I really enjoyed her presentation. Instead of droning on and name dropping about designers and artists, she had an animated voice and told us about the things she loves. Loved it.

This is the best tour ever. So nice to see a real family home and listen to a person who has actually raised a family, been aware of budgets and understands the reality of living vs looking at a house.

I am so not a neutral person, but am delighted that I gave this tour a chance. She was marvelous. Practical and down-to-earth with lots of useful suggestions. And the home at least has a lot of wonderful pattern and texture. The basement was fabulous and I would live down there!
Karen Mooney is so personable and relatable! I could hang out with her for hours and never feel awkward or bored. She has some great decorating tips that anyone in any budget could use. Great tour!

What an enjoyable tour!!!
She is the only person I ever heard mention that she doesn’t need photos of family on the walls. Most people love to put photos of themselves in their space but I don’t lean that way either. I imagine it would be fun to be a friend of hers because she clearly wants people to feel at home in her home. That is more important than impressing others with your “stuff”.
“Not afraid of faux greenery” made this my favorite tour yet! Very practical, very cozy and just an overall smart and happy home. I loved this one.

I thought the sunroom was my favorite, with all the windows and views. Then she took us to the basement! Are you kidding me!!!! As a lover of darks and color, this room blew my mind. The deep, saturated jewel tones were so enveloping , like a cozy hug. It felt so unique to any space I have ever seen. A lesson to listen to your husband. He definitely had a vision. And together you created it.

She's a great salesperson so no wonder she's now president of Ballard. I especially like what she did to the basement. Peacock blue really works well and brings everything together. Such talent to mix high-end pieces with functional Ikea, which is what I do on a limited income. She leans on Bunny Williams, my all-time favorite designer, for inspiration, so I guess that's why I like her decorating scheme: Bunny Williams Part Two. Good job, lady!

I've been involved in housing design, construction and sales over the course of four decades, and I often feel like I've quite simply seen all there is to see, but I can say with honesty I really enjoyed this tour. I felt like I was walking through the house with a glass of wine in hand as I listened to Karen tell me about her home and it's many features. Her conversation never got dull, and she seems very down-to-earth in a picture-perfect environment, which is a rare enough combination. On a side note, I'll wager there was some friction between neighbours when that Monster House was built next door.
I absolutely love Karen and her presentation. She has a great personality and a beautiful way of talking about her home. I love that she goes against the grain and does what she loves. This was so refreshing and entertaining.

She’s really been influenced by Bunny Williams with seating numbers and tables close for use. Bunny the best. This woman is funny, talking about her house and its refreshing. I also wonder being a graphic artist how she transitioned from color in her graphics toward neutrals. Very interesting.

I have seen a lot of home videos on many different channels and this is my all time favorite. The host is warm, friendly, real, and entertaining! Her home is amazing! I’ve always thought those bungalows in Va. Highlands were too small but this blew me away. I hope we get to see more videos like this!

Can see alot of Karen's **graphic intelligence in placement of objects/ furnishings, textural juxtapositions. A gentle dynamism is created throughout. The light *quality (warm, luminous) - both naturally, as well as Karen's electrical choices - are really wonderful in this handsome place. -Heck of a *luscious "bungalow," and interesting sounding neighborhood, generally, given Karen's description. -*Enjoyed this, enjoyed our hostess, and my thanks.

One of my favorites so far. I loved her home but I loved her even more. She speaks so well and is such a natural. She seems so very genuine and fun. I’d love to be their neighbor and or friend. I bet they have a wonderful time in this house. ❤

I loved the idea of purchasing a piece of high end art in the form of a scarf and turning into a beautiful piece of wall art. Genius! Also liked that she kept it simple with white subway tile in all showers and then mixed it up with different tile for the shower flooring. More great ideas for hi/lo: Ikea cabinets, inexpensive privacy shades behind stationary Roman shades, indoor/outdoor rugs in guest bathroom, Instapot in the dining room cubbard, etched privacy glass in the bathrooms, and so much more. I love the basement and the mix of colors! A tad of animal print in each room is a great idea. Her creativity and her ability to mix less expensive things with pricier items is a bit a genius, which I admire. I'm going to "borrow" some of her ideas. My guest room is also the library. I have a coffee bar, a fridge, and, of course, reading material. This was one of my faves. Thank you!

This is the Karen that I would like to emulate! Her design philosophy and the keeping in budget. A president of Ballard yet still got some Ikea items and conscious with budget. I've saved this video and I hope I'll remember to rewatch it when I'm redesigning my house.
Im a boy mom and love how she combines family practicality (fabrics and surfaces) and style. I have similar style dining room chairs (from more affordable World Market) that i think i will reupholster like hers. She has a beautiful family home
