This is what I like to see someone is shooting slingshot with no editing. Shooting many shots as you can. Other guys on UA-cam they only show you one shot one and you don’t know many shots they miss. I love it ❤
I'm pretty new to catapult shooting. But as a beginner I've found the best way for me to get my eye in and work on my form is to use a suspended sheet as a back stop. Then I have an old curtain rail in front of that. On that I use sheets of wall paper cut from an old roll as my wife has hundreds! I cut them around 900mm deep by whatever width they are, probably somewhere similar. You can draw 4 targets on there and use different catapults or ammo and fine tune your shooting. Works great for seeing your grouping. Just something I've found that helps as a beginner to other beginners. Thanks for the video Wayne
really excellent tutorial. Been learning the catapult lately from scratch and got to say it is much more difficult to get to grips with compared to say rifles or shotguns, bows too. Bows are balanced whereas on the catty the pull draw weight is 100% on your wrist. I'm really impressed with the accuracy possible with the catapult and it's a new endeavour - thanks for showing how to do it!
Fair play Wayne mate. Nice to see an honest video with the everyday issues is catty shooters endure and no 100th take BS. Your vids have helped my shooting improve no end, they are awesome. Thanks man 👍🏼
I can't believe how big slingshot shooting is getting I really enjoy shooting target and hunting with my slingshots nice to see a new video nice one man
I practice nearly every day using 8mm on a 25mm target at just over 12 metres (40 ft) as I only have a small garden. For a spinner I use a plastic bottle cap suspended on a length of fishing line attached by a wire loop through the bottle top. The bright orange top shows up nice against my white back stop and it also has printed on it "Please recycle me" I couldn't think of a better use.😁👍
Great video Wayne 👍 I’m now 60 and looking forward to getting onto the sport. I’ve done loads of research, what frame, what band, tube or flat, what size of band, what amo, weight, material, what is my target bla bla bla… Jesus, it’s not was it was like in my day, you made a frame out of a nice bit of hazel, or if you could save up you’ll buy a Milbro and shot your thumb 😂 It was instinct shooting back then, now it’s a proper sport with methods, aim, anchor points, reference points, bands or tubes, understanding fall off etc. I love the sport and particularly the way you teach us beginners, keep up the good work son and you’ll probably hear from me, and I’ll be buying a set of your beginners bands to start with to go only the cheapish frame I’ve ordered 👍
Wow, you’ve certainly done your homework! Thank you, and it’s great to hear you’re picking up the catapult and getting involved again, times have most certainly changed from where we were thirty, or more years ago in your case. Best of luck with your journey, and I hope you have some fun with it! 👍
@@CattyShackHunter thanks Wayne, very encouraging to hear back from you with your comments 👍 And thanks again for your great vides and sharing your knowledge, you are a true sportsman, so many are too secretive and don’t get involved with their supporters, unlike you! I’ll be watching and learning for sure 👍

Good video. Just a question. Is this possible to purchase this new (metal) EVO within next 2 - 3 weeks? I have the old version already and is fantastic, but I think the new system of putting the rubber on is much more convenient and saves a lot of hassle.
très bonne vídeo didactique , une de mes astuce j arrête toujours l entrainement sur une série de 2 ou 3 tirs réussis @cattyshack des news sur le stock de EVO
Haha! There’s no way I queueing outside the barbers, I can wait a bit longer. The draw weight on this set-up is 17lbs, speeds around 245fps. The band is my own Catty Shack ‘Great White’ 👍
Try and shoot instinctively. Instead of holding the catty on full draw and concentrating on your reference point being millimetre precise before you release the pouch, .....try getting your shot off quicker. Raise the catty, glance down the bands, and let it go. Instinctive shooting is releasing the pouch a split second before your hand and the frame lock onto the target. Start glancing down the bands as the catty is still rising up towards the target, then while it's still rising up, let the pouch go. Keep practicing and eventually it will become instinctive.
Not particularly, no. Watching it back, my elbow position didn’t look too much different, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it wasn’t different enough to cause a small change in trajectory. It was either my elbow, or my release.
Hi Wayne , love to see another video out..💪 would you recommend practicing with hunting set up " heavy bands" only ... At the moment I have no interest in shooting just targets soley the only reason I do it is to better my hunting shot placement obviously ... Do you ever practice with lighter bands sets like .60 so you can shoot longer periods of time? Or do you only practice with heavy set ups ? Must admit I've suffered tennis elbow in the past from excessive shooting with heavy bands..
Thank you. No, I only ever shoot the set up I hunt with. As a beginner I’d always recommend to start light and learn on targets. Once you’re proficient and understand accuracy, if you want to solely hunt, I would only shoot the set up you intend to hunt with. The only way to get better at shooting a heavier set up, is to shoot a heavier set up. Get stronger. I personally practice while I’m out walking / hunting, so I’m never standing in one spot firing shot after shot for hours on end, you’ll just fatigue and learn nothing. Hunting shots aren’t all at 10m head height. Pick targets high and low, and at varying ranges. The fact you won’t be constantly firing shot after shot, means you’ll be able to fire more shots in the long run, and learn / hone your skills the whole time while you’re out. Hope this helps 👍
Cheers WAYNE, i can pester you on here instead of Instagram, i completely understand what you saying, and thanks for inspirational TIPS n TRICKS, BODDERZ!!!!!

No problem! Completely agree with you, shooting paper is a very good way to practice, because you become visually accountable for every single shot 👍
I always been impressed with your shooting skills and take your information very seriously because i know you know what your talking about buddy.
Thank you very much John 👍🏻
Good to see you shooting, I've been watching archery videos for advice so your catapult specific instruction is always particularly useful.

Hitting stuff with 11mm steel is so much more satisfying than with the 8mm that all the competetive shooters shoot

Glad you like the products, thank you. We don’t share details with anybody, so it won’t be because of us.

Once you can shoot it’s all easy as you probably see his misses are just a hair of the target
