I had the pleasure of working for one of the companies hired to do most of their QA for TFU. And the development of that game is probably a story worth telling in of itself. One thing that people might not know is that the game was originally designed to have much more RPG elements within it. I'll never forget the bug "button to attack is the same as button tot talk" which was closed as they got rid of the "talk" action in the end and went for a much more streamlined version of the game. Factions were removed and the whole campaign streamlined in a fixed series of sequential missions. On the PS2 version once you finished the game you could unlock almost all character models imaginable and play as them in the game. And it also had the characters models playing out the apprentice's scene. We had such a good time making The emperor, Lando, etc. kiss juno and other hilarious scenes that would happen when switching the character models. Sadly someone bugged that you could have juno kiss juno, and then suddenly the cutscenes always used the apprentice model, or were skipped. I don't remember the final call. Testing this game and the sequel were the best times I've ever had working in gaming, and working period. A sort of college atmosphere with cool people who loved games. I still miss that time of my life.
A Darth Maul game sounds really interesting as an idea. Given how little screen time he got and his story arc since the film, it's surprising no one has re-visited this as a potential game. My title pitch, Star Wars: Rise of the Apprentice (TM Monkey Productions)

@@OneRedKraken that is so cool!! Thanks for sharing man, that is so interesting and insightful. I can’t imagine how fun it was to play test this game.
What a sick looking book man, some of that art is masterful.
It really is! This thing was full of amazing ideas and an endless amount of masterpieces.

@@Monkey_SK I totally agree!! I for one am very much looking forward to hearing more about Monkey Productions future endeavors.
Awesome. The Force Unleashed was peak quality and creativity and it's nice to learn how that came to be.
It really was, I wish we had more pure creativity in Star Wars games today.
RIP 1313 and the momentum LucasArts had

Great video!
@@Motor_Roman appreciate it man! That really means a lot.
