Picton is a gorgeous town. Love it there
We both said when we got there that we could settle down to work there quite easily
*Kia ora, enjoy your time in the 'mainland' as that is what the South Island is called. Go see all the little hidden away gems, not just all the tourist places. Have fun and be safe... and never cross over the centre line on the roads.*
Hello! Do you know why South Island is called the Mainland? Is it just because its bigger?
We will do, hidden gems are our favourite places!
Hi Mr.& Mrs. N.A.A.
You two are brilliant together!!! I like car ferry..con is booking and waiting...OMG, once Kayak7seas and I got stuck on the waiting line BC the driver in front of us left for the bathroom and we had no space to pass it..I am glad you enjoyed the ferry ride. How long ride was it? Was it rough? I like standing at bow.....clever!! .Hostel is unfamiliar for me...Oh..well. You sound really relaxing for yourself..Can I expect any wildlife for next episode???
Thank you very much for making my day...Superb!
Hello hello! The ferry crossing was surprisingly calm, we absolutely loved it! It was about 3 and a half hours, so quite a long one.
Hostels are just cheap accommodation, you often share with a few other people in a room but you pay by bed. So its a good way to meet new people!
Nice Vlog, great travel. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a fantastic day. Take care.
Thank you!
Hi, we found your channel. You seem like a lovely humble couple. We really enjoyed it. We can’t wait to catch up on more adventures of yours. For now we have liked and subbed. Have a great day. Chelsea and Mike
Hey thank you so much! Glad to have you on board for the journey with us!
I must say that you guys are pretty cool. Enjoy your stay here
Thank you!
Looking good. We Can't wait to join up with you soon xxx
We can't wait!
Those views from the ferry!🥰
So beautiful right!
Enjoy both! The South Island is stunningly beautiful 😍 Get to Doubtful Sound if you can 🐬
We want to! Hoping to do both Milford and Doubtful!
Welcome to the best island 😂 Lewis pass is good but Arthur's pass is more spectacular scenery wise
Thank you! We're excited to be here.
We've heard Arthur's pass is incredible. We're limited to the north part of the south island until my sister gets here in a week's time. Is there anything you'd recommend doing?
First 🤘😎
🥇🥇🥇
Oh wow 5 months already and not sure about the whole SpongeBob murals 😂
I know, it's flown by!! Yeah it was quite funny having SpongeBob stare at you while you're cooking 😂
Rookie mistake to have waffles with cream at the start of the ferry trip... looks like it was calm enough to get away with it this time, but just a tip, i wouldn't risk it next time...
You're right though, it really is a diff country down there...very diff feel. Def make it to Abel Tasman in this part of your trip, you'll love it. Do a kayaking trip...
Yeah it wasn't the best idea, good job it was calm 😂 else Hannah would spend the entire time in the toilet 😂
Yeah so far it feels much more alpine compared to North Island, and we haven't even seen the bigger mountains yet!
We're heading to Abel Tasman next week we hope. Is there anywhere in particular you'd recommend?
@@NotAnotherAdventure Oh,there’s multiple companies that offer loads of diff options for kayaking trips through the national park, just have a look at which you’d prefer. If you can, a day/two day-long one from marihau up north to one of the bays like onetahuti would’ve amazing (that’d be long but you can figure out how to do any shorter distance in combination with the water taxi if you like), or one just south of marihau including split apple rock. I’d say do the great walk, but it’s too late to book.
Also, just a small thing but is irritating to kiwis-it’s The North Island, and The South Island (not North Island and South Island)
I’m not sure I have it in me these days to stay in a shared dorm hostel 🤦♂️😂😂 looked like a very fun quirky place however
They did have a few private rooms available 👀 but they were full when we booked!
