I should have been at RIAT airshow this week but once it got canceled I headed for Duxford, the light at this airshow is never much good but it was pretty bad today!!
This years Airshows is all about chasing the RAF Typhoon display team and I hope to get some good light and fluff on her in the end!!

There are so many maneuvers a fighter jet can make but I never get tired watching them! Great video!

Epic Elwyn, if it was me, my arm would probably feel like it's gonna drop off, if I was tracking it during that display.
God, I miss living a quarter of a mile from an airshow and watching the planes overhead. Thanks for sharing.
Only once at the Air Power in Austria they permitted camping at the air base fence, so every morning at 08 we were greeted by scrambling eurofighters 😜
@@dieterk9568 Oh wow that would have been INCREDIBLE. LOL I love me an alarm clock in the form of a Eurofighter practising their routine over the top of my house at early o'clock, shaking my windows, and scaring my poor cats under the bed. Though I did have to take all of the glassware out of the cabinet as they were all "walking" towards the edge of the shelf. 🤦♀️

Wow what a plane ! That a400m can hold bare cargo and it looks quite small … mad and I heard it has tv screens in the seats - 32 inch ones 🤩

I Thought that they were stopping all Airshows or had stopped them. I got the notification and was pleasantly surprised. Next year I will attempt to go. Thankyou. Elwyn.
Because of the social distancing nonsense, in the airshows that are on this year, only solo flights are allowed. No formation aerobatics, unless they can fly further apart from each other. The Red Arrows would have to make major changes to their routine, and spend hours training for them, if they were to fly further apart from each other in order to satisfy the social distancing nonsense.

The 111 squadron aircraft were all black, not in a union flag scheme.

This display was obviously limited by the low cloud ceiling so it could hardly be called 'spectacular'!

6:52 - 6:56 you almost never see this maneuver, with the canopy positioned toward the outside arc of the turn. And I’ve often wondered why.
Negative G -- it must be extremely unpleasant (not to mention dangerous) for extended periods. The blood in the body is forced towards the head. It will give you bloodshot eyes, and I would guess it increases risk of stroke or brain haemorrhage. I only experienced it for brief moments when I was a gliding instructor. One pupil decided to push the stick forward suddenly, and despite being strapped in tight I rose out of my seat, my feet rose off the pedals, and my arms and hands rose in front of me. I was desperately trying to get my hands down to the stick against the G forces when the pupil pulled of his own accord. Just as well.
