You're speaking all facts. Like on that Revival album Em got a song called (Believe) and on one of the verses he says " But how do you keep up the pace and the hunger when you've already won the race" that was a very powerful and profound line right there. He was basically saying he's already accomplished all he need to accomplish in rap so how do he keep up the pace with it or keep topping it

My thing is just don't be so lyrical to the point that you're taking away from the main message. If I can't listen to your song one time and take something away from it i.e I received most of what you were trying to tell me, then your song was too out of whack. As a rapper, i can say it's actually easier to make a super lyrical song that is very hard to dissect and understand, than it is to make an equally lyrical song that the average listener could understand. The increase in skill level required comes from having to be direct with your lyrics, and only being allowed to use common concepts and terms rather than obscure shit to fill up your rhymes. Keeping it that simple while still saying mind-blowing shit lyrically is the peak of what rap is all about in my opinion, but everyone can view rap their own way.

This is how i see it , the so called "lyrical mirical " rappers and the street poets do the same thing but with a different form of speech and within a different context..THEY BOTH GOT BARS Example : King los , Mickey , Daylyt use historical facts , antics with few words that we don't use everyday when we communicate in the hood , add it up with conscious and spiritual stories. That's why they call it "lyrical, mirical ", not everyone will listen to them and understand what they're talking about automatically , but their raps is still full of figurative language , bars , schemes, multi-syllables rhymes , wordplay and punchlines etc.. Lloyd Banks, Jada ,Cassidy, Ransom use street stories, on the block , kidnapping people, with the lingo that we use in the hood everyday that's why niggas it's catchy for us and their raps is also full of multi-syllables rhymes, bars , wordplay, punchlines, figurative language, multi-entendres. So both camps do the same thing , they just do it with a different form of speech and with in a different context (stories). Geeks rappers vs Street poet..

Facts! The best rappers of all time are the ones that master the appeal of lyrical miracle rap and mumble rap. They got the skill of a miracle rapper, but the musical and cultural understanding of a "mumble" rapper i.e they know what people actually wanna hear. Best artist for this characterization is lil Wayne
@@DCMFR yeah I'm actually using mumble rap generally, I'm actually just referring to artists that aren't really lyrical and more so rap to adhere to mainstream trends and appeal. In the lyrical miracle side of hip hop they lazily call this type of rap mumble rap so i was agreeing. I was thinking of artists like lil baby Lil tjay Lil Durk who imo acc make great music
It's art, it depends on what you take from it and how it resonates with you. I dig and appreciate lyrical miracle from a creative standpoint....Supreme Clientele is one of my favourite albums and that's pretty much Ghostface taking a bunch of words, throwing them at the paper and then going in recording them where they fell. Still, it's artistic, creative and displays penmanship on another level, because it's more than just what's written, it's how it's presented by the artist/ MC.

Basically these dudes lean into the street realm without saying it . It's crazy how a person has to be in a certain box for them to believe that a certain artist is nice.
Back in the day it was yo MTV Raps, The Lyricist lounge show,, and Arsenio Hall show where rappers could jump on the mic and spit. There needs to be a platform where rappers can just show off talent in front of their peers.
This is exactly why i think rakim is the goat he was rapping his ass off but still be saying shit in most of his joints which very few rappers can do that
Everybody keep saying DaBaby is a dope rapper but I don’t hear no lyrical shit in his lyrics. Can someone please explain this me? Am I missing something?
I think the bar has been lowered so in the age of mumble rappers DaBaby is one of the few that can actually put lyrics together and flow on a beat in a coherent and cohesive way. Now whether he make the same song over and over again is a different topic but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it I guessss… 😂
Here’s the difference. If I can do what you do, then you prob ain’t that great. That’s why lyrical Miracle means something. It’s an art form. The shit that pops now appeals to the laziness that is literally everywhere in society right now. We just can’t be bothered to break anything down. And we are happy to hear a good beat and a vibe. It’s a rejection of thoughtfulness period.
These lyrical miracles rappers really aren’t that talented. If all you bring to the table is the ability to rhyme big words and have nothing to offer as far as beat selection, the ability to ride a beat, or even say something interesting, you’re not dope. Period.
@@mistahmst as opposed to what? A future song where it’s drugs drugs drugs, bitches, depression. And wtf you talking about a hot beat for? 99 percent of the beats on the radio is cut and paste 808’s. This generation just can’t really delve into everything. This isn’t like a thing relegated to rap. We stopped reading, we stopped celebrating analysis, we stopped even evaluating…it’s just lazy ass reactions that are nothing more than feelings.
@@michaeln3044 why does that have to be the only alternative? Why can’t these rappers just make better music so we don’t have to listen to “rap about bitches and drugs”. At the end of the day, when I listen to music, I want it to sound good and if all the legendary rappers of the past were able to be lyrical without sacrificing dope beats and flows, why should I settle for a guy with no musical ear who’s also spitting nonsense but with more syllables and worst beats?
@@michaeln3044 as far as lyricists, there aren’t really any out right now who are making dope music if we’re being honest. Like as far as being on the same level as a Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Scarface, Jadakiss, or even Ludacris none of these dudes trying to “keep hip-hop alive” come that close in quality. These lyrical miracle rappers, especially the ones who came up in the Smack DVD era, are garbage because not only do they pick the worst beats and can’t ride a beat to save their lives, their bars aren’t even that hot. If I had to choose between that and a catchy song that happens to be mumble rap, I’m taking the mumble rap because if I’m gonna listen to someone spit nonsense either way, I at least want it to sound good. The reason why rappers like Nas, Jay, Biggie, Jada, etc are considered all-time greats is because not only did they spit the best bars, they made timeless music. Making a great song is a skill in itself, which is why someone like Snoop Dogg, who isn’t known as a “lyricist”, will always be above someone like Loaded Lux.

Hiphop is bigger than one artist or style or coast for that matter.
Im not big on the lyrical miracle…. But im big on story telling rappers. I dig rappers who can articulate their stories into bars to where we can understand it. Rj payne, eminem, jay z, 2pac/big, benny,
There is no such thing as "lyrical miracle". Its as empty a criticism as "mumble rap". People who use highly complex lyrical ability aren't saying "random things" like how people like to say.
That King Los point is extremely valid. That’s why he’s never been able to take off. I remember back in the HotNewHipHop/Datpiff blog era they were pushing him hard. I heard him and thought he was nice, but when it came down to him making a song he just couldn’t. Lyrical miracle rap is probably my least favorite sub genre because most people who are active in that scene really can’t music to save their life.
What if you just wanna hear some amazing wordplay and punchlines? Sometimes I want to hear Los and sometimes I wanna hear Pac. Sometimes I wanna hear nothing but crack and I throw on Clipse. Sometimes I wanna hear Blu. It's hard to rank.
Is Canibus really a lyrical miracle guy. He's very witty with the punchlines. Lyrical miracle to me is when it sounds good, but on close listen it's not that witty or well thought about. There's more emphasis on rhyming words intricately. Also something can be both lyrical miracle and the content can really make sense.
I personally love lyrical miracle raps! It shows creativity. It's almost like the mc is making himself out to be a super hero. Which is why the early lyricists didn't go by their real name but a tag name. Because their tag name was their alter ego. If I want something that's only grounded in reality,I can look outside my window. I think rappers who don't like the lyrical miracle rappers don't like it because they can't compete. I guess rakim, the father of modern day rap is a lyrical miracle rapper then. The hyperbole of rap was to show that you wasn't the average man on any level. And plus the so called reality rap is what got these kids going astray. We need more lyrical miracle rappers and not a bunch of fake thugs on the mic leading the culture astray with bullshit while they are getting shake down by the real thugs in their entourage

If it's too lyrical, it's trash...
If it's not lyrical enough, it's trash...
Apparently.
To each their own. I dont think either are trash. It's what you like and relate to.

This is how i see it , the so called "lyrical mirical " rappers and the street poets do the same thing but with a different form of speech and within a different context..THEY BOTH GOT BARS
Example :
King los , Mickey , Daylyt use historical facts , antics with few words that we don't use everyday when we communicate in the hood , add it up with conscious and spiritual stories.

Lyrical miracles and mumble rappers are in the same boat to me, just on far opposite ends of the hip hop spectrum. The Goats find that balance.
define lyrical miracles
This is similar to how I look at it but not exactly. Most lyrical miracle rappers are absolutely terrible at making music, same as mumble rappers.

At the end of the day, when I listen to music, I want it to sound good and if all the legendary rappers of the past were able to be lyrical without sacrificing dope beats and flows, why should I settle for a guy with no musical ear who’s also spitting nonsense but with more syllables and worst beats?
@@mistahmst I mean who are ur people?
@@michaeln3044 as far as lyricists, there aren’t really any out right now who are making dope music if we’re being honest. What is the difference between lyrical miracle rap and wordplay creativity? I think creative wordplay has its place in hip-hop
Los has plenty of good songs, just not "hit" songs.

There’s nothing “creative” about rhyming a bunch of words together and putting them in a song. At the end of the day, you’re just a rhyme dictionary.
If you're forcing rappers to do multi syllable rhymes then you're gonna get shitty bars like "I'm more crazy than a short lady who give birth to 84 babies"
@@凍結數據 it's not just about rhyming a bunch of words Sherlock. It has to make sense also. It shows creativity.
@@Iloveyou-dz7mq I don't want to force rappers to do multis. My post was saying that there is a place in hip-hop for that style. I just like mcs that put thought into their rhymes.
@@dolo6149 That’s what I just said!
Is Paul Cain Ransom’s grandfather? He’s like 79.
Lol. Cain is fabs brother..
I love both Sean Price and Fu Schnickens. Fu-Shnickens and Das EFX and nowhere near lyrical miracle, this genre of hip hop was started by eminem. every lyrical miracle rapper is eminem copy
Eminem was influenced by Das EFX and Fu-Shnickens. He named them in his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame speech.
Canibus in his prime was definitely one of those guys💯
Lyrical miracle is just for the love of words, Its the equivalent of abstract painting for the love of painting, compared to painting a landscape or a portrait.
Project Blowed is the epitome of Lyrical Miracle
I'm an animal with mechanical mandibles is one of the hardest lines ever
I hate when niggaz hate u had your time bra (Ransom) damn keep doing what you been doing
They didn’t diss em. But I will say, there’s a difference between people who just rhyme words and people who have incredible dialects.
9:04 he not lying...a bunch of cities all an hour away... wild af
It’s about your IMAGINATION. When Nas said “When I was 12 I went to hell for snuffing Jesus”, the whole game froze. Why?? Because of the strength of his CREATIVITY. It doesn’t have to be real. Plus, Canibus 💯percent wrote Free’s verse. Stop hating on that man for using a laptop. SMH
Canibus also wrote for A+.
Em says complex stuff though
So whose the best non lyrical miracle lyricist ?
Nas
Daylyt
@@DissTrackTed 🤣 daylyt is definitely considered lyrical miracle
@@chandambao4751 nas was that
@@GnosticChild naw that's cap. Daylyt can flex lyrically (lyrical miracle) but he also drops a lot of knowledge that has to be researched that's also pieced together well.
Imagine these people having careers but still talking about other careers 😂🤦🏽♂️
Ransom last 5 tapes are fire. Se7en is dope!
hes wrong just cause YOU don’t personally feel connected to that type of music doesnt mean anything its all subjective millions of other people do
I like lyrical miracle. Sometimes it’s fun just to marvel at someone’s mastery of
technique. But it’s best if you can drop some real shit in your music. Canibus can get a bit esoteric but shit he rapped about in 98 is relevant now.
To me a miracle lyrical rapper is one who can spit intricate complex verses all day long unlike rappers who sound like they took a few days to write a rap using simple rhyme schemes.
"I dont wanna hear Chemistry in rap" ... The WU definitely had these dudes lost talking bout Protons Electrons Always Cause Explosions bars..... 😂😂😂
