    this is an amazing and informative video. I was also suffering from this condition for 3 years and my condition was going worse day by day. I visited many hospitals and clinics but didn't get relief and then one day I went to planet Ayurveda and they gave me a rheumatoid arthritis care pack and now I am perfectly fine

    Nice video... BUT MY book says IgG (The autoantibodies, known as rheumatoid factor (RF), combine with IgG combine with IgG to for immune complexes that initially deposit on synovial membranes or superficial articular cartilage in the joints.) not IgM-

      @harshshah7843 7 років тому +4

      It's IgM Ab complexing w/ Fc portion of IgG. hope that helps!

      Mike Nieciecki RF represent multiple antibodies mostly IgM but sometimes IgG or IgA

      Mike Niecieck IGm deposition mostly

      The IgM affects the IgG by combing with the Fc portion of the IgG

    • @loveyoubed
      @loveyoubed 6 років тому +2

      Rheumatoid factor is an IgM antibody which targets the Fc portion of IgG and forms immune complexes which are deposited in the synovial fluid.

    In the previous video OA vs RA Symptoms, you state that in RA only the PIP is affected and in OA only the DIP is affected. In this video you state that both the DIP and PIP are affected in OA (Bouchard's and Herbeden's nodes)

    • @P370R
      @P370R 8 років тому +1

      +diane ongarato Nah, she doesn't state that in the previous video.
      In the symptoms video she explicitly states that in RA the PIP is affected and the DIP is (mostly) spared.
      She then goes on to say that in OA the DIP is commonly affected, unlike in RA, but doesn't explicitly state whether PIP is affected one way or the other.

    Can someone please help me - why is rheumatoid arthritis specific to synovial joints? Why does the inflammation and associate tissue damage occur here, if the rheumatoid factor is circulating systemically? Thanks in advance!

    • @woodlandcrone3763
      @woodlandcrone3763 7 років тому

      Its not. The inflammation can target heart and lung tissue hence I have heart and x ray check ups which should be best practice. It can also target moisture producing glands in the body e.g. tear ducts for which I have eye drops. There are other areas it can target because it is trying to destroy proteins in the body that can be found anywhere so it attacks cells not areas of the body the proteins just happen to be in those areas.
