Caught the biggest cutthroat on chironomids thanks for the video. It can be daunting trying to figure out what to use but I've learned from Brian's videos if it doesn't work keep switching until you get strikes.
These two guys are so knowledgeable and passing information down so detailed, thanks I had improved so much from both of you still water Flyfishing.
Thanks for the kind comment and yes, our number one goal is the educate and help anglers enjoy fly fishing.
Ive learned so much from you guys and applied them to the lakes down here in Colorado! going to have to purchases a fly bundle here soon!
Excellent Instructional video. Can't go wrong with following your advice! Thanks
Great video Don ! Is the date right on that video ? I thought the lake was winter killed ?
This show was uploaded to UA-cam in 2019 BUT filmed over 7 years ago. Yes, the lake has since winter killed and not sure if there was any re-stocking. Cheers.
@@SFOTF Hate hearing that what causes that? Extreme temp change?
Occurs mainly on shallow water lakes (25ft or less) that contain plenty of nutrients/weeds. The nutrients eat up all the oxygen, as they degrade over winter, and if the lake stays iced over too long into Spring, the larger fish can winter kill. The smaller fish are less susceptible but can still die off.
@@SFOTF Interesting! Thank you.
