Soilwork and In Flames are both such legendary bands to me, still very much so to this day.
Peak Death metal, both. I have very good memories with these bands.
these 2 have been my whole youth
In Flames + Soilwork = Flamework
Soilflames
William Laliberté That would hurt.
William Laliberté i like flameworks more
William Laliberté
Sounds more like the aftermath of going to Taco Bell
Foilwork

i was a teen when i listened to this song, now im 31 and holy fuck still getting this epic feeling , metal never dies!
Same heard it in a Newgrounds game
Love that feeling
Hard to kill metal 😄
Same feeling man, especially when you look this video in tandem with Trigger from In Flames. Just epic and catchy.
We got the same age and the same nostalgia !
Listened to this as a kid in high school. Really resonated with me. Still does now at 30
I am a 56 calisthenics man & still love it...it will never stop!
Loved this song when I was in elementary school. Means a lot to me now at 43.

ola that plays guitar is my teacher hhah
G'day from Australia!
Greetings from Transyilvania :)
good music never dies :>
I love how In Flames and Soilwork made two almost the same videos and both of my favorite songs from the bands.
Yeah, they're actually in eachother's videos, and that's the whole point.
Everyone thought In Flames and Soilwork had this big feud going on because they were both from Sweden and making similar music, but they put the rumours to rest when they made music videos together.
A sellout band calling another sellout band sellouts! Quite ironic when you look at it... luckily Soilwork has recently improved a great deal from this radio-friendly stuff they played on this album and the following two.
SaturnineXTS You sir,
are not welcome here.
I don't mind. I'm welcome on "The Living Infinite" videos, and I'm glad.
SaturnineXTS No need to be a big shot elitist buddy.
Trust me, I listen to the heaviest of the heavy, and that doesn't mean I don't like a bit of melodic. Like it? Cool. Don't? Just like you said, they'll apparently accept you on that other video, doesn't mean you should come to this one just for the sake of arguing.
Sometimes a band finds that perfect sound that resonates with you... and speaks through you. I owe soilwork my life. I owe them everything
I hear you bro. Many don't understand the beauty and power of good metal, some bands just have that magical feeling you can't explain.
WOW Movie - Vurtne 5 (60-66 Mage PVP). This track was at the beginning of the movie. Love it sooo much!
The wow pvp video's Man

Light on roof : NO
I love the fact that In Flames did the same kind of video with Soilwork!!
I thought that was the guys from in flames.
I thought that was the guys from in flames.
+vicpic666 i found fun that they call soilwork "sellout" at the beginning of the video when they have released reroute to remain at the same time (i know the video was a joke, but still)
Stabbing the drama my all time favorite from soilwork.
I remember this video when it came out, along side with the In Flames-Trigger video. I was about 18 back then. This is one of the coolest videos ever made!
ekswfrenwn7 I remember getting both of them from Kazaa in like 2002. I watched both videos every day for months lol
Man that melodic part always catches me, always!!!!
Its so amazing that I keep playing it on loop
Such a fun time in my life...43 almost 44. Love this band and the memories they gave me.
I've listened to it a lot with my friends in 2000s. I miss them.
If Soilwork and In Flames toured together in the US, I'd go to every show.
Soilwork opened for In Flames on their 2002 euro tour, so it might be possible someday...
I saw them both on the same day on Ozzfest 2005
@@stephenm8725 Great lineup on that tour; Soilwork, In Flames, Mastodon, Arch Enemy, The Haunted, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, not to mention Maiden, Sabbath, Black Label Society, etc.
@@kitoyobeni1 i know right! for me, i met in flames and shook Zakk Wylde's hand too \m/
@@stephenm8725 It was the first chance for me to see a lot of those European bands.
Looking back at this in 2021 brings tears to the eyes 🥲🔥🔥🔥
I know I'm probably gonna stand alone here, but damn I love those synths. Shame they are so quiet
children of bodom has nothing to do with soilwork they sound completely different and they are different genre
Sergey Naruzhiny
He's talking about the usage of synths
+Sergey Naruzhiny lol, they are melodeath too, but yeah, they sound very different.
Love the synths, the lead on "As we speak" is one of my fav things
Bro I love synths in my metal. Godflesh Kill 2 This early Fear Factory just to name 3.
I love how Anders writes "Soilwork Sux" on the wall. I just love how in flames is in their video, its awesome
2 Awesome Songs performed by 2 Amazing bands
Vurtne !!
Over 20 years ago now. I got that sampler CD from Ozzfest. This track was on it, these guys. It's been kind of an anthem through my adult life from early adulthood to now. Thie highs and lows. Day or night. Time keeps passing, life keeps going.
I miss those times, cruising northern central CA, going to Fry's Electronics. I didn't understand anything. Things have changed, and yet in some ways they haven't.
All the good things. All the haters. All the heartbreak. All the enlightenment.
The newness. The old stomping grounds. This was a track I'd just listen to. Because it's in its own league. A gem, like how I listen to certain Ozzy tracks on the road, different ones in the forest, etc.
I don't know what I am trying to say. It's just, the sound of this song has always resonated with me. Variety of situations. In a way it kind of brings me back from whatever I have been facing. The good with the bad. Or gets me through tough times. Or something I can enjoy when it's good.
I don't know if anyone else understands all that. This track kick ass and that's it.
I saw In Flames live at the Backroom in Austin TX in 2006. They were headlining and played for about 2 hours, even after everyone was heading out.
Jamming this while pvping in wow back in 08. Those were the days
Classic coming soon and we can relive the past!
2008 was yesterday.
Good ol' Soilwork and In Flames, we meet again!
Never gets old, i still love this band
uh yeah I'm stuck too I watch this then trigger then repeat over and over again! I LOVE SOILWORK & IN FLAMES! They need to tour the U.S. TOGETHER soon! \m/
My favourite band!
I love the vocals in this song.
My favourite 'old' Soilwork song. I love the clean part before the solo! I saw them live twice! Great band, best Benelux metal drummer ever!
I told my Swedish friend about these videos, about how both bands were in each other's videos and how in the videos they are at each other's shows. He said that was no joke back them, that was the entire audience was other bands lol. I'm pretty jealous, I'm still not sure he understands how special that time was to everyone..maybe he does, but as an American young adult at the time, we could feel the energy all the way across the Atlantic
Wireless My God they visited Uruguay 🇺🇾 in 2018 unforgetable!!! Our band Soulless Faith has the honour to be bhere too. All My love for Soilwork 🖤🖤🎸🎸🤘🏼🤘🏼
ahh memories!!! I remeber starting university when I heard this song!
Yeah im still listening to this song and all their old songs too :3
Soilwork for life
I hear this every fucking day of my life since I have 12. So... you are not alone.
Most melodic chorus ever! Bringing back memories ❤️
First song that I heard from them, love at first sigh! 🥰
in flames x soilwork :)
In Flames and Vurtne brought me here xD I love both Soilwork and In Flames
Hello all from the USA. Soilwork is THE BEST!
havent been able to get this song out of my head since I first heard it years ago
1:20 Anders writing on the wall "Soilwork Sux" ahahha really fun!
Vurtne.
На мой взгляд, это самый клёвый трек за всю историю Soilwork. Драйвово и до сих пор отлично слушается
Love the song and the solo!
one of the best and appropriates sounds metal band ever made in the history
Quando ouvi esse refrao a primeira vez mano, até então so curtia extremo isso foi um novo mundo, foi mágico ouvir essas melodias e meu ja faz uns 15 anos!
Estamos juntos!
Such a great song!
I love this band!!
Funny how in 2003 when both this and Trigger were made, Soilwork and In Flames were pretty much in the same spot as far as their music was concerned - indeed a bit sellout. And now, 13 years later look what happened to In Flames and look how amazing Soilwork has gotten. They've diverged as far as the earth and sky.
Look at Dark Tranqiliity aswell. They have become gods, In Flames are dead.
lyle gentleman Of course they are comfortable with writing simple songs. Good songwriting isn't supposed to be comfortable. It's supposed to be challenging and in the end, produces an amazing result.
@@FrankBlocc so, now look where is In Flames with amazing album "I, the Mask", and where is Soilwork?) In Flames are gods.
God the verse before the chorus is so badass
Exactly my thoughts
The pre chorus
Forever my fav song of Soilwork !!
by far my favorite song from them. I've only been listening to Soilwork for about 2 weeks but man, they are now one of my favorite bands ever
Hope you’re still listening!
"SOIL-WORK"!!!! ARE BEYOND THE BEST LIVE!!!! THEY CRUSH ALL THESE NEW FAKE ASS TRENDY BANDS APART! !! it's called "TALENT "!!!!!
First song i heard by them in 2003 and seriously start to listen them in 2018 😄
Same time for me.....my first was the title track to this album.
😂😂😂
I'll forever love the video clash of soil work and in flames. Two great bands and two great songs. What's not to love?
Finally got to seem them live... It was amazing!
I AM SO FUCKING PROUD TO BE SWEDISH!! We have Tejbz, we have Soilwork, Amon Amarth, In Flames, you name it! We rock! :D
In flamez goin ham in tha back.
Met Dirk yesterday at L.A fonda theatre for their last stop on their tour!!! so sick guys! They played whirl of pain, rejection role, stabbing the drama, and nerve!
I'll always come back to this song and these videoclips (Trigger included).
I'm the result of an ageless redemption
A body with a heartless convention
A face with a smile that's been shut down for years
Facing the facts of my generation, 'cause
I'm a sinner, a winner, my blood is getting thinner
I might as well get another life cause I've been there
I know what's been said and I know what's been done
Don't you tell me I'm the only one, cause I
I will be there looking for something
Coming straight out of nothing, just killing time
Facing those walls so black, so vile
I really am waiting for nothing
Coming straight out of something, just killing time
Facing those walls so black, so vile
Now put your trust in a solid machine
Filled with words that have never been seen
A plague to insatiable souls left to die
Charged with mankind's raw energy
I rumble, I stumble
My memory starts to crumble
I can't refuse what's haunting my dreams
Have I stumbled?
On my way to a created perfection
I penetrate the gates of rejection
There's no determination, echoes of a failed gallery
There's yet extermination, inside us all screaming
The solo near the end!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
This video is actually the answer to the "In Flames-Trigger". True rejection of roles...same amazement. Great job by both bands.
1:25 Anders Fridén fail
+siMM V. lol yes throw failed badly
I bet everyone noticed it in production and just had to put it in because it was so funny.
2019!!!!!!🇧🇷
this was my favorite soilwork track for years.
Both bands are awesome and they know it too! A couple of the best music videos I've seen
Vurtne ofc
Loved them too. But In Flames kicked their asses in Trigger \m/
Coming back after all this years, i remember coming from school and going to skate listening this
Did I just see the In Flames pack there ? O.o
read this :p en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigger_%28EP%29
Dude, I miss Ola so much.
The drums at the beginning are.....wow , awesome song !
I hope SOILWORK has some more magic to come
I remember being 14 and taking this In Flames Vs. Soilwork war so hard. I was on In Flames side for the longest. Now Soilwork tilted the scales so much with the Living Infinite they had untapped potential they unleashed with that album. But this is still an oldie goldie
Vurtne Mage PvP!
Menarik....👍
Now this was the music of the late 90s early 2000s!! I love Soilwork/ In Flames. These guys are really good!
word, it wasnt just the music of the 90`s - the band itself was a bridge to modern mtlcore, legendary
LOL Anders writing "soilwork sux" XD These bands are great.
0:10 Seeing what In Flames have become these days, this is so fucking ironic...
Explain how they sold out?
They still make Music that THEY want to produce, not the record companies, they're old, siren charms was an example of aged In flames.
They simply wanted to experiment new things, They didnt grub on big record company money.
They're old not young lol
Many musicians do this, it's normal..... do you bang your girl different ways and try new things? xD
Seen their new clip with Vans ad on Anders' head? Seen how much views they gain these days? They clearly weren't this popular before. Although their new album is complete commercial garbage. They sold out completely. And that "They are old" example of yours is invalid as well. There are plenty of bands that are a lot older but didn't go all commercial at all (Dark Tranquillity is of the same age, the same genre and they are still doing amazing stuff).
Kamil Bigos u know, if u were to tell them they sold out they'd probably tell u "damn rights, they sell out every night." -Metallica quote
Zord Ledd They only did Melodeath for about 8 years give or take, they've done commercial metal for 12. If anything, they need to change and do something they haven't done in the past 12 years. Anything refreshing for the love of god.
Kamil Bigos Meh there album does suck, I'm use to liking at least 80% of their songs in each album but Siren charms.... I only like 2 or 3.
Disappointing but they like to venture and experience other stuff.
Soilwork went from Heavy to Heavier, In flames went from Heavier to just being heavy. These 2 videos from both bands are when they both were at the pinnacle of what this music genre could be! With that said their still both the best bands in the world in metal we trust and their both the best metal acts out there! \\..//
la mejor banda del mundo....tremendo tema....
Tempos que eu tava na escola, via em um DVD esse clipe direto! Saudades demais
1:43 he wears a t-shirt that writes TOOL on it hahah .... everyone likes tool :3 :P
it is an immense song! inflames are amazing and great live seen them play with slayer and children of bodom was awsome!
In flames lit my fire when I was only 16 and Soilwork with this song reignited when I was 28.. now I'm.. 41.. :(((
Love from Israel :)
vurtne!
Speed Strid, the only survivor from that era...
+Dario Santangelo not technically true. Sven the key board player is still in the band. And ola just left so yeah. Pretty much all the Era's of soilwork rocked!
In Flames and Soilwork in this video together and in 'Trigger' - awesome!
Love how this is the start of the In Flames Trigger video!
vurtne
yeah, well...soilwork started it!
my favorite song!
I LOVE THIS SHIT! That fact the two worked together to make this, and Trigger, just kicks ass. It's great to see two great bands to work together on something like this, even if what conceived as a joke.
Outstanding!
Proof that metal was better back in the early 00's.
new slipknot album was pretty impressive
