Wow! They really thought of every issue with the grit guards. Wish I knew about these a year ago. Well I can donate my old grit guards and get a set of these. 🤪
The bad news is that only two of the colors (blue and yellow) are on Prime; the red and black are also $1 more. Maybe that's just Amazon. Thanks for the video Pan.
They all should be $19.99 - Amazon USA - Black & Red can still be ordered, it is slightly back logged by a day or so as Amazon is still pulling in more inventory from us from selling out :)
I always upload at least one new video per week. Typically on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. At 1pm Eastern time. But you're in luck. I have two more new videos coming this Saturday and Sunday! Stay tuned!! :)
Hello paaaaann !!! J’adore le coup du gant plein de sable, un truc comme ça chez moi c’est direction poubelle 😂 Je salue l’efficacité de la gritgard, c’est impressionnant !
Cheers Paaaaann the Organizer! I've been waiting for someone to come up with a better solution for trapping dirt particles and these look like they perform so much better than regular grit guards! Thanks for the excellent review, now off to Amazon to buy a pair. 👍
i been valeting cars for a while ... what is the best way to wash a car these days to advoid scratches ect ... is it 2 bucket wash or one wash bucket with many wash mitts in side?
Great video again Pan, this look great and super high quality compared to the GGuards I just bought for my buckets a couple of months ago. The do the job, but wish I had waited.
Well dang it now I'm going to have to get these even though I just recently got my first set of grit guards. I have the wheel guards which are awesome! Wonder if Matt will revise the bucket package with these. He'll have to raise the price to $375!! 😂😂😂
Yes they now make the Dirt Locks with new self-adjusting locking tabs to get them to stay snug in place. Here: amzn.to/3EnwYC9 You can also get just the locking grips if you want, to install them on your existing Dirt Locks: www.thedetailguardz.com/collections/whats-new/products/dirt-lock-premium-rubber-grip-attachment-4pk
Great video Pan, a few videos back i saw you had some detail gallon products with pump/spout that had some caps also to avoid spill, can you kindly refresh my memory what brand were they? Before i have to go thru your whole library of videos again LOL!
What newer model? From what I can tell, the Dirt Lock is still the same design. They just now ship with rubber inserts (which I also have) for a tighter fit in the bucket. My latest video with Detail Guardz stuff is here: ua-cam.com/video/xmCtN4Y0APM/v-deo.html
You asked me a question. I answered. I had Grit Guards before, and now I use these. What do you want me to tell you? An answer for dirt traps that I don't even use? I don't get it...
Pan TheOrganizer sorry about that, I’m getting really passionate about car detailing. I have a bad habit of just asking questions when it pops into my head. Sorry just trying to absorb everything your teaching. Thx
Hehe no worries, you found the right channel to learn everything about car detailing and bring your detailing game to the next level! I have been detailing cars for over 21 years and I love sharing my passion and knowledge with my viewers. I have one of the biggest and fastest growing detailing channels on UA-cam with over 300,000 subscribers and 32 million views! So hopefully you considered subscribing as I realease new videos each week. How did you discover my channel by the way?
Pan TheOrganizer I’ve become a huge fan. I’m watching a few of your videos each night to play catch up, if you will. I stared out watching others, but your detail approach is on another level (much higher)! You have a very methodical and precise approach to car detailing. I’m a journey level carpenter/woodworker and after 29+ years in the trade, I too consider myself methodical with a precise approach to stay efficient in what I do. I see that with how you perform your craft. So…, I bought a brand new 2018 Tundra, I know it’s not a glamorous sport sedan, such as an Audi, but it’s my luxury work truck, LOL. I love to detail it. I’ve done a bunch of “mods” to build it a certain way. You can see short video of it, just click on my channel. Eventually I want to get up the nerve to clay bar it and polish and wax it with a DA polisher. I’m hoping I’ll learn this through your channel. Again, very sorry to bombard you with a ton of quick short questions. I’ll try and write them all down and send groups of questions with less frequency, I know you must be very busy. Thx
Oh yeah! They are now in all my wash buckets. Did you also try their Detail Guardz car wash inserts? No more stuck hoses when you're washing your car! I had reviewed those in this video: ua-cam.com/video/M5ivguYhgdg/v-deo.html
is there a big difference in safety from scratches from this one and the one from chemical guys? i use the chemical guys special grit guard and the original on the top of that one and a grit guard washboard on top of that only in the rinse bucket. Im pretty sure thats pretty safe against scratches
hi pan how are you, this comment not related to this videos but related to your channel. i want to learn how to wash my bicycle and and what precautions i should take while doing that.
You use up 4 gallons of water while washing a car? I'm not sure I follow you here... I fill up a 5 gallon bucket with probably 4.5 gallons of water. There's still plenty left when I'm done washing the car. You obviously need a buffer zone between the bottom and the Dirt Lock, so that dirt stays trapped down there.
The revolution is not in the material (although it is a high quality plastic) it's in the patented design. These are way more efficient at trapping dirt than my previous standard grit guards that everyone has. These new Dirt Locks are in all my buckets. :)
A more evolved version with a focus placed on keeping the grit in the bottom instead of floating back up into the washing solution every time you dunk your wash mitt in the bucket. They did cool demos on their UA-cam and Instagram pages. Check them out.
Absolutely not. I'm putting the final touches on two of them. I really go into depth in those videos and they will be mega. There are just some things I need to wait for before I release them. Stay tuned!

Pan TheOrganizer I have the detail guardz dirt lock it’s amazing
Not sure how well this will work with my patented 63 bucket method.
LOL !! You're still on the old school method of 63 buckets? I now use 98.
I guess I gotta upgrade.
They look so solid and beautiful. I am already sold by their looks, leave alone performance😍
Wow! They really thought of every issue with the grit guards. Wish I knew about these a year ago. Well I can donate my old grit guards and get a set of these. 🤪
It's really a great innovation, like the design how it stays down in the bucket. thanks Pan!
Thanks Jahdel!
Thanks Pan. You ROCK! Just ordered my bucket filter and the tire guards. Both from Amazon.
Thanks for your support Ricky!
Pan! Can you do a clay bar video? Touching on various qualities, grade of the clay, use, etc!
Good idea!
Great video (as always!) Pan. Thanks for bringing awesome product reviews to the masses out here. Keep up the great work buddy.
Thanks Joe!!
Excellent video Pan, I loved the clear bucket demo so you can see how it works.
Thanks James!
Have been looking for some new buckets with original grit guards but all of a sudden I'm getting excited with these! 🙈😂
You'll love them!
Small details that make the difference. Thank You
Exactly!
Exactly what I was looking for!
How did you discover my channel Glenn?
Great video Pan. I was waiting for this video. I got the blue, red, and black for my bucket setup and they work and looks great!
I agree! They're also installed in all my wash buckets since the first time I tried them. :)
Very awesome innovation to trap dirt! awesome video pan :)
Thanks! :)

Thanks Jefferson!
Pan, where can I get a “see through “ bucket? Thanks.
It was a bucket the company had for their demonstration purposes. I haven't seen those available in Canada or USA...
I think that in their facebook they said the name of those buckets but they mentioned they had a cost of $60 each
Holy Business detail division has them they're called Ghost Buckets at 22.99 each.
Business price club
@@GR71393 nice, you found them!
Friday!!!! Pan Day!!! another great video.
And I'm happy to report you guys are getting new videos Saturday and Sunday too this week!! :)

Thanks Edgar! Just don't forget, my name is Pan. Not Pam. LOL
Sorry.....Pan ....error on my part when typing ... thousand apologies
No worries. I kind of guessed it was a typo. ;)
Paaan Rules 🤘🏼 love your videos
Thanks!! More videos this weekend!
Hello paaaaann !!!
I regret being late.Haha btw awesome video Pan. :)
Thanks Amirul!
Cheers Paaaaann the Organizer! I've been waiting for someone to come up with a better solution for trapping dirt particles and these look like they perform so much better than regular grit guards! Thanks for the excellent review, now off to Amazon to buy a pair. 👍
Thanks Graham!! And yes, they work better than my previous grit guards. I was happy to see true innovation in that world.
PAAAAAAAAN THE ORGANIZER...love that
😄👍🏻
i been valeting cars for a while ... what is the best way to wash a car these days to advoid scratches ect ... is it 2 bucket wash or one wash bucket with many wash mitts in side?
Thanks Pan but the grit guard from Chemical Guys called the cyclone looks really cool too I think I will go for the CG one
Maybe the Cyclone at the bottom with the Turbine stacked on top would be the best way. The ultimate might include a washboard on top.
For the 2 bucket method, do you need only 1 for the water bucket or need 2 for both buckets?
To be on the safe side, I add one filter per bucket.
Un tres bon equipement tres utile sur le long terme ;)
Tout à fait!
well that looks amazing ! sold !
They are! They are now permanently in my buckets.
Will this work on any 5 gal bucket or do I need a proprietary bucket?
Thanks for vid.
Any typical car wash bucket, 3.5 gal, 5 gal, etc.
next up no dobut will be the buckanizer by detailing outlawz in germany, amazing product.
Have you tried the srub and pump attachment with the dirt lock? Does it get a better job?
I haven’t tried that
Great video again Pan, this look great and super high quality compared to the GGuards I just bought for my buckets a couple of months ago. The do the job, but wish I had waited.
Thanks!
Well dang it now I'm going to have to get these even though I just recently got my first set of grit guards. I have the wheel guards which are awesome! Wonder if Matt will revise the bucket package with these. He'll have to raise the price to $375!! 😂😂😂
😂😂👍🏻
Are you supposed to remove the black rubber feet before putting them in the bucket? Then add water?
No. The rubber inserts stay there to ensure a tight fit.
Amazing another product I will buy soon
:)
Red for the win!
:)
I have these in my 5gallon buckets but can’t get them to stop floating - any tips Pan?

Hahaha! Thanks George!
Great video! Hey Pan. It's been a few years. Are you still high on this product for us DIYers? Thanks!
Yes absolutely!
Do you use these in both the soap bucket & rinse bucket?
Yes
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you sir!
U r just a great guy
Thanks Folarin!
Great video. Amazon won't ship to Australia.
Thanks!!
Did you try contacting The Detail Guardz customer service? They’re pretty good at finding solutions.
Hi do u have video for this guardz vs the chemical guys one?
No
It is compatible with Meguiar's buckets ?
If they are standard buckets yes. They fit pretty much all 5 gallon buckets.
Will they fit the Rag Company buckets?
They fit any regular buckets
Great video Pan, a few videos back i saw you had some detail gallon products with pump/spout that had some caps also to avoid spill, can you kindly refresh my memory what brand were they? Before i have to go thru your whole library of videos again LOL!
Can you give me more details? Not sure about what it is you’re asking... how big were the bottles?
Pan TheOrganizer Do you use any type of pumps on your gallon bottles to avoid spillage when transferring to bottle sprayers?
Nope. I just use a funnel.
Ivan that may have been autofanatic. He buys them from amazon
Do these fit in a typical Home Depot orange bucket?
I didn't test personally, but it should fit standard size 3 to 5 gallon buckets.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks for the prompt reply. Have you done an updated video of their newer model?

You would have to email the company and ask them.
I need them

Hey Pan, what’s your preferred bucket dirt trap/guard?
This one.
Pan TheOrganizer completely unbiased? Lol
You asked me a question. I answered. I had Grit Guards before, and now I use these. What do you want me to tell you? An answer for dirt traps that I don't even use? I don't get it...
Do you know if these fit autogeek's 5 gallon buckets from the Grit Guard Dual Bucket Washing System?
They should fit pretty much any 3.5 to 5 gallon wash buckets.
Who would you recommend going to for a bucket caddy, I need wheels for my bucket. Thx
You sure have a lot questions! Lol.
Maybe put them all in the same comment...
I got my bucket caddies from Autogeek.

Pretty much any standard 3.5 to 5 gallon bucket

I never used the Chemical Guys one, so impossible for me to say. But I know these Turbine Dirt Locks work better than my previous Grit Guards.
yeah thats for sure the original grit guards have big wholes so not very effective at holding the dirt down
I previously had the CG dirt trap with grit guard insert and washboard. I decided to dump them and just use these dirt locks.
@@fgrm1979 and do you notice any big difference between them?
Markus Bend I like better the design over the grit guard and over CG dirt trap. In terms of performance both the CG and dirt locks work well.
Sound very similar to CG dirt trap
Different system. Different take to solve a common issue of keeping dirt separate from your wash solution.
They need to a make a bucket that is deeper to accept the screen. I had some they took up to much room left me with very little water
I have 5 gallon and 3.5 gallon buckets and they fit perfectly. What size buckets are you using Mike?
hi pan how are you, this comment not related to this videos but related to your channel. i want to learn how to wash my bicycle and and what precautions i should take while doing that.
5 gallon bucket. But when but put the scree in the bucket only leaves 4 gallons of water depth
