- Back in the day when you could comfortably fit four friends in the front seat, seatbelts be damned! This video is in response to a viewer who asked if I had any Hamilton videos. Well as shaky and amateur as it is, here is the only footage I have of Hamilton. My friends and I were on our way to Niagara Falls • NIAGARA FALLS - AUG. 3... and someone hired me to deliver some boxes of stuff to an address on Emerald Street (judging from the video anyway) in Hamilton thus paying for the gas to the falls!
back before the world died.
Such a cool clip of time from many moons ago...
Cannon variety! 250m from my house! Surprised you didn't get footage of Ivor Wynne Stadium.
It looks so much cleaner
thx very for filming this for us I really appreciated it reminded me the good old days !
Very cool this is a time machine video for me this is a year before my mom vassa died on October 16 1988 from a brain aneurysm in Her sleep at 38 years old and I was 16 years old and she grew up in Hamilton came to Hamilton in late 1950, I'm now living in downtown Hamilton at 24 Tisdale street south at main Street across from the no frills plaza
Man that is brings back memories. I was 22 years old. Living in Barton and James area.
4:46 Cannon Variety, still here 😂
You made several wrong turns there :)
Somehow ended up either going up the escarpment and getting off again at Main East, going down Longwood past the old Camco plant, then turning left into west Hamilton instead of right to downtown where Emerald is. Either way thanks for hte memories, this brought a lot flooding back :)
I find this very valuable. The Petro Canada to McMaster University portion is part of the route my family takes to drop my sister off in the campus. Of course, as time flies, change happens. The Petro Canada is demolished and is an empty lot and the Dairy Queen closed and the building was vacated, painted gray and white and the inside is boarded off.
The DQ demolished was within the last year, as was the dealership beside it.
The property is owned by Columbia College, another residence will be going up there. Dealership was Sterling Honda, now relocated to Upper James.
At 4:47. That looks like the old variety story at Emerald and Cannon. Now closed.
Oh wow... Lots of memories to unpack there.
I know exactly where this is. I live on Tisdale and remember this lady. Thank you for the memories
They know Hamilton more than Brian is saying.Especially the dark haired male passenger Daniel.
Wow talk about going back in time haha, the Dairy Queen on main west, and Queens subs is still there
This is my UA-cam account. Not the Felines.
I have been living in Hamilton these last five years and it feels weird to see the city without the condos.
I didn’t come to Canada until 2010 seeing this is kinda cool
I moved there in 95
Cannon Variety is still standing.
Ok Bucky
While you were in the store, I was sure that kid stole your truck @4:57
The good ol days when you had to ask for directions 🤣
At 3:25 they drove down my street!
Lots of important people with power once lived on that street.
There's NO ascension for any of you.
At 3:23. That's Proctor Avenue. Lots of prostitution there in 2024.
