Hi, Im a Malaysian chinese here. Thats very true. Usually, chinese peoples we are prefer chinese cuisines i guess coz its our DNA. Isnt like we dont support malay restaurant or business. Cos chinese are very selective for foods unless we know that restaurants serve a good quality foods then we will go there. She is right.. If you see the malay restaurant and many chinese patrons which mean that restaurant must be a gem restaurant. Same thing apply to chinese restaurant too. Like myself, i love malay foods too cos their flavour and taste so much different compare to chinese. especially the malay Chicken rendang, ayam masak merah, Nasi Kelabu in Kelantan , asam pedas and more. Usually, you can spot many chinese peoples love to support street vendors selling Nasi lemak and Nasi campur. As long as the food is good surely you can see chinese or Indian there. The best things living in Malaysia with multi cultures we have such an amazing peoples and races and ever individually race have their own gems cuisine. I hope you will slowly explore and get to know the beauty of Malaysia ❤ Also, do not forget to try Malaysian Indian cuisine too such banana leaf rice. seems like very good quality food, but the price looks like it is slightly on the higher side for average malaysian. but usually for places like this better order the from the set menu as it seems better value there with fixed price. the set meal looks like a great value.
