I think you are experiencing impedance matching issues here, hence the cable/amp variations. I've experienced this myself. When I placed a zero gain amp between an Aeries II and the Topping A90D the improvement was astonishing and it was pure impedance matching. Keep up the great work 👍

Why don't you try to use the apple dongle? Like crinacle says it's "good enough" :P or a 50 dollar dac amp like from Fosi Audio? Just to test it, because i have the feeling that these will actually sound good on the fosi audio dac amp.
They are 8 ohms. They will melt your cheap garbage. Lmao
For that price you can get Monarch MKII and IER Z1R or U12t. I don't know if it'd make such a purchase obsolete and convince to get one sound signature in kilobuck range rather getting two.

@@En_Joshi-Godrez IF , IF you’ve got the proper cable, AMPLIFIER, tips ( they’re big bois ) and a whole host of other parameters ( watch the 50 minute long video ) he almost has an actual breakdown getting them to work ..yes they’re impressive..but SUPER FINICKY to amplification and accessories…it was ( is) quite the video 😳
@@carminedesanto6746 yea but thats also true of a ferrari, you need to put in a lot of effort to appreciate its engineering. Ironically the more expensive you go with any type of product, the more you need to do to get the best out of them. The ceiling is higher, so you need to do more to reach it.

@@speedy2davey my point is it isn’t even an apples and oranges comparison, it’s comparing Earth to Sirius. Your average person isn’t looking at these; your average person is probably looking at the Kiwis. This is a level of endgame that can only be… I hate to use the term “appreciated” but it’s all that fits… by people like Zeos, people who have experienced so much that they’re willing to take a chance on something this outrageously expensive.
Side note, why does anyone care what company makes a profit?
@@michaelmacvittie6977 Firstly, I can't abide McDonalds!!! Secondly, I was using the Kiwi Ears as name comparison, Cadenza v Cadenza, I could have used the SoftEars Twighlight or the Unique Melody Mest 2, but it wasn't as funny. The issue was having to match the IEM to a particular source in order to appreciate it which put into similar vein to the Hifiman Susvara ($6000) which also requires a headphone amp of equal cost in order to appreciate it. Personally I have only spent $200 to $300 dollars on a couple of IEMs not becuse I can't afford to, it's simply because I only wear them for commuting or shopping and not critical listening. That is reserved for my stereo system or some of my headphones at night time, and is where the bulk of my investment goes. Lastly, with regard to the issue of profit, addmitedly it was a little glib, however, greater sales and greater profits keep companies afloat and encourage deveopment and a willingnesss push boundaries, of which mMoondrop would be a good example, with their recent venture into headphone production .
