Recipe:
CAKE
330 ml black coffee
100 g cocoa powder (natural or dutch process is fine)
110 ml whiskey
226 g butter (2 sticks) (plus more for greasing)
290 g granulated sugar
2 eggs
280 g all-purpose flour (or 140g whole wheat flour + 140 g all purpose flour)
½ tsp salt
1½ tsp baking soda
Whiskey Syrup
150 ml whiskey
75 ml water
75 g granulated sugar
Chocolate Ganache Glaze
160 g semisweet chocolate chips
80 ml hot milk (approx. 140ºF)
Bake 45-50 mins at 325ºF

Can I use brown sugar instead of granulated sugar? Would there be any difference?
I’ve never tried this recipe with brown sugar, so I can’t say for sure. I think the molasses content in the brown sugar would make the cake more dense, but moister and softer. Good luck !
Can we replace Egg with any other natural egg replacer.

?
I just mixed about two tablespoons of instant coffee with enough hot water to make 330 ml 😅 or you could make your own coffee from fresh beans or buy some from a shop as well ☕️
