Love it. I been hitting logs on a dirt bike for a long time but couldnt figure out what i was missing on the mtb. Apparently speed is the answer and still punching the log with the front tire. Works on dirt bike with throttle but never thought about that on the mtb.
Had a tree come down on my property during this last hurricane, I cut the branches off and practiced this. I got the hang of it. I wish I could post a video in the comments… thanks for the tips!!! I’ll be that much faster now!!
Good info have been doing this for years i aim for about 2/3 of the height of the obsticle and start the manual about the same distance from it moto trials riders do the same , any tips for hoping forward and up obsticles from a standstill ie uphill
2/3 sounds about the same as me I think. From a standstill / uphill it is a bit harder to make this technique work. When going up hill you tend to have to do the slightly different technique of rolling your front on top of the obstacle and then unweighting the rear. You just need to be as explosive and as powerful as possible to keep the momentum up! :-)
I would really love to know what size frame Duncan is riding? And if you know his height that would be great. Allot of people say to size down to have a more playful bike but I’m wondering if it’s really all that important. I’m interested in reach numbers compared to his size
I have one unusual question. Will the new head badges with this extremely cure bear be selling in the near future? I have marin bike (bolinas ridge), but this badge looks so much better than your previous.
While we don't currently have plans of selling the new head badge, we can bring it to the attention of the product department for future consideration.
@@silasridesbikes8222 While our bikes are very reliable, it's not a bad idea. Maybe consider buying more Marin bikes in various sizes so that your friends can join you on the trail or on the road.
I like to play around with my bike out on the trails, so these videos are great inspiration. More of this!
Glad to hear they are helping

This bike is a large and I am 180cm. I am in between a large and a medium when choosing. Large is faster but medium is just a little more playful!
