Pilates for Painful Knees- Knee Pain Exercises using a Cushion to Help Rehab Painful Knees

- Knee Pain exercises. Join me as I take you through a 30 minute pilates routine to relieve knee pain using a cushion to help strengthen the muscles around the knee and support a variety of knee conditions and pain. It is for anyone who is experiencing issues with their knees and wants an exercise programme to safely strengthen them as well as help with knee pain relief. These exercises will focus on correct knee alignment and knee tracking as well as building strength in all the muscles that support the knees- lower leg muscles, upper leg muscles, muscles directly around the knee, the hip, glute and the core muscles. It can be used as part of Active recovery programme for people who are very sporty such as runners and dancers who are starting to get a few issues with their knees. I have also created this programme for people with arthritis in their knees who want a knee safe programme that will build strength in their legs whilst keeping them free of exercises that cause pain. Taking this class regularly and consistently will improve strength, mobility and awareness of correct knee alignment. And I would recommend it to be taken at least twice a week.

piriformis syndrome earlier this year and also having slight scoliosis, it made my right knee go out of alignment. I found your channel and started doing your exercises. This is an amazing workout. Not only did it strengthen my knees, it has helped my hips too. I can feel the muscles being strengthened.

Thanks for this I have EDS and several surgeries on My knees. Not been able to do Pilates or Yoga for several years and almost managed all of this. Hoping I can get back into pilates again

Hello Rachel, Wonderful workout! Please could you do a work out for parents in their 80s and fairly recently they have lost strength knee wise and are experiencing weakness in their knees. Also they are having problems getting up from chairs. Certainly can't get up and down on the floor! One of your wonderful workouts would be very much appreciated. I have searched UA-cam for an appropriate knee strengthening work out for their age group and ability but there doesn't seem to be anything suitable for them. Very Best Wishes Sam xx

Hello I've been working out using your other vidéo for knee pain, with mat, for 2 weeks. I tried this one for a change. I find it more challenging. Would you say some exercices here are more advanced than the other video ?

Enjoyable video but very hard on my knees. Would suggest more options while going of what could be doing depending on ability.
