I think the problem with the drink was that she used the whole watermelon and just a little bit of matcha (even less than you used), so the quantities are very very off, it should be way more watermelon and less matcha.
What you were trying to do with the spoon to open the jar, do that but with a butter knife (the blade is thinner than the spoon and safe because it's not sharp). I do it all the time, it's never failed me
I make those truffles but with Oreos and white chocolate and they're the best! It helps if you put them in the freezer rather than the fridge before dipping them in chocolate so they're more solid and don't melt instantly!!
I routinely drank raspberry leaf tea from 32 weeks and I had such a pain free labour my pain tolerance is so low I was shocked not sure if it was related to the tea but I reckon so, 56 hours of labour and took 2 paracetamol the whole time 😂😂
Raspberry leaf tea is also super good in the week leading up to your period as it can really help to reduce cramping and give a lighter flow. So that mocktail might be a nice alternative to just drinking the tea straight up!
Hi Grace, You just need to use the spoon the other way. 😊 The idea is that you create a little gap under the lid so that air can escape. Works every time. X
you can freeze the spinach so it never goes off... and its better than buying frozen spinach (which comes in those back balls/ blocks and takes ages to defrost) Xxxx :)
I always use the back 9f a d8nner knife to whack around the edge of the lid. It basically breaks the seal. My mum always said it worked because it's metal hitting metal, so like for like, but now I'm all grown up 😂 I think it works because it slightly dents the lid and breaks the seal
3% of daily requirements as far as potassium and magnesium. Great for replenishing electrolytes. My husband can attest to fewer leg cramps! I can attest to it's yumminess!
I'm so happy for you. ❤ I started watching your channel when you were in school to become a baker love from across the pond in Ohio also in America we sell a alcoholic drink called a pickle back it's a shot it's a shot of liquor chased down with a shot of pickle juice it's nasty.
Let me tell you the search journey I just went through to find your channel again as i was blanking on your name! I dont know why i just needed to watch you so badly at midnight but finally serched 'eating like my dad for a day' and you finnaly popped up after many attempts and becoming sad i couldn't find you and i even started to scroll through my 17+ year old account subscription list. ❤
lastly, if you need a pro tip to use up spinach, make spinachi contorni (sautéed spinach)- most delicious side dish to any eat or fish and even as a bread topping! with a squeeze of lemon juice, fresh garlic and a touch of olive oil with it makes it tastier!
In North Carolina, where it originated, there is a drink called The Witch Doctor. It involves several sodas, including one called Cheer Wine (it's a soda and I believe a southern thing) and adding pickles. I believe In & Out does a version with Sprite. Never heard of lemonade and pickles, though.
When it comes to opening a jar hold the jar in front of you and smack it fairly hard on the bottom three or four times. Then twist the lid and it should pop right off. Works for me. Hi from Virginia 👋
Do you know why hitting the corner of the lid works?. What you are doing is putting a small dent on the edge which breaks the seal, using the handle of a knife works best , you don't want to use metal tools since they could actually chip the glass under the lid and the glass could break if you hit it just right. The dent should be as small as possible so you don't have to hit it too hard or multiple times!
For the jar, use a knife instead of a spoon and it will work, you just have to fit it under the lid so air gets in, that's all. It works with spoons too but they need to be less thick, so a knife always works better. But you know, knife safety while you're doing it
14:05 How come it’s especially suggested for ”mums to be”? Does it have something in it with a nutrient value that is good during pregnancies? If not, I think non alcoholic drinks is tied to so many people. I guess I’m curious because it’s a subject I often come across due to never drinking alcohol, but with for no special reason (I just don’t really care for the taste or the feeling of alcohol). I find people have an easier time with someone not drinking alcohol if there is a reason eg. religion/pregnancy/addiction/driving and such.
It's good for inducing labour for pregnant women who've gone over their due date. it also helps strengthen the uterus and prevents haemorrhages during pregnancy
Fudge Monkey! (I thought I was the only person that says this!😅) Also run the hot tap and hold only the jar lid under it for a few seconds if you can’t open it 😉
Thank you! Wash ALL fruits and veggies before using, and wash your can lids before opening! Those things sit in warehouses, often in partially opened crates, with mice and rats running over top of them. This is why so many people get sick.
@@JulieConkle I know. Some people have died because of contaminated Romaine lettuce. The grocery store here had none for ages. I am glad you know about safety precautions. I have to say that I winced when I saw you cut up berries in the palm of your hand! Glad you didn’t cut yourself 🥰
I think the pickle lemonade sounds terrible anyway, but also…the gherkins you have in the UK are a completely different flavor than our classic American dill pickles. I feel like they add other flavors to those gherkins, and if I remember correctly, they are a bit sweet…which our pickles are not. So, I think this probably turned out different than it was intended. Having said that…it still doesn’t sound very good! 😂
For jars i just take the non knife end of a butter knife and just smack it all around the jar lid rim and then its easy to open and you save your counters
The spoon underneath the lid trick, is a quick one. The spoon must make contact with the glass to ensure it’s at the right angle and then push down until the lid clicks. Spoon is turned the way you held it (right side up)❤
Please be careful opening jars. Hitting the top can cause glass shards to break off into it. Even if it’s just tiny pieces. My grandad cut his throat by doing that. There are jar openers online that work better.
I feel like your quantities were all wrong for the matcha watermelon.. like in the original, she's using the whole melon to make the juice with those amounts of matcha and milk. For that size of jar, i'd think you'd need to put like two thirds of juice in and half the matcha and milk.
I’m from Texas and we have a Piccadilly which is essentially a pickle snowcone and even when I was a child our school used to sell pickle pops (frozen pickle juice). Never heard of pickle lemonade though 🤔
Apologies if I offended you with my comment about cutting away from yourself instead of cutting toward you. Weird things happen to one's brain when you reach the grandparent stage of life. It will take a while until I get less annoying. Until then, at least my puppy still tolerates me. 😊
0:30 Pregnagrack! You look like you're doing very well; I admire your commitment to trying bizarre and unusual things even though your senses are heightened by your condition.
This is completely unrelated but it’s almost your UA-cam 10 year anniversary! You should react to your first video, it’ll be 10 years old in 9 days :)
Just a lil tip - if you add spinach to a recipe that doesnt call for it ALWAYS add more salt in along with it 🧡
I think the problem with the drink was that she used the whole watermelon and just a little bit of matcha (even less than you used), so the quantities are very very off, it should be way more watermelon and less matcha.
What you were trying to do with the spoon to open the jar, do that but with a butter knife (the blade is thinner than the spoon and safe because it's not sharp).
I do it all the time, it's never failed me
If she just banged the butter knife on the jar it would be the same as knocking it on the counter.
I do it as well with the butter knife
Bottle cap opener works wonders as well!
Hihi the trick I use for opening jars is using a dull knife instead of the spoon, it inserts air in the jar this breaking the vacuum seal 😊❤
5:59 run the jar under hot water in the sink for 30 seconds. It expands the metal so it lossens.
I make those truffles but with Oreos and white chocolate and they're the best! It helps if you put them in the freezer rather than the fridge before dipping them in chocolate so they're more solid and don't melt instantly!!
The raspberry leaf tea softens the cervix ready for labour
I love to do the truffles either with Biscoff Biscuits or Oreo, so yum!
I love your channel so much, it makes me so happy thank you so much for sharing your ideas. The videos always brighten my day when I’m sad ❤.
I routinely drank raspberry leaf tea from 32 weeks and I had such a pain free labour my pain tolerance is so low I was shocked not sure if it was related to the tea but I reckon so, 56 hours of labour and took 2 paracetamol the whole time 😂😂
fresh mint or basil would make a great addition to the watermelon matcha drink!
probs cherries instead of strawberries on the choc triffle would elevate the recipe! like a mini forest gateau cake😃😍
I believe the cookie balls were blitzed in the food processor ... crumbs and cream cheese ... the ones in the TikTok were much more "integrated."
Adore your videos, and lets have a moment to admire the knife sound before cutting that watermelon 😊😊
I got silicone jar grippers and they help to open jars so much easier, i got them on amazon
Raspberry leaf tea is also super good in the week leading up to your period as it can really help to reduce cramping and give a lighter flow. So that mocktail might be a nice alternative to just drinking the tea straight up!
I’ve always found using a bottle opener to open jars has been helpful :)
Hi Grace, You just need to use the spoon the other way. 😊 The idea is that you create a little gap under the lid so that air can escape. Works every time. X
How about an updated Bake-off challenge? Love your videos.
you can freeze the spinach so it never goes off... and its better than buying frozen spinach (which comes in those back balls/ blocks and takes ages to defrost) Xxxx :)
I really enjoyed this video
And I really like those salt and vinegar pringles
Use the other end end of the teaspoon and put it under the lid where the widest point is 😊
Raspberry leaf tea and spicy food someone’s wanting baby to come soon 😂❤ I couldn’t stand raspberry leaf tea maybe I need the mocktail x
Not even with honey and lemon?
Percussive therapy to open jars for the win!

I would say you needed more watermelon in the drink.
My doctor recommended pickle juice as a preventative measure for nighttime leg cramps. High in potassium.
3% of daily requirements as far as potassium and magnesium. Great for replenishing electrolytes. My husband can attest to fewer leg cramps! I can attest to it's yumminess!
my doctor recommends expensive drugs that he gets a kickback from!. leg cramps-kick back lol .....

My gosh, where are those glasses that you made the pickle lemonade and the chocolate strawberry dessert please? I am in loveeee
Blitz old spinach with a bit of water and put in ice cube tray. Add to any tomato base sauces
To open jars etc either use a rubber glove or a piece of rug gripper (the rubber gripper stuff that you put under rugs so they dont slip)
When it comes to opening a jar hold the jar in front of you and smack it fairly hard on the bottom three or four times. Then twist the lid and it should pop right off. Works for me. Hi from Virginia 👋
Bottle opener with the jar lid 😊
Note to self:
Chocolate trifle (chocolate protein pudding, milky way stars, brownie, Strawbs + Tesco soy yogurt cream)
Gingerbread cheesecake (blitz gingerbread men, cream cheese pumpkin frosting)
Should’ve done them with white chocolate and then made them like snowmen. Cute xx
Jar opening- Use the un sharpened edge of a butter knife to tap the side of the jar lid. It’s just like hitting it on your kitchen counter.
You can also make the pots of joy by melting chocolate into one of those fresh custard pots. Let it chill and voila.
The best watermelons are from the Turkish shops!
Bottle opener under the lid pops the seal perfectly.
Use the end of the spoon 👍🏼❤️
I make my cookie balls with Oreos and use white candy melts , they are very addictive .
I don't think I've ever seen pickle lemonade, but there is a drink called the witchdoctor which adds pickles to soda.
Would love you to do another Q&A! ❤
Turn the jar upside down and hit it with the heel of your palm in the center a couple of times. Breaks the seal almost every time.
The bump is looking SO cute! ❤❤❤
Do you know why hitting the corner of the lid works?. Grace making a labour inducing cocktail lol. X
Lots of fun ideas
did i miss something??? how did i not know you guys got married already. congrats 🥳❤😊
I'm constantly getting dessert bowls come up!
Frilly fettuccine sparks joy

For the spoon thing: Use the other end of the spoon and it should work!
My husband showed me the best and easiest method to open tricky jars. Use a rubber washing-up glove.
14:05 How come it’s especially suggested for ”mums to be”? Does it have something in it with a nutrient value that is good during pregnancies?

When you said about the pineapple juice always has a funny taste, I sometimes find it smells/tastes like raw potato😂 xx
try to open the jars with a butter knife not a spoon. works a charm ✨
'You are a melon' 😂❤
I whack the jar edge with a butter knife. Also, if you take your hands folded them together and over the jar and squeeze.
Fudge Monkey! (I thought I was the only person that says this!😅)
Also run the hot tap and hold only the jar lid under it for a few seconds if you can’t open it 😉
That pickle lemonade looks so good but I know it would give me the WORST acid reflux😂
Please be sure to wash the exterior of the watermelon before cutting as you can get Ecoli
Thank you! Wash ALL fruits and veggies before using, and wash your can lids before opening! Those things sit in warehouses, often in partially opened crates, with mice and rats running over top of them. This is why so many people get sick.

Use a bottle opener to pop the jar open
Is this the new kitchen!?
I literally use a bag of spinach per meal - and I live alone😂
I think for the drinks they needed different ratios - more watermelon/lemonadr
I think the pickle lemonade sounds terrible anyway, but also…the gherkins you have in the UK are a completely different flavor than our classic American dill pickles. Mind blown there is fizzy lemonade 😂
For jars i just take the non knife end of a butter knife and just smack it all around the jar lid rim and then its easy to open and you save your counters

🔥🔥🔥🔥
I drink raspberry leaf tea to help my menstrual cramps! I drink it by itself but might need to make that mocktail :)
Pineapple juice out of a tin tastes different, I never liked it either as a child. And lime makes everything better xo
Honor is right about the knife.
Keep that sharp edge pointed away from the bump
and towards everybody else.
Please be careful opening jars. Hitting the top can cause glass shards to break off into it. Even if it’s just tiny pieces. My grandad cut his throat by doing that. There are jar openers online that work better.

Early..who else thinks it must be nearly baby time?😊
You can freeze those types of treats to hurry the process ...
just whack the edge of the jar with the handle of a butter knife, works every time!
Grace! wack a butter knife or spoon on the sides of the jar instead of on the cabinet !
Omg who else is early? These recipes look SO GOOD ❤
me 🙋🏼♀
someone probably said this but to open a jar run it under hot water for a few seconds.
Hysterical! Fudge…Monkey…Butthead!
❤️❤️❤️
Your pickle lemonade looked alot more muckee and thick compared to the TicToc one
To open your jar just bang on a tea towel on the bench
I’m from Texas and we have a Piccadilly which is essentially a pickle snowcone and even when I was a child our school used to sell pickle pops (frozen pickle juice). Never heard of pickle lemonade though 🤔
Omg ive never been so early i love your content been watching for ages ❤
Can you eat soft 🧀 mascapone and cream cheese 😮
Apologies if I offended you with my comment about cutting away from yourself instead of cutting toward you. Weird things happen to one's brain when you reach the grandparent stage of life. It will take a while until I get less annoying. Until then, at least my puppy still tolerates me. 😊
Pineapple juice tastes like the smell of cat food.
❤

*Your singing voice is amazing! You should make song videos. 😊 Borrowing my husband's YT. - Katarina*
There's a little mistake in the title! Really hope the watermelon works out hahah
Too much cream cheese to biscuit
Grace's belly is showing so much now!
When she's front on, I completely forgot she's pregnant as she so slim still and then she turns and boom huge baby 😂😂
