I like the restored version better! The graphics and plot are MUCH improved. The only thing I might have a beef with is the monks reasons for not reporting the bathhouse owner. It just seems flimsy, and he only gets the courage to fistfight ( I laughed a little at that) the bad guy AFTER MC does all the haunting/ terror heavy lifting.

I kinda like both, it’s reminiscent, to me at least, of a story passed down, and the real events. Like the first game is how the story got told, years after the facts, and the remake is the truth behind it, with more information, and tidbits that got dropped or forgot as time past

I was always annoyed that the "creepy guy" was just a red herring, and that good ending was so sweet. They rarely have good endings, so I was pleasantly surprised. I wonder if their other games are getting remakes with adjusted stories so we can get a good ending?

I like them both but they definitely seem like two different games/stories. I definitely like the second one more just because that’s their mom.

Didn't expect the WWE in a bathhouse! Overall, I like both version regardless. If they wanna do this again on their previous game, they should add some sort easter egg or secret ending where new version encounter old version. Maybe one day!

If you own the OG, you get the restored version for free, which is amazing from the devs. I would’ve paid for it again. It’s that good.
