Please don't stop making Soul Food Meals ! I love your Soul Food Meal! Actually, Butter Beans and corn bread is a part of a Soul Food Meal! I'm going to cook this meal, it looks delicious 😋 Thanks for this recipe ❤
Mrs. “C” just do your thing ok everything your doing is good so just keep it coming. Your presentation is as beautiful as you are and it is enjoyed. Whatever your reason for stopping to present any of your videos is your choice but I say if it feels right then it is so right so again and simply said “JUST DO IT”!! Thank you!!
Pls keep doing Soul food Sundays ❤️Ms. Camirra! Maybe 2x a month? As a single working parent I appreciate the time issue plus the extra food cost - Also the rice tip 👍 💯 a Jamaican friend told me 1 inch water above the rice (any kind) & it turns out perfect everytime 😅
You should be doing what you're normally doing for that day's meal. Doing what you think the people want to see will put you in a space as you've expressed doesn't feel good. I hope my thoughts are clear. Basically I'm saying just share what ever you intended on cooking for you and your family that day. Because then you're not doing anything extra or feeling like you're doing anything extra. Also, on days you don't cook or just make a sandwich share that if you like. "Hey guys I didn't cook dinner today we're just eating a sandwich with chips", or whatever. Center your content around your regular life and that should make it easier to manage. Without feeling like you're doing something extra. We're gonna watch whatever you cook. But if you base all your meals off what we want, girl !!! No ma'am 😂 I hope that makes sense. Have a good day 😊 And I'm definitely trying these Cajun butter beans. Thanks ❤
I love your summer hair. And please do not get rid of your soul food. I watch every single one of your videos and I thoroughly enjoy them. I was raised with salt and pepper being the only spice that went on food. Gotta love the English so watching and trying all of your food just makes life a little bit more interesting thank you for everything you do Kathy.
I love your Sunday meal videos. They inspire me to come up with my own Sunday menus and they are a great motivation when I get overwhelmed. I’ve tried some of your recipes and they came out so good! But it’s not just the recipes I’m interested in, I like to see how to cook a full meal and the final outcome. I find it so satisfying. There are so many UA-camrs that put out single recipes (which is fine) but so few orchestrate an entire meal and show the work that goes into it. I just want you to know that I love your content and appreciate what you do!
Hey Cammirra girl what's up with yo ole pretty self! Long time no see, girrrrrrl...you know you can cook ok!!!! God bless you!!!! Ok, now girl, please don't stop doing the Soul food Sunday thing ok...pleeeaaaase don't stop doing that. Just do them once a month, or every other month or something then, or whenever you feel like it, because those recipes be helping me girl! And even if I don't cook them all I just love watching those Soul food Sunday videos anyway because they just be caIming me down, and I enjoy them ALOT!!! I don't care how often you do it, just keep doing it ok!!!! We need you girl! Period! I understand about the job and stuff, girl we watch those videos, and I'm guilty of not committing all the time, and I'm so sorry about that, but I always give you thumbs up though...does commenting help your autrhythem thing? I know I spelled it wrong but you know what I'm saying...ok, I will comment more. I just didn't want to seem stalker-ish by committing so much, my daughter got on me about that and told me to stop, saying I was looking crazy, saying, "you know you don't have to watch every video every time you get a notification, and stop writing these people they gon think you stalking them every time they see you on each video commenting, you look like you have no life." Uh!??! No life?? Girl, kids right...well she just hurt my poor ole feelings so I stopped...but yeah girl, I watch every video, I LOOOVE the juicing videos, those are my favorite! Your sooooo creative with those! And your skin shows the health and GLOW all over your face. Your hair and skin be looking so pretty. Oh! I LOVE that soup segment that you did this past winter with the chicken fingers, girl that was tight! I repeatedly watch that one. Your soups be helping girl! If you still juice, go check out Raw Kristina, and Good Living with Harold here on youtube, they'll hook you up!!! The best juicer is the Nama juicer to me, or the Kuvines juicer. Thank you for this recipe, it looks so GOOD! I can't wait to try it. How long should I cook it with just a regular Dutch oven/pot because honey I'm too scared to work that pressure cooker, I have one, it's still in the box, I'm too scared to use it. I don't know how to use it. Ok take care girl! God bless you!!!!🎉❤😊🌷🥰🌺🌹🕊️
I love parboiled rice. I use 1 1/2 cups of water for every cup of rice. I wash the rice in cold water and add it to boiling water. I cook it for about 12 - 13 minutes remove it from the heat and keep the lid on. It comes out perfect every time. I always add salt and butter to my water.
Makes sense why the Soul Food Sundays stopped. As a newtuber, a simple unedited short takes me ~90 mins; 8 -10 hours is basically a part-time job. Making butter beans to throw in jamaican oxtails tomorrow, so enjoyed watching how you make yours. We have that same pressure cooker.❤
New to the channel and like the mix of recipes. Do love soul food recipes, but am open to all/any recipe you want to feature. Watching you is very comforting! Sadly cannot eat everything I'd like to anymore, but sure do like watching the preparation!
Camirra, I enjoy watching your videos and am happy with whatever you prepare. Your food always looks delicious when you prepare it. Please keep on cooking.😊😊
4:05 I saw that video where you made a leek pasta sauce and I haven't made it exactly like that yet but my mom got some kale around that time and only used part of it so I made that recipe (and modified it a bit) to use kale instead (and like... 6 jalapenos! I love jalapenos but be warned it's very spicy when you use this many). I cooked some kale in a slow cooker (with various seasonings, use whatever you like, I like Tony's, some Accent, and some other seasonings I had in the cabinet) until it was nice and soft. I sauteed onions until nice and brown and caramelized (also those were seasoned), then I sauteed the jalapenos until they were nice and soft and then I added in a ton of roasted garlic I made previously. Put that in a blender with a bit of heavy cream then after it was blended I put that in a pot (it's a paste consistency at this point) and added some more heavy cream, a bag of parmesan cheese and let it all melt into a nice sauce and it turned out really good! Not exactly your recipe but it inspired me to do something different! I've made it twice now and it's so good with some penne pasta, any pasta shape will do though obviously. The jalapeno and kale compliment each other very nicely, the sweetness of the sauteed onions balances out the bitterness of the kale and the roasted garlic just puts a nice little bow on it all. My mom loved it! Anyway love your videos in general!
Camirra, I love all of your wonderful recipes, and have made many of them! I actually treated some friends to a soul food dinner based on several of your recipes, and, man, were they happy! Love your food and your beautiful personality! ❤❤
Soul food Sunday were perhaps my favourite videos of yours but I do still watch other videos. As long as you keep them on your channel it's fine! Also single soul food recipes are fine too. I do find soul food recipes generally more interesting and it makes your channel special.
hey your soul sister stopping by to say i love and miss your sunday dinner videos.i would really like you to start back cooking sunday dinner.happy holidays and happy new year .
I recently subscribed. I recently bought a bag of lima beans and wasn't sure how to cook then. the for another dish I bought celery, but now I have all this celery and didn't know what to do with it. This video is the perfect solution! Maybe do a quarterly soul food Sundays. That could make it worth the while. I'll check back when I finish and thanks for using the Instant pot. Instant pot dishes in general are great.
Didn't used to be a fan of lima beans but when I had my cousin Suit's (pronounced "soot") from Louisiana's butter beans, Hunny...changed my whole palette!
It doesn't matter what you cook, everything is good, please don't slow down. Cajun seasoning for everything I eat. Thank you so much for everything you do, your wonderful 🎉
I love using smoked neckbones in my beans. I think it has more flavor, and its a meal with the beans, meat and piece of bread. I enjoy all of your videos, but I understand the time component with limited return, I'm here for whatever you decide to do that works best for you!
Hey Camirra 🤗 Queen you’re fabulous!! I happen to have found a video of yours on the homepage and decided to watch and I got hooked! 😉 There was a pretty good amount of Soul Food Sunday participants but the ones I watch stopped doing it 🤷🏾♀️. I say do whatcha want its your channel. Now onto the Butter Beans 🫣 I can’t holler at you. Never ever liked them. Now if they’re in a stew/soup… that’s okay because so much is going on But a side dish…absolutely not. You hooked em up proper fo sho but I’d use those same seasonings for Navy or Great Northern beans. That cornbread…Jiffy is the move. I use 2 medium eggs as well just like you did. It’s just something about that savory-sweet that gets me every time.
Hi sis! I love your content. I watch for different techniques and approaches to traditional soul food meals. I appreciate your hard work for us subbies🫶🏾🙌🏾
it was a bummer at that time, but i get it. maybe the ppl needed a mix up! i still do try and post soul food here and there so the faithful can always get a little soul in their weekly menu
@@CamirrasKitchen your recipes remind me of my Mom’s cooking. Especially the ones I forgot how to make. I will continue watching and sharing ur videos. Also, if you have a cook book, how can I get it?
Yummy 😋. I would love 💕 the beans 🫘 (without bacon 🥓 & “hotdog”) and the cornbread. I LOVE from the fresh corn 🌽 bread. Jiffy is so “sweet”. But you made a delicious scrumptious meal! 😘
When I need a recipe for something, I always go to your UA-cam channel 1st and type it in the search. If I don’t find what I’m looking for then I’ll put it into Google. It would be great to see more recipes that were low-carb with your flavors. So really dishes that are meat and vegetables that taste like they came from Camirra’s kitchen would be better for everyone’s health.

I understand your reasoning for not making the Sunday meals anymore. What you’ve done here is good enough!
I've made quite a few of your recipes, both soul & healthy. I'm like you, I like food. Thanks. 💙
I dunno why UA-cam would deemphasize the soul food videos! That’s how I found your channel, and it’s still my favorite kind of video you make.
I don’t know why either! But it did happen. I will of course still make soul food on this channel.

My top favorite beans on the planet. Black eyes peas are next with corn bread or biscuits. Yummy recipe. ❤
There is nothing wrong with some Jiffy mix 🙂
I love these individual meals❤ TFS!

Hello Martha Stewart says to use 1 cup of water to 1cup of rice so I’ve been doing that lately same technique as you steam with lid
The one to one method only works for me in the instant pot. I feel like it too dry lol. But maybe I need to reduce cook time and it will work 🤔
Hi Camirra! We are eating way less animal products and I would love to see some vegetarian/vegan recipes :)
