Love the vids man, keep it up! There is a way to do this without splicing the wires, but it involved taking the taillights out to pass the cable through. Wasn't too bad tbh, and saved me from cutting the gromet.
You’d still have to get the wires in the back side of the bumper and they are connected to the signals themselves-I’m not sure how you can get around it.
@@SpeedCultureStudios you're right. From what I recall, I did this like two years ago, I used the kit shown in this video, ua-cam.com/video/xb4uCn4OImI/v-deo.html With the plugs not being attached out of the box, it was possible to not damage the gromet.
@@SpeedCultureStudios hope so! Hey how do you feel about those drop in filters you have. Do you feel they are any better than regular paper drop in? I swear I saw a power reduction when I added the K&N drop ins. Maybe I’m losing it but I noticed a difference and not in a good way.
Silly question but if you pull the plugs look inside the connectors are there any tabs that can be pried a little to remove the wires instead of cutting and splicing them? If so maybe taking a quick pic of the connector to remember where they went inside the plug and just removing them that way to fit them through the bumper holes may be the way to go.
You could probably do that-just risk poor connection when putting the wires back in. Putting pins on the pigtail would have been helpful to just pin each wire into location. I will be cleaning mine up either just soldering then permanently or making quick connects
I'm putting these in this weekend and also picked up the sequential mirror and front turn signals. Could you tell me what wires from the light goes the wires on the harness with the car? Mine didn't come with the harness connectors. I did though buy the mirror and front turn signals from JR Light.
There really isn’t a good place to drill that large of a hole. It all acts as support for the light itself so removing any bumper material would reduce integrity. You can certainly try it, but I wanted to be sure the light fit tight

I was going to disconnect the blue wire I think it is so tat doesn't happen. That is if I do get them. That was the first mod I wanted to do too until I saw the flashing.

@@SpeedCultureStudios they don't work with headlights on. That work fine with only the DRLs. I'm not sure why yet. Need to recheck the wiring. I don't have the trail lights as turn mod.
Finally got around to checking the wiring. Definitely an issue with pin/wire set up on sequentials. With tail lights on no sequential, hazards, or brakes. Trying to research factory side to match up with new wires. Otherwise, I'll try another set from a different seller...
Could you have pulled the wires out with a small screw driver at the connector? Some are solid and others you can reach the small tabs on the wire ends. and then once pulled thru you can just push them back into location and they lock in place again.
They do!!! Everything works as intended as well as lock and unlock functions from key fob. I have the Hybrid Sport and have been going nuts. These videos give me most of the motivation so thank you
