I see a lot of pianists going for the Nord Lead (things like the Nord Grand 2/3/4/5...), packed with synthesis and synth stuff that they'll never use, Instead of investing in a good piano keyboard, that will make them feel 'at home' & as practial to transport as the Nord Grand ! George knows his stuff. Most pianists won't program a single sound on their fantabulous keyboard, & nowadays , every keyboardist likes to show of, at least , one red synth. Btw Love your channel! Hi. First av all, I am a huge fan of George Whitty! Cool video too. Here is my strange experience with both Casio CDP-S100 and Yamaha P45. After actually buying the Casio I changed my mind even though I was not unhappy with it and it worked very well as a controller to my Yamaha MX49 and I change it to a Yamaha P45. I was happier with it until I realized that it has issues with sending full velocity via MIDI! Searching on Google I found some forums where other people confirmed this! Sadly, I had to return it and get back the Casio! So, I would say: if you need the P45 just for having a very good cheap digital piano, go for it! If you intend to use it as a MIDI controller, better test it first. Because you will not be able to have full velocity control over your external soft or hard synths. By the way, I have an old Yamaha P85 witch is just amazing! 5 pin MIDI too! Not in good shape but I would buy another, if I could find one i good condition without hesitation. Works great both as a digital piano and MIDI controller. So, this MIDI velocity issue is rare. Unfortunately, P45 is one of the models that gets affected. Unless Yamaha fixed it in the meantime.
Hey bud I'm 43 and always wanted to learn piano I love the sound! Which 88 key keyboard or digital piano would you recommend? Also is to late in age to get really well at playing? Thanks buddy have a good one!!✌
