFETY OF THE ENTIRE WORLD, ALIGNMENT BE DAMNED AND THEY'RE THE ONLY ONES STRONG ENOUGH IN THE AREA TO EVEN REMOTELY STAND A CHANCE OF DOING SO AT THAT MOMENT._ THAT'S F***ING BRILLIANT GAME DESIGN. AND ALSO HORRIFYING.
Yeah, and I'm sure the devs did this because this is the favorite item of speedrunners and glitch explorers especially. Can't have NPC abuse get interrupted.

Well with how overpowered it is this is a fair trade off.Players shouldn't have been able to grab a mask that allows them to ignore the games combat that early in the game that should have been an endgame award. I still feel like killing five lynels wasn't enough for the reward I wanted to fight a Gold Lynel to.
For people struggling , go ahead and gather lots of smoke mushroom , throw it at him and wait for the question mark to pop , beat him and renew the smoke every time it start to desapear he will be stuck and it will be easy for you to get it .
Wish I thought to do this, I beat it by running the whole time waiting for counter and mount opportunities, took me like 2 attempts and 45 minutes cause I ran out of shields so I was forced to reset to the start of the fight
Just found this location by random chance. Spent a whole lot of time trying to kill all of them with my low level gear. Really hard but I got the mask lol
same, got a bit annoying because autosave does NOT save new weapons, so i couldnt keep the weapons they were dropping and for the last one i was just down to 1 cursed blade and an almost broken royal claymore with silver slim horn, i had to abuse the fact that attacking them while mounting them does not waste durability
@@sadcastudio save system overall is very flawed in this game., lots of times you get sent back but enemies have all their HP but you wasted your resources, or the zonai vehicle you created is no longer there but the resources you used are gone...
@@randy2216 ah yes, i love when early game in the plateau i tried to take down 4 black bokoblins and their boss using all my topaz, then i died, all enemies respawned full HP and i was in the midle of their camp so stealth wasnt an option anymore, but they took away all the topaz i used in my arrows, i also love being sent back 10 minutes because autosave does nothing and i also love how after going through 2 menus to save there is an extra step because "cancel" is the default option when you try to save because you totally end there accidentally. If you arent gonna give me a accesible quicksave button then its up to you (game) to properly do the saving.
man, ive never had more fun in this game. i stumbled across this while surveying the depths and said oh this is neat wonder what this is, little did i know i walked into a lynel playpen. i only had a 1 40 dmg weapon on the verge of breaking and a bunch of wood weapons and was able to beat the first lynel and use its loot to upgrade my wood weapons and beat the next one. beat this on my first go around but only because i had 2 fairys at the time. cery happy with the reward
I actually fought against those f*ckers and damn, I'm kinda angry you can just make them vanish, it was such a pain in the a** I almost gave up because all my weapons broke

To fight lynels without ancient blades, equip yourself with a bunch of puffshrooms, firing your arrows between yourself and lynel. Run around and attack with a strong fused sword from behind or jump on them and attack. Weapons don't take damage when mounted on lynel. Puffshrooms make the battle soooooo much easier.
PRO TIP: you can have your champion/spirits kill the lynel for you. Lure the lynel to the entrance but be careful to not activate the gate and guide them outside and run back in, the gate should close in between you both, leaving link trapped inside with the lynel outside. You can then let your champs cheese him out till the lynel is dead while you avoid the lynels arrows that he’s shooting. Managed to get my mask today doing this lol
Much harder to get then in BOTW! I would get it as soon as I left the Great Plateau and used it a lot during my playthroughs. It was kind of OP so I guess it's better to be harder to get in TOTK.
Beat all 5 lynels fairly easily. Just beat the 1st one with the master sword, took its bow and spammed headshots on all the other ones while fusing their dropped weapons which did like 10 damage, headshots were the play.
Just went there to break some weapons, no sages yet. Didn't knew it was Majora's but damn satisfying when I got it. Some tips: -prepare a lot of yellow heart meals (focus on the number of meals, not hearts gain). You can easily get 7 hearty salmon near Rito village. Yellow hearts acts like Daruk's Protection against gloom attacks. Gloom attacks remove all yellow hearts but cannot affect red hearts at the same time. One yellow heart can tank a explosion slam from a Silver Lynel. -you can save and/or retreat after each Lynel killed
How fitting that there are 5 Lynels lurking directly beneath the Coliseum Ruins where you can fight a Lynel in BOTW. I was too scared to fight Lynels TOTK style until I forced myself to fight those 5 to get the mask.

Me: *Pulls out fused Knight gear* I'm just getting started! *More than 20 deaths later* FINALLY!
Honestly this was pretty easy if you know the lynal attacks. The only trouble I had was not having a hammer weapon but I used a horn that was laying on the ground
I managed to have the resources to do this before even clearing my first dungeon (and when I only had about a week of gameplay under my belt) due to exploring Hyrule Castle for good weapons and getting good monster parts (namely Stalnox horns). I even got 2 Gloom Swords that fused with the horns for good damage.
Im beginning to wonder if my game is glitched. I keep seeing videos of this game but things happened different for me. I didn't have to fight the Lynels one by one. The doors opened faster and I had at least 2 at once. Does it change if you have stronger weapons or are farther in the main story? Because I see some enter a cave or places with easier enemies but I got the strongest ones or also when opening chests. 🤷🏾♂️
you can get them from the gachapon machines found around hyrule. the easiest one to get to that actually has steering sticks is located at tarrytown !!

Edit: found another one in a chest in Gorko tunnel it’s out in the open inside the cave gorko tunnel on the other side of some lava on death mountain
This is the first that I'm learning about the ancient blade. The ability to one shot a lynel is great. However, do you not get any loot? If yes, would you know what the 2nd strongest fuse is? I still want the loot.
This makes you become THAT GUY when you get it. You can literally walk into an enemy camp, loot their chests and steal their food and they won’t care because THEY KNOW what a menace majora is and also what a menace YOU are becuase you killed 5 Lynels to get this
i beat all four lynals legitimately until i kept dying over and over to the last armoured lynal since i had zero explosives for like a couple hour.s After attempt number 20, i saved and put my game down in rage.Then found this vid, realized I had only one of those arrow attachments, loaded the save file to the armoured lynal, shot it, instantly perishing, and now i have my fucking mask.
"what a fun looking spot on my map" And then proceeded to fight all of them with my mid level weapons and two attack up dishes with flurry rushing as my only skill
i was here for fun. i love fighting lynels: they were my night and day in botw. id watch blood moone and laugh because it was time to hunt. i have so many bows that theyre not an issue, the world is so small and in my hands so easy to crush. i found the colleseum on accident, i found it because i dont like gleeoks. i came here, and knocked out all of the lynels with three hearts and a one bar stamina bar. in twenty minutes. i didnt do it for the chest. i did it for the god forsaken bow.
i found this area by accident and not knowing the chest actually have that mask cuz naturally and obviously, i died to the very first lynel. Such a skill issue for me tbh. And here i thought im finally confident enough to parry and flurry rush other enemies with is
If you are a tryhard who wants it early like me heres a tip: bring a weapon that deals at least 30 damage and at least 150 arrows, and a few bomb flowers for some reason htting a lynel while riding it does not consume weapon durability
Look towards the end of their finding 5th sage video walkthrough part 8. You’re talking about the ancient blades right that’s what they’re called in this game that can be attached to your arrows or other weapons.

it works on bokoblins, boss bokoblins,moblins,lizalfos,horriblins and lynels. but it only works on lynels for a little bit. and it also works on stal enemies too. but except stalnoxes.
@@javiervasquez625 They always were? With the exception of Majora’s Mask and the Phantom Ganon “Mask” (it’s a skull but they call it a mask in this game), all the monster masks (sans Horriblin because that wasn’t in BotW) were always basegame.
I found this completely by accident and i expected to find something like crystallised charge after all those lynels but instead i got majora's mask 😂😂
Fun fact: Enemies know it's still you under that mask. But they also know you killed five lynels to get it, and they don't need that kind of smoke.

do spirit temple, then a steward will trade with you, but ancient daggers are heavily nerfed
After doing the Spirit Temple, there will be a construct where you can trade 50x Zonaite for an Ancient Blade. You probably won't miss it.
You can also get them from the guardian amiibo

note you do not have to do them all in one go! You can fast travel after each one but pick up the loot first!

He's using ancient arrows to kill them. When you use ancient arrows to kill an enemy they leave no loot behind.
Just like in BotW, everything is disintegrated, loot and weapon included.

This makes you become THAT GUY when you get it. You can literally walk into an enemy camp, loot their chests and steal their food and they won’t care because THEY KNOW what a menace majora is and also what a menace YOU are becuase you killed 5 Lynels to get this

Is it just me or are many of the armour sets and masks that you get in this game ones that were dlc in the first game?
I figured it out but microphones or text help a lot through tutorials.
i beat all four lynals legitimately until i kept dying over and over to the last armoured lynal since i had zero explosives for like a couple hour.s After attempt number 20, i saved and put my game down in rage.Then found this vid, realized I had only one of those arrow attachments, loaded the save file to the armoured lynal, shot it, instantly perishing, and now i have my fucking mask.
I'm really glad they gave a lot of the amiibo armor to us for free in this game. Well not free but you know what I mean.

i was here for fun. i love fighting lynels: they were my night and day in botw. id watch blood moone and laugh because it was time to hunt. i have so many bows that theyre not an issue, the world is so small and in my hands so easy to crush. i found the colleseum on accident, i found it because i dont like gleeoks. i came here, and knocked out all of the lynels with three hearts and a one bar stamina bar.
in twenty minutes. i didnt do it for the chest.
i did it for the god forsaken bow.

i found this area by accident and not knowing the chest actually have that mask cuz naturally and obviously, i died to the very first lynel. Such a skill issue for me tbh. And here i thought im finally confident enough to parry and flurry rush other enemies with is

If you are a tryhard who wants it early like me heres a tip: bring a weapon that deals at least 30 damage and at least 150 arrows, and a few bomb flowers for some reason htting a lynel while riding it does not consume weapon durability

Look towards the end of their finding 5th sage video walkthrough part 8. You’re talking about the ancient blades right that’s what they’re called in this game that can be attached to your arrows or other weapons.
Why I never ever think about the use of the ancient blade to destroy all lynels in a short time here than hardly fight with each one of it 😅

it works on bokoblins, boss bokoblins,moblins,lizalfos,horriblins and lynels. but it only works on lynels for a little bit. and it also works on stal enemies too. but except stalnoxes.

They always were? With the exception of Majora’s Mask and the Phantom Ganon “Mask” (it’s a skull but they call it a mask in this game), all the monster masks (sans Horriblin because that wasn’t in BotW) were always basegame.
Love that I absolutely refuse to fight gloom hands now but I’m fine with throwing hands with 5 lynels.

You might want to mention that you need 5 stupid ancient blades. I got all the way here and ONLY had one.
You can duplicate them, if necessary.
Edit: Or if you have that Royal Guard Claymore with Silver Lynel Saber Horn attached, kill the Lynels normally
Yeah...I only had one, but I had the master sword and the hylian shield, And tulin helped alittle. Haha but I beat all 4 and used it on the last one.

Man, i do not know why nintendo wont add the complete skull kid set. It would look awesome. There are many ugly set available already.
if there was a totk dlc they would probably add a skull kid set too and it might also be able to work on all enemies.
