Has anyone created a booking schedule yet? Comment below!
@TasiaCustode, you mentioned that additional Booking "Types" is only available with Google One Premium. What about Google Workspace accounts? Do we get this feature with that? (I don't think Google One is available for Workspace accounts?)
@@BradWieland yes! You could upgrade to either to get the ability to add more than one type of booking. With workspace they are called “appointment slots” and you can make multiple different ones, recurring or not.
@TasiaCustode is this available to personal Google accounts or only Google Workspace accounts? and thank you for the great video.
Hi tasia! its me ever :D
@@wilde4u hi Ever! 👋🏻
This...was...PERFECT! Thank you! The most comprehensible, easy-to-follow instructions I've come across in a VERY long time! Thank you tremendously!
Mmm OK I only have "appointment slots" I think this need to be enabled in settings first. Good idea to mention this first...
One tip. If you have an event on your calendar that overlaps the appointment time slots it will override the time slots ONLY if the event is marked busy. If the event is marked Free then the time slots will still show up. This is huge if you want something on your calendar that’s not so important but still want to have the time slots available for booking.
Thank you for this!
@@Grandpa_RLP OK…. Lemme see…..
Imagine you’re a fitness instructor and you use Google Calendar to manage your personal training sessions. You’ve set up recurring appointment slots on weekdays from 9 AM to 11 AM for clients to book their training sessions with you.
One day, you plan to attend a casual, non-mandatory coffee meet-up with other local fitness instructors. This meet-up is from 10 AM to 11 AM on a Wednesday. While you want to keep this in your calendar, you don’t want it to block out your availability for training clients, since the coffee meet-up is informal and you can skip it if needed.
So, you add the coffee meet-up to your calendar from 10 AM to 11 AM, but mark it as “Free” instead of “Busy.” This way, your 9 AM to 11 AM training slots on Wednesday remain open for clients to book. If a client books a session during that time, you’ll prioritize the training session over the meet-up. If no one books, you have the option to attend the meet-up without affecting your schedule’s availability for clients.
Your video is exactly what I was looking for, your crystal clear explanation is very helpful. Thank you :)
I don't usually comment on videos, but I just wanted to say thank you! You were so succinct but detailed and saved me a ton of time testing the tool own my own. Thanks a bunch, great content!
Thanks for being quick and easy to the point in the beginning! It adds value to your video.

Thank YOU! It is really helpful!
This is such a fantastic and helpful video!! Thank you so much for making it! Could you also make a video about google workspace paid version and how to set up multiple types different kinds of appointments and setting up paid appointment slots. Thank you so much!! Oh any what type of plan in google workspace where those options are actually available.
Incredibly informative! Nice job! And to think this is free!
Thank you for the useful info. Used it to create my booking page. And it works!
Thank you! This was so helpful!
excellent video!! very well explained. Looking forward to getting started with Google Calendar!! Thank you very much for making it very simple and clear.
Yes this is great, I will be using this from now on! THANK YOU :)
LOVE this! Thank you so much. This was super helpful! I'm totally going to use this, especially because I pay for Google Workspace already.
Fantastic! Great video and tips, congratulations and thank you!!!
Hi Tasia,
Thank you so much for this helpful tutorial. I am launching my website at 12:00am 01-01-24 and was looking for something to start with. This helped me so much!

Google Calendar is my lifeblood. Thank you Tasia.
It just keeps getting better too! You’re most welcome, Milton!
Love her enthusiasm!
Your content is awesome! Congrats!
So glad to see this - thank you!
Thank you, this explains it well.
thank you Tasia! Do you know if there is an option that we have to confirm (accept) when people take an appointment online?
Great presentation. Appreciate you.
Great video, thanks!
This was excellent. Thank you
Great detailed video
I'll definitely use it
Thanks Tasia. Happy Thursday! I may try this out.
You're welcome, Ron! Have fun creating your booking schedule!
I am learning much more with you. Keep Up the good work!!!!
So glad to hear it!
Excellent video. Thanks

Nicely explained!

Thanks for watching!
It awesome video, sure i will use it. doing it soon. thank u
Thank you!
Thank you
awesome! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
Thanks for the great video! Is google calendar able to be made to have 60 or 90min time slots as options?
Thanks Tasia love you from India ❤
Hi! Thanks for watching!
Hi Tasia...I loved this... you made it so easy to follow along :) However for some reason all my available times are not coming up in the appointment bookings page but everything is working correctly in my calendar. All my all day events are tagged as free.
Nice feature. Maybe I'll test it out.
Thank you so much for so much information. I'm having problems letting the bookable feature reckognise an external calendar which I integrated into the google one. So, the g calendar would show the events frrom the external c. but it wouldn't block the availability of those events. Is it because I have the free version of the G calendar? thanks
This was great my friend! I'm loving this feature as a Google Workspace user.
However, do you know if can you create an appointment slot for other users on your account?
I've noticed as a user on others GW I can create one but it's not the same as a GW space owner.
I haven't found much FAQs about this so if you know I appreciate the support!
thanks
Very nice feature!
Is there a way to use zoom instead of google meet for this feature? thank you!
Great video!!! I am presently working on a website for our beehive tours. I have managed to follow along with setting up the google calendar. The part I am having a problem with is when I add a booking button to the website and paste the calendar link, it keeps saying I have the wrong URL number. Are you able to advise me on perhaps what I am doing wrong.
Do you know if there is a way to create separate booking pages for individual calendars that are associated with my main google calendar account?
This is fantastic and very useful.👌👌👍👍💐💐 Is there any method to capture the same on a google sheet as well? Appreciate your expertism.
Hi there, this is super helpful. Problem I run into is where to make my link to my booking page avail. Is there a way to add it to your Calender without having to individually send it to people?
Greetings. It was a very informative video. May I ask you a question please? Of course, I would not like share my whole calendar to that unknown person who only needs to book an appointment. What settings I can do, while sharing the calendar, so that he can only see the slots for which he can book an appointment? Regards
Is there a way to add appointments that need to be purchased? Or adding a payment option?
Thank you, Tasia, this is so cool! One question, though: is it available on Android? I don't see that option on my phone yet.
Currently, you have to create your booking schedule on desktop.
Is there a way for a client to schedule more than one appointment at a time without having to fill out the information the booking requires each time? For instance, if I have my appointment duration default to 30 minutes and my client needs 2 hours, how do you manage that?
You're better than the school district techy - can you do an update on how, if it's possible to arrange for multiple booking in a time slot? I have Book Fair coming up, I'm a Media Specialist and I'd like to have 2 classes come in per period. ThankS
Would this be different for google business accounts?
Hi Tasia, I have everything set up correctly but, for some reason, when people book dates, I am not getting an email back to me alerting me to the new booking...but the person making the booking IS getting that email...any ideas on what I am missing?
Its awesome, I just wish they'd let the person booking choose between Google Meet, Phone, In-Person, and others like Zoom, Facetime, Teams, Hangouts etc.
You can add zoom!
Hello! Great video thank you. I upgraded my account to add multiple calendars but it keeps referencing my default calendar. I spoke with google support but they didn't even know about this new features 😂 I don't suppose you know why this would be?
can this booking schedule be used in wix?
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. Do I need to have a different type of google calendar account to access this feature? I don't see it when I follow the steps.
Thanks
No problem!
Hi. When scheduling appointment does the other person (the one who is scheduling) has to be logged in to google account?
I use an iPad the option for “appointment scheduling” doesn’t appear. I also have the basic business plan. Does anyone have an idea why I’m not getting the “scheduling” options?
Following the directions EXACTLY. What would be the reason when I go to look at the calendar at the end, it says no times are available? I'm using one day only for scheduling, 4 hour block of time at 5 minute increments. Everything is fine until I complete it and go to look at it. Any suggestions?
Great videos as always.....I love Google Calendar and use it to record my daily income (I am a cab driver) but is there anyway that income data can be exported to Google Sheets automatically, to save me from having to manually typing it into Google Sheets ??? thanks so much.
Okay I'm having a hard time figuring this out. My personal account I can do everything in video but on my business account where i want to use this all i have is appointment slots and in the settings I don't have the check box to change it like Ohers suggested in comments. What do I do or why is this a problem?
I had the same issue. I did a chat with Google and this was their response;
"I have checked your subscription, but sadly Amanda the appointment schedule feature is not available for Business Starter plan. It is only available with a Business Standard Plan.
A UA-cam video I watched said it was included with a free plan. It is included with a free plan, but not a paid plan? That doesn't seem to make sense.
Sadly Amanda the free Gmail account you have seen has to be clubbed with Google One premium add on, only in that scenario appointment schedule will be added, and it will not be a free plan anymore."
So unfortunately, this doesn't look like a free feature at all. I'm confused by the video saying that it is a free feature and all the commentors that were able to do this.
Of course I don’t see these options when I open my google calendar. Is that because I am using an iPad Pro?
I only see "view appointment slots" and in the settings I don't see an option for appointment schedule despite having Google Workspace.
Any ideas as to why that is?
I was looking at Calendly but this seems to be the same thing. Is this shareable between two accounts or so that the wife can add family things onto the calendar?? If so are the family things invisible to others? Can you make those invisible?
Does anyone know if it works with Zapier? I use Zapier to connect my scheduling system and my CRM (Pipedrive)
I'm trying to create a golf tee time booking calendar. They are every 15 minutes starting at 7 am until 2 pm or later depending on the day. Some days have different times that need to be blocked out. It's a seniors community and they have no money so I'm trying to help them with a cost-free way to let people book online.
Im struggling to remove the slide bar on the right side of my google calendar that i embedded in my wordpress site- i want the booking page to be on the whole page so that there isnt a scroll for the booking page itself
So i can only set up one schedule is what tour saying to avoid having to pay??
i do not find the "learn more" - is that because I have paid google workspace?
how can you manually confirm appointments instead of automatic
I love your video but please! Could you talk about the payment!!!!! please!!!
For some reason I can only see appointment slots
Tasia, you've made me an A class employee, see me using your tutorial to teach my boss how to do this. I have also added the link to my Linkedin
Hello, how can I remove the overbearing appointment slots that I didn't setup. It's overwhelming my calendar...
Could I use this to run a course where there would be multiple participants booking the same appointment? I wonder if Goole has a system to accept payments for appointments... that would be cool.
Yes, it can be found on the second page of the setup process under the Payments & Cancellation policy. (The page where you save everything) However, this is a premium service so you will have to upgrade to get this service.
Tasia, my form does not include the "Appointment Schedule" choice. What am I doing wrong?
At the very bottom of the Settings page (click the gear in the upper right), you'll see "Appointment schedules". Tick the box to "Create appointment schedules instead of appointment slots.
Is there an option to block timeslots without adding an event? e.g. i dont feel like having appointments tomorrow morning so can i block certain hours or do i have to add an event so it shows as unavailable
You can select the Change a date's availability and from there you can make various changes. I can't add an image here unfortunately, but I have on a single day, for example that I am available 10-12 and then 13-16, and then again 18-22. I can block out a specific date by entering it here and marking it as unavailable.
what if i want to allow multiple bookings on the same time slot? ex. 4 bookings on the 9am time slot. can this be done?
I'd love to know this as well!
The "appointments schedule " options is not available at all not even in settings , what can i do ?😢
I had the same issue. I just did a chat with Google and found out why. This is still in the testing phase and was not released to everyone. What you have to do is go to your Google Workspace Admin Dashboard --- Apps --- Additional Google Services --- turn ON "Early Access Apps". THEN go to Account --- Account Settings --- Preferences --- New Features --- switch to "Rapid Release". Can take up to 24 hours to refresh and add it on. I just did this, so I haven't waited the full 24 hours yet... hoping it works!
@@amandaaleece87 thank you so much for sharing this tip. You are awesome!
They caught up with the competition
To be fair, you could do this with a paid workspace account for years now. Nice to see it for free though!
We are a Photography Studio and we require an upfront payment to book our time. I saw a note from Google that said you can now accept Payment for a booking. Do you have any informaiton on how that works? I can't find anything other than a blog post?? Any help is appreciated.
Yes, I believe businesses can accept payments through certain providers. I know Stripe does this for sure and think Square has integration as well! Maybe start there by seeing how to connect a Stripe account to your Google Workspace account. This does seem like a tutorial needs to be made on this issue!
My issue is that ALL of the empty schedule appointment bookings show up on my calendar and create soooooo much visual clutter. I sent in feedback, but cannot figure out how to only have the booked appointments show on the calendar. Suggestions?
I have the same problem. I has made my calendar unreadable at this point
Awesome video. I turned this feature on thinking it would be useful for my needs but currently, my CRM is a better option.
Any idea how I should turn this off? Thanks! 🤣
Just don't set up appointments/booking slots.
LOL I already turned it on and now I don't know how to turn it off.
@@sandhill29078
@@fitzmagicyou can't turn it off as in you have appointments set up & don't know how to delete them?
I love my Google calendar but it keeps changing my events times!!! I keep changing it back and it asks me if I want to notify people, I say no but it still does and it's creating a lot of confusion! So I've taken people's emails off but I'm still having the issue of looking at things at the wrong times! Any ideas? TIA
Same here!
@juheimirivera8937 I figured it was a problem with the time zone!!! Since no more issues!
@thirdeyeyari3919 I change it over and over and problem came back! But glad it worked for you!
ok I can cancel my calendly subscription now. Thanks for sharing!!!
I was really looking forward to this but it is not free. I pay for a Business Starter Plan with Google Workspace and it was still only showing "appointment slots" not appointment schedule", so I did a Google Help Chat and this was our chat:
"I have checked your subscription, but sadly Amanda the appointment schedule feature is not available for Business Starter plan. It is only available with a Business Standard Plan.
(Business Starter Plan $7/month, Business Standard $12/month)
A UA-cam video I watched said it was included with a free plan. It is included with a free plan, but not a paid plan? That doesn't seem to make sense
Sadly Amanda the free Gmail account you have seen has to be clubbed with Google One premium add on, only in that scenario appointment schedule will be added, and it will not be a free plan anymore."
So unfortunately, this doesn't look like a free feature at all. I'm confused by this video saying that it is a free feature and all the commentors that were able to do this. 🙁
One thing that was not mentioned in this video is, how can we as administrators, approve the booking process, before it becomes an official event in Google Calendar? In the event that we get hundreds of robots, or bad people filling out the booking reservation form for a particular date, but then get that one true customer who wants that same date. Maybe we want to call and confirm before it becomes an official Google Calendar booking online. How can we set this up with this system so that we "approve" the booking?
You can use the message area to let them know that the booking is pending approval then after you review either confirm or cancel. I think what you are really looking for is a feature that allows someone to request an appointment instead of book it but also leaves your calendar open for others to make requests for the same time slot. Then you can choose which requests to accept and deny. The way its set up now that would cause double bookings.
Same question here. This is a cool calendar feature for a small business. But I feel it would get ruined by bots or troublemakers. I need it to be more foolproof.
