First visit around 1965, still remember the original "cast members". Cole Palen, the first Black Baron and creator. Dave Fox, the Regal Eagle and others. RIP Cole and many happy memories.
I have been to the show six times, as well as rode in one of their biplanes twice (not sure if they are still doing those.) The one thing you never see in movies or the games is the sound of the wind whistling though the wires between the wings, I was floored. If you have yet to see this show, it is worth the trip. The entire museum is beautiful. I always loved the farmer and his piper cub, who was always played as a fool who was 'not part of the show' and would infuriate the staff becuase he would interrupt it. But then his final flight was some of the best stunt flying you would ever see, and he would land on one wheel and go down the airstrip to pick up his hat he dropped earlier, because a good farmer never forgets his hat.
my only fault is there is no cavalry unit to represent the fact so many fliers were horse soldiers...but it pales beside what you all do to save this time in history and present it to each new generation that finds their way to your field.

Absolutely awesome!
Rhinebeck or Bust TX to NY 2021!!!!
So glad I got to go there, it won't last forever. Or will it?
My home away from home for YEARS.

🙄😑😑😑😂😂🤣🤣
Place looks psycho
Its a one-of-a-kind. They really try to entertain, as if flying original and replica WW1 and barnstorming airplanes wasnt enough!
You’re quite ignorant.
