    Although proved redundant, thanks for the video. I was hoping to know if the shoutyneas decreased with the pro.....this cleared it.

    Very surprised that they released two new versions within weeks of each other (S12 Pro and Z12) that are hardly any different. Z12 added 2dB of sub bass but took an already bright iem and added even more treble...smh. Missed out on the basshead community by not adding 5dB of bass and smoothing out the treble a bit lowering to near harmon levels. Too bad.
    Even though I wish 7Hz and Raptgo added even more bass (3-4dB) to the Timeless AE and HBB Hook X, they will sell more of their newer versions, including some of their OG customers who will get something new. as other improvements were implemented as well. I doubt too many S12 owners will get an almost identical version, when they could get something different to complement their collection.

      I have the z12 and the increase in treble is mild at most. I don’t like anything overly bright at all and these are not a problem or fatiguing at all. They sound balanced to me, the bass is not overbearing or distracting to me, they just sound balanced yet lively.

      @@ToastyTexan911 Very glad they sound good to you. To me, the S12 is already too bright so even a small increase in treble is confusing. They dropped the ball to catch a new market.

    I didn’t like the OG S12 at all, Got the S12 pro set in on a whim. I ended up getting rid of the OG and kept the S12 pro. A noticeable reduction in the pinna gain region was apparent. It was enough to move the Letshuoer from last in my planar collection to first. Beats the timeless, p1 max, hook X, etc.

    Hi. Really great work on the videos... If I had to choose between S12 pro and the FD3 pro, which one would you recommend? also Is FD5 pro better than these two within 15-17k inr budget?

    Great analysis of the IEM'S without taking a lot of time. I have the original. Next time I won't jump on a hype train because something is new.

    I have Fiio KA3 and i herd that s12 dosent pair well with ka3 and i still have decided to go with s12
    Can you share your thoughts

    • @eargasmic3060
      @eargasmic3060  2 роки тому

      KA3 in it's own is a slightly dry, less musical, precise and accurate sounding dongle that has a bit of treble emphasis.
      S12 is V shaped and has a bit of issues with sibilance. This pairing isn't exactly great but if you can tolerate the sibilance this pairing can be rewarding by delivering superb precision and accuracy.

    My Pro unit has more subbass and I have to reduce it at least 1dB with EQ. Also has less uppermid and treble, I think.

      Totally different sound. S12 has sharp highs and oh10 pro is dark.
      Both are good with bass presence. Pick which you prefer.

    Compare it to Zetian Wu😁✌️

    • @RTR-96
      @RTR-96 Рік тому +1

      I did. The Wu is less sibilant, but the S12 has a wider soundstage. Other than that, they're very similar.

      @@Rat0713 I'm a big soundstage guy, and the sibilance on the S12 is tolerable, so I kept the S12 and returned the Wu.

    Sir, im in this hobby for a while and wanna seattle down for maybe 1 or 2 years til i get a job ( im still in university by the way).
    1. Olina SE sound promising and does it worth spending extra 40$ on planar( S12, Zetian Wu) interm of resulution, detail and stage or just get not my type of tuning planar( dioko/stellaris) cause they resolution just outplay DD
    2. Are mine Hiby FC4 (340mW) powerful enough to be able to unlock the full planar protential
    Love to hear all your thought and opinion on this. Ohh your review is great by the way

    • @eargasmic3060
      @eargasmic3060  2 роки тому

      Of all the planars you have mentioned I have tried only the S12 and it is sibilant. Olina SE is not. If you want excellent details and resolution pick your planars wisely. S12 is very detailed while others like timeless and very warm and dark.
      At this price, if you want a well balanced IEM with a bit of bass body I will suggest you the THhifi FaceRed. It's the best IEM if you are unsure about your needs.
      And I believe 340mw is good enough to power a planar IEM but each planar is different. S12 needs bigger stuff to sound at it's best while Timeless is more compliant.
      If you want sonics, musicality and a fun sound get the NFaudio NA3. It's a very engaging and involving IEM.
      And thanks for your support. 😃
