The first time I made this, I followed the recipe as Jamie instructed. Thereafter, I used my own favorite pasta, changed up the vegetables, and used Alaskan (unsmoked) salmon. Just as good, because I do like the flavoring of lemon and the consistency of Creme Fraiche. Simple, quick, healthy, and delicious.
I made this last night for our dinner and it was fabulous, I used uncooked salmon and cooked it more before taking the skin off, if you do use uncooked salmon don't over cook it as it will carry on cooking when you break it up, I also put an extra spoonful of crème fresh on the finished plates and then sprinkled the crispy skin and black pepper on top of that. This is a stunning recipe Jamie. I will make this again without doubt.

I cooked with cold smoked salmon a while ago, a pasta sauce, and it turned out fantastic!! The flavors from a smoked salmon is UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! And it's so easy to cook with smoked salmon. My grandson loves pasta, so I'm always looking for something nutritious to throw in the pasta. I tried this for my husband, and he absolutely loved it. Very lemony. Next time I'm going to add even more asparagus and chop it a little bigger..Probably more salmon too.

I might use the breadcrumb topping idea, with chopped salmon skin. Lil garlic, parsley, pepperoncino to top at the end!! You can do cream n seafood, not traditional though!!! Brandy cream sauce, not gonna complaine. Its white wines or a Barbera type, the Dolcetto wines from Piemonte!!
The background music kept making me think of The Witcher 3 soundtrack, which makes this the most epic pasta dish ever. Can't wait to replay, err, make this!
For our german fellows, who are already running to the deli shop or firing up their smoking ovens: The german word for the primary ingredient ist "Stremellachs", which is easily available in our local supermarkets. 💡
I've just made and eaten this I couldn't find the smoked salmon with skin but it was still good. I didnt add any salt because the salmon was salty enough. Also added chilli flakes cuz I'm Asian and I need spice in everything to feel satisfied lol

I’ve just tried this and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! Not used crème fraîche in a dish before but it’s incredible with the fish👌
i tried it to but i didnt like it so much :( dunno why. maybe i dont like smoked salmon to much.
