    Thank you so much for this! I’ve been looking everywhere on how to increase the space between the granny squares! Do you have a tutorial on joining the squares using DC stitches? I did two rows of the second option and would love to keep that look when joining.

    How would you make the sunflower itself bigger, instead of just adding more rounds on the outside?

    • @KristinesDay
      @KristinesDay  Рік тому +2

      Try adding an extra 3rd round. Or instead of unfinished double crochet, do unfinished treble crochet :)

      @@KristinesDay Hi! Sorry very new to this but when you say add an unfinished treble crochet is that on the brown, mustard, yellow or green portion of the granny square?
      I would like to make my granny square 14x14 cm and was thinking the prettiest way of doing so was by making the inner circle or brown portion of the sunflower bigger. How would you recommend I best do that? Would making the inner circle affect the number of crochets for the mustard, yellow and green portion?
      Thank you so much for your insightful video!

      @@adrianmanuel6875hey! I the previous comment I meant it for the yellow part. :)
      However, to respond to your question: you could try to create 2 rounds of brown. First round would have to be as is and second would probably require one chain after each DC. This would also require some adjustments during next round - instead of making stitches on top of the previous round, you would likely have to make them in the gaps between stitches where you would have done one chain.
      Please note that I haven’t tested this myself, but it is worth trying. 😊

      It’s up to you - you can either do one on top of each or 3 after every 3 (or even 2 after every 2) if total count allows.

    Hello Kristine. I absolutely love the sunflower cardigan you have made and I want to make one for myself. I am new to crochet and don’t have much idea. I had a question. Is this weight 4 yarn that you used to make your cardigan?

    • @KristinesDay
      @KristinesDay  Рік тому

      Thank you! That's great to hear! 😍
      I used 8/8 cotton yarn which requires 5 mm crochet hook. For more details, here is a website where I purchased it: yarnliving.com/bomuld-164/yarn-and-colors-epic-8-8-p1481

      I had the same question, so I had to do some research. 8/8 is about the same as a weight 3. You can still do the square with a weight 4. You just need to use the recommended hook size, 5.5 or size I. It will also be slightly bigger with the larger yarn.

    Thank you so much for your videos they have helped me so much! How big are the original granny squares and the ones that you made bigger?

      Original one is around 12x12 cm. Each additional row adds approx 1 cm. :)

      @@KristinesDayOh I have a question regarding this: my regular square is 10x10cm with my yarn and Hook so if I want to follow the tutorial that you created for the cardigan I should one row to make it closer to 12x12 ?
      Thank you so much again for your videos, they're so helpful for beginners !

      @KristinesDay  Рік тому +1

      @@AngyTayu thank you 🥰
      Yes, exactly, just add an extra row to create 12x12 cm square. In that way you will be able to create cardigan in size S 🤗
