I kind of remember it as - the heart is more towards left that is why we wear wedding rings in the left hand. it is so because left side is stronger as it has to pump blood to whole body and not just lungs so muscles there are stronger, that is why why heart is more towards left. it kind of means that left side pumps blood to the whole body.😕😕😕
i think the most important thing is remember the concept than use a shortcut. not only in this case, but in many topic in medical stuff. I can trully remember how systolic left failure make congestion in lungs by its anatomy, also right ventricle failure. not by a shortcut
I don't know who is behind these videos speaking but Thank you so much!! I am a visual learner and I can't even begin to tell you how much your videos have helped me actually understand these concepts that are taught in traditional lecture settings. Many Thanks again!!!
I watch so many of your videos on all kinds of biology. Thank you so much, it really helps with my University studies with your brilliantly explained videos.
I am doing awareness about pulmonary hypertension and heart failure is one of the results of PH that we as patients fear most. Is it possible that I may use some of your beautifully explained examples for our Afrikaans readers. Never seen HF explained so simple yet thorough that patients can understand what is happening in their bodies.
You made heart failure so simple to understand. Love the water bottle analogy. When I take my test tuesday i am going to picture the heart as a waterbottle lol
I have learned a lot from reading the articles on UA-cam I look up all my elements and heart failure and multiple sclerosis and everything else and I have found out a lot
+Terrance Vincent You video is quite helpful for giving an overview of what is done once a person is diagnosed with heart disease. You should also do some lecture on how you can prevent from any heart disease. After I was diagnosed I started using www.doctorbing.com lectures which have helped me a lot in getting the kind of fitness I am always looking for.
Is it called edema, when you have right sided heart failure, since the fluid builds up in the lower extremities? Great video btw, reat summary and expanation!
It’s caused by saline shot and synaide poisoning at Vanderbilt hospital you know the same hospital we are lab chimps for experimentation and me since I was 14 when we moved here
thank you sir for inspiring , i am also trying to help medical student to understand reference book eg guyton and robbins pathology. took inspiration from you sir ! thank you sir.
Can you have heart failure without a cardiomyopathy? Maybe if there was some kind of obstructive physiology, i.e. tampanode? I don't know if heart failure would be the best terminology in that case.
ScorpioQueen im about to die too , 16 years old same , like 6 years without breathing , super heart beats, pain i can hear my heart evrytime i sleep , now i have kidney pain
Albanian Templar im soo sorry to hear it, hope the best for you go through this, just never give up and always happy, it will help a lot, human body is soo mysterious, even people that have diagnosed will die but it will never be always
Well! try humbleing ur heart, Plus breath fresh air daily. Pull the air in ur nose and breath out ur mouth. Walk and clean ur car etc. Enjoy life. OH ! PRAYER IS WONDERFUL!
I think i have it when was younger i was often in an hospital and i think heard my mom and the doctors saying something about it and my heart rate was 90-120
fartpluswetone There was something about a wein in my heart that was to big or small I don’t remember I was like 5 back then. I took alot of medication but I stopped seeing the doctor as often as I became 11 years old
Hlo i have diagnosed hypertension concentric lvh and preserved lv function is it heart failure am only 22 year old please help me any one know what is it
Anyone reading this, I minister the healing power of Jesus into your body. I decree and declare that any heart disease in your body dies now in the name of Jesus. Kindly say this prayer If you want to give your life to Jesus, say Lord Jesus, I love you with all my heart, I believe that you are the son of God, I believe that you died for my sins, I believe that you rose again for my justification, right now I receive Jesus into my heart as my saviour, my Lord and my king. I declare that the power of sin, Satan, hell and the grave is broken in my life. From now I am a child of God. Thank you for giving your life to Jesus.
My heart rate and blood pressure seems to get lower and lower with time. My resting heart rate is 50 beats per minute (last time I checked, which was 3 months ago). I get dizzy every time I stand up and overall I feel weak. I went to the doctor and they seem to dismiss it. I just want to know if my heart is failing, I want to know how much time I have in case I'm dying. I've heard of patients being diagnosed with heart failure with a resting heart rate as low as mine. I live in a city with very incompetent ER doctors.
Please get your vitals taken and gets tests done to know if you are really are at risk, doctors and nurses are there to help you! It sounds like orthostatic hypotension when you describe feeling light headed after standing, but please tell the health care providers as much as you can! (I'm just a student atm)
+Yusuke Yurameshi Heart failure is the impairment of the heart to eject or fill up with blood properly. Cadiomypathy is just one of the causes that can lead to Heart Failure.
Daniel V oh yes right i see thank you so much! i was also thinking the same thing but i just ddnt know for sure. can you name other conditions of heart failure aside from cardiomyopathy? thanks daniel
When the heart fails, the autonomic nervous system pumps in adrenaline, norephedrine, and cortisol right into the myocardium to increase the cardiac output of the heart - that is, speed up the heartbeat to compensate for the declining cardiac output in heart failure. However, the release of these stress hormones in a failing heart CAN WORSEN THE HEART FAILURE, because these hormones, with time, cause further damage to the muscle walls in the myocardium's ventricles!!!!!
Is left ventricular dysfunction defined as left sided heart failure? What about both systolic and diastolic failure Grade 1? Is the Grading of heart failure based on the echo? Is not just a heart impairment? Is diastolic failure Grade 1 normal as we age? And is an enlarged heart "heart failure" or "cardiomyopathy??? Whats the difference between Heart failure and Congestive Heart failure? What if the patient suffers from both systolic and diastolic impairment, but EF is low normal, for around ten years, but suffers breathlessness, lightheadedness upon minimal physical task such as cleaning a mirror? Very confusing when reading the definitions. Aome HF patients are normal active others not so active and limited even if EF is normal, why is that? Thank you.
My wife passed away on 11th may 3 weeks ago only 35 her heart failed she had cancer 9yrs ago got over that but the chemo weakened her heart she spent month in hos fighting it but they found to many blood clots so wernt safe to operate. So after 2 weeks she rapidly went down hill and we had to turn machine of that was helping the heart as both sides failed in the end so she wernt getting the oxygen funeral on monday dreading monday
Underlying disease or condition like let's see.. anxiety. There are two conditions on is a fight or flight response sending signals to go faster and the other is trying to think and reason which requires the body to return to rest because in fight or flight the cognitive function is declined. And in any case, the body tries to give the musculature an advantage for fuel materials in fight or flight response. Ah but, the psychiatrists have described anxiety and depression as chemical imbalances in the brain. And anyone saying that they believe there are others in their lives wanting to do them harm are considered as delusional. How can the solution be found with these conditions in place?
We aren't meant to be on earth forever. For anyone scared of mortality Jesus Christ said " Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of it's own" Matt 6:34. Jesus Christ can tell us this because He lived a perfect life and has done what was required for US all of US to live again after we die. God bless you and Have Faith in Jesus Christ!
I think of left sided vs right sided failure as:
L for Left: L = lungs
R for right: R = rest of the body
+Systolic120mmHg Thanks brah
Systolic120mmHg thanks

it is so because left side is stronger as it has to pump blood to whole body and not just lungs so muscles there are stronger, that is why why heart is more towards left.
it kind of means that left side pumps blood to the whole body.😕😕😕
That's actually really helpful!

Giving oxyngen to my mom helped her alleviate chest pain and shortness of breath. Does it do good in the long run?
Amazing
Well explained. Thanks
I know this sound :) (OSMOSIS)
You helped to me veery well
This is amazing
Is it called edema, when you have right sided heart failure, since the fluid builds up in the lower extremities?
Great video btw, reat summary and expanation!
because of the fluid buildup yes there will be usually an accumulation of fluids usually in peripherals causing edema
Hello can you explain why muscles become lesser in systolic and more in disystole HF ? Thank you for amazing lec
Wonderful lessons! When will English subtitles be available for this topic?
+saintalucard87 hi there are already closed captions available. Its not 100% accurate but it might help you. Hit the "CC" button below the video.

If I have low EF from a STEMI heart attack about 40 % which I am on meds. Does that mean I have heart failure. Excellent Video.
I understand my condition better!
thanks alot
Great
I think i have it when was younger i was often in an hospital and i think heard my mom and the doctors saying something about it and my heart rate was 90-120
Heart failure is chronic, and in several cases, terminal. You likely had a spike in BP and got a trip to the emergency room.
fartpluswetone There was something about a wein in my heart that was to big or small I don’t remember I was like 5 back then. I took alot of medication but I stopped seeing the doctor as often as I became 11 years old
Hello, may I ask what program you used to create this video?

Meds? Nursing considerations? Teaching? Hardly NCLEX. More like a brief overview.
It's a playlist mate
I had diastolic heart failure as a baby actually.
