Sylar is the Best and Coolest Villain of All TV Series,I never get this much pleasure watching another character.
Harrison Wells from The Flash season 1 & 2 trumps this. Love Heroes but Tom Cavenagh is one of the best villains on TV.

Adam Monroe can never die either cuz him and clair have the same power. And they both died by people who steal powers.
I think that was actually because of the "light" that Hiro's mom put in her and later through time travel it was negated which is how she can die.
@@joeyellis850 she died because her son had powers similar to his great grandfather ant took them. She bleed out during child birth.
Also Sylar killed Arthur Petrelli, who had the same healing ability (stolen from Adam Monroe)

Magneto being a really good villain, i dont think he is comparable to Joker who is a mentally ill psychopath, and Sylar who has an insatiable hunger for power, while Magneto is an anti hero and fights for Mutant rights because they are oppressed.

In all fairness, pregnancy itself wouldn't kill her, it was just her son who inherited the ability to steal powers from her grandfather, so took her power whilst he was being born, which led to her death. It's kinda whack though because although he took them, he could only keep one at a time.

Just finished rewatching season 3. It is funny that in the “I am Sylar” episode, Sylar took the ability of a man that turns a figurine into ash when he snaps. I wish that Sylar used that ability more often in the following episodes and made it his trademark when deadling with those that threaten him so Sylar could have been Thanos before there was Infinity War.
He literally has dozens of powers which he never ends up using
He also have supersonic voice which was super powerfull aparently and he never used it, not once. Also even though he has the ability to copy powers without killing he also almost never used it, he could have been Peter or better but no. Also dissapointing we didnt see him on heroes reborn.
@@alejandrogiha7583 the show established pretty early on that he feels the need to kill and that it’s hard to resist. Even then s4 set up him being a good guy but ya know it got canceled.

Yeah, that stuck in my head....but always made me wonder. How does he actually copy powers from brains then? Is he just pulling them out, looking them over, till he's like "Now I get it, Okay, Atomic hands go like This"
Sylar and Peter were both the best characters ever created for the series; i especially loved sylar's character development and was looking forward to more, if they had kept writing the show right and focused more on peter and him I'm pretty sure we would have gotten some more spectacular seasons.🔥💯😁😉👍
Honestly season 3 had good ideas going but janked them out of under our noses. the short arc were peter became controlled by sylars hunger and sylar became good was the great idea and could have pushed further in other seasons. essentially reversing the roles. But nooo they came back right to the start in the few episodes. Then gave some stupid arc for sylar and taken petesrs powers away.
Yeeeee the episode where Peter's dad steal his power is the day the series died......... Sure he got "new" power where he can borrow 1...... If they just gave him his power back it would be diffrent...... But "nerfing him" just killed it for me
I really loved the idea of Sylar obtaining powers through ambition and Peter obtaining powers through empathy. It was a cool way to pit two opponents against each other.

It comes from the power he tried to steal from Eden, I'm guessing he stole the voice but not the power to convince people to do what he wants 🤨

Yes, he can take power without cutting the brain just like when he mimicked Elle's powers but he cannot use it properly, it will take time, you can see how he was struggling to use the power under Elle tutelage, Elle even told him it would take time after Sylar became frustrated. When he cuts open your brain and examine he understands it more and can use just as skillful if not skillful than the person who owned it and besides he loves it, remember when he killed the girl that has the power to detect lies he said how he missed it when he was slicing her brain..
It was pretty much just a cool trick to him.
He's supposed to be a disturbed individual, so that jus proves it more. Hence the hunger point in all of this. Even if her learned from day one, he still gets the hunger. and the hunger probably comes from the type of person he is, born from his dad who was a POS. I love him so much he's such a great villain
The first season is definitely in my top 10 best TV shows of all time,, especially when I think about shows that hooked me from the start💯👍💖👍💯

Watched this show at a formative age and the idea of brains and removing them from a living person still makes my stomach churn. Thats how you make a scary villain.
I remember they planned on killing him in Season 1. Then Season 2 he’s kind of, just there. But then after that I think the quality of all the characters starts to nose dive because of the writer strikes.
But I’ll never forget how good of an antagonist he is in Season one, such good suspense when the ticking starts.

Every time an evolved human tried to forecast Sylar's future, they were dead wrong about his fate. Isaac believed that he saw Sylar die, but in season 2, he survives. When Sylar is tranquilized by Peter in Season 3, everyone believed that Sylar had been put to death. Even Hiro went back in season 4 (albeit to save Charlie) and told Sylar his future, that he would become powerful and die alone. However, that is not what happened to Sylar. It seems that Sylar's future is difficult to forecast. It seems that the evolved humans who can foretell the future can't see everything.
That's very interesting. It seems Sylar can survive anything. He's adaptable, and that's what I like about his character. No matter how many times the main characters try to kill Sylar, he's literally indestructible. I'm only sad that he became a hero. He should've stayed a villain. He was so interesting as a villain. But then again, I love that he's so flawed asking for forgiveness.
I think he would of gone bad again.
@@accidentalmadness1708 Agree. Even if the show went on Slyar would have likely killed again because he only deluded himself into thinking he was one. He never believed in the things that made Peter or Hiro a hero and that was genuinely helping people.

It's because they told him his fate. That's what changed his future.
the whole point is if you see the future you are apt to change it and anyone around who believes it will want to as well.. You can even contribute to bad things happening when time traveling. You may notice all the times the future didn't come true for multiple people, not just slyer.
Czech dubbing make this show 100x better. I love this show ❤

Isaac the painter was a fool he had the power to paint the future yet he did not run and as a result of his actions he died. Truth be told I think he felt guilty because he killed his girlfriend.

Season 3 was not very good, but series as whole was, and it was left unfinished. Sylar was a very cool villain, someone that has depth, not just a empty enemy. Definitely one of the best villains in any series ever.

So, what does everyone think Sylar ever did with the brains when the bodies discovered were missing them? Claire asked him about eating it and he seemed disgusted

I'm assuming it was because when he ripped the heads open of most people, they died, meaning he could just take the brain out to better examine it. Claire, however, didn't/couldn't die, so I'm guessing that some sliver of humanity or perhaps cruelty made him leave it in her skull.

It was Molly the little girl that could find anyone that gave the fanbase the idea. She told Matt I think that Sylar eats brains and just stuck because when he killed his victims there was never any brains.
He would take the brains out and examine them later and probably destroy them to get rid of evidence. He didn't/couldn't with Claire because of her immortality.
Guess you got to be a really good Hand Actor to play a telekinetic...

Gabriel Gray, better known as Sylar, would be a true opponent for a psychopath guy like Homelander.
Season 1 Sylar would tear Homelander apart, once he has Claire's power, there is literally nothing Homelander can do to him. Even some of the Marvel and DC heavy hitters would struggle with him. You need a high level telepath to handle Sylar.
Isn't it strange how a dated superhero series does better without all the extra VFX. Using more practical applications of super powers. Modern superhero shows should have been more like Heroes.

I haven't seen this show, aside from a few episodes when it was on cable when I was a preteen. Remembered some of the parts shown here. It legit pisses all over anything the CW has made and will ever make. This show is boarder line rated R compared to most super hero oriented shows today (obviously not beating Dead Pool or The Boys lol). Need to figure out where I can stream it.

Its funny cus he steals powers theoughput most of the show. They change it for one instance where he gains electrokinesis through empathetic mimicry...and then never used either power again.

My question is what did Sylar do with the brain once he had the power? And when it's revealed he can acquire the power without having to open up their skull, why does he still do it?

if you are impatient gambling
step 2) win money. you are going to need it. lets say 1 million dollars.
step 3) learn medicine particularly radiology and genetics
step 4) buy a MRI vaccine and invest stock in a genealogy service that takes on genes
step 5) track people with superpowers due to genetic factors
step 6 use targeted advertising to lure them in for an MRI scan say you need them to research a particular gene or something like that
step 7 collect brain scans like they were Pokemon bonus since you didnt kill anybody no wood be heroes would stop you into becoming a physical god.
step 8 get a power that lets you age slower....not immortality because immortality sucks

He technically doesn't steal any powers, he just learns how to use them by opening up their skull and reading/understanding their brain, and in doing so the person dies
