Chumlee the king of failing upwards ... it’s definitely a skill only few possess
Just about every politician has that skill
@My names Jeff andrew what are you doing in here
You have to love when they start explaining background of the item to its owner even if 5 seconds before that had no clue what this item was. I know it has to be entertaining and probably creators of that show thought it would be the best way to explain something to the audience, but this instant change is so ridiculous :D
yeah, if anything just added 'well looked it up and-' and that's all you need for a good way to let the rest blast past.
LMFAO I know, right? Forget the pawn shop and this show! Rick and Corey should take that genius test and see if they can get that genius grant for money. I mean, with all the knowledge they've gained through the show and through their shop, I bet they would know almost everything. Either that or get on Jeopardy and see if you can go on a run and win tons of money. Then the other one could go, one at a time, ya know?
@@kinagrill True, the modern audience doesn't really need that much of a boost to buy into pretty much anything. Unfortunately.
Chum- “you mind if I look at it”
Seller-“yes”
Chum- *touches the sword anyway*
"This end knob was created to prevent the blade from sliding out of your hand" That expert realized that at that moment.
"im selling this sword because my wife wanted a new kitchen and, my wife gets what she wants"
...im gonna *puke* .
Simp
It’s probably a joke bud

Random virgin on the internet: sImP
Chumlee: I dont know much about the history on this item.
5 minutes later
Chumlee: Heres the complete history of this item.
I love when Chums trying desperately to remember his script...like this dude knows anything about the Napoleonic army!! Lol.
Yeah, it's downright ridiculous. But American people don't mind because they don't care about authenticity, they just want entertainment.
I don’t like when sellers are rude if the estimate price comes low
I do it makes me laugh at their stupidity 😂
If chumlee was not a fan favorite he would have lost his job a long time ago hahaha
I really hate when the guys look at the blades without using gloves, the acid from your fingers can tarnish them.
Jetro who cares
I agree
Jetro is right these jackasses know better
you dont have acid in your fingers its oil
Ya! Use sum gloves guy's! (covid-19)
Help stop tha spread!
“Mind if I look at this?”
“Yes.”
Hahahaha
When you fail the English class
Well.. U already look at it.. 😂
1:11 "Do you mind if I look at it?"
"Yes".
Lmao
I love when a legit expert on that specific item the seller has, values it at what it’s worth based on a ton information, and the seller is like “nah you’re stupid it’s worth much more based on my 3 day experience and Wikipedia research”
The ultimate would be a duel between 2 experts. One for the seller and one for the shop. Dueling experts is the penultimate negotiation.
The "expert" gets paid by the shop. So you cant really trust them
The "expert" gets paid by the shop. So you cant really trust them
3:42 And now the strength test. To see how you much your blade is worth I’m going to be bashing it into this set of antique armor.
"You had to have this sword if you were a top tier player"
You couldn't even get frostmourne tho
That foo got it mixed up with Shadowmourne!
That would be an awkward fight with Arthas. He just standing there like an unarmed fool taking a beating of the millennium
Just the way they talked about WoW was... bad. I'd explain it like this - do you know Dungeons and Dragons? think that, just in a videogame, and legally distinct from it. and it's massively multiplayer so you have 100s and 1000s of people playing on the same server, doing the same quests, some together and some not, etc.
They made it sounds like WoW was.... well, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
Yeah whoever did the research for that part of the show dropped the ball.
ok nerd
I love it when Chum starts slinging knowledge. Everyone is confused
2:00 the lady with the blue purse walks that way, then next scene she’s still where she was prior.
them stupid editors
chumlee: "mind if i look at it?"
guy: "yes"
chumlee still looks at it
He meant yes, go ahead. Stupid use of language. It's like when people say "I could care less" without thinking about the figure of speech.
😂😂😂
@@VndNvwYvvSvv can u shut up like i only commented this as a joke not for u to take it seriously
Wow. Things are getting serious in here. ^
The expert for the frostmourne clearly never played World of Warcraft. "People who can't get this in game want it as a memorabilia to hang on their walls" You can't get this in game you chum.
Had to look way too far for this, they could've just read the Wikipedia entry on this thing and be better informed.
Chum: How much of a nerd do you think I am?
Also Chum: Frostmourne hungers!
RickL: so what do you want for it?
Customer: Lowest i can go is $3000
Rick: i'll give you 4 sticks of Winterfresh gum, and Chumlee.
Chumlee is not worth that much, better throw in a Snickers, too!
Lolol
dana is just ballin man 😂 dude can literally buy them all at regular price like it’s nothing to him
I loved the episode where Rick buys the Frostmourne sword and becomes the Pawn Lich King.
They really do got good stuff that comes in, even if it is set up. Was fun to watch. Great video
22:21 shorty in the back had some cake
PreparedCrab 180 swearrrrr lol was looking for this comment

its to pay rent at his moms and get a switch with animal crossing
and it was sold once for 20k in an auction i mean does this man know google
Legit saw the sword for $250 at a con haha
@@LumiCraft maybe a bad replica?
I love how they just show the blonde bomb shell browsing at an item as davey walks in in the background
One pet peeve I've always had with Rick. When you shake someone's hand you look em in the eyes. Common curtesy
Courtesy and traditional greetings vary from culture to culture, but I think his son is even more disrespectful than Rick.
No more shaking hands anymore! Best thing the Coronavirus did...no more boogerhands reaching out to you lol!!
JAlex1978 there is a person in One Piece that picks his nose and flicks his booger at you that can explode
He probably feels bad about shortchanging people so often.
In some cultures it’s disrespectful to look someone in the eye.
OMG the Samurai swords speak for themselves even till today...even in a layman's eyes
Rick: you had your sword redone. That really brings down the value.
Also Rick: i just had this sword redone now its worth 4x as much.
True but not true he really didn't redo the sword at all he just sent it to Japan to have experts polish it, fixed the handle, and had a whole new sheath made but still had the older sheath. plus it had proof that it dated back to a family. most people just replace everything and have no proof where it came from.
" we gonna bury the hatchet n go clubbing?" XD even the guy couldn't help but laugh
I want to see 34 rare books
i think i know why 😉
''I want to see 34 different looks on Rebecca"
YES!
Ervan D S why does everyone simp over Rebecca? Like she’s pretty but she not the best if we’re just going off looks alone
@@lunchtable1381 It's not about looks. I love books and she's super knowledgeable. She's also really likeable.
I love watching these for the history of the items alone.
Hi! Thanks for being a #PawnStars fan!
@@PawnStars lmfaoo
So at first he doesn't even know what a dragoon is, and then suddenly he knows the whole history of Napoleon's dragoons?
And the way he said 'exiled' was a little off like he hadn't ever said the word before ha
More like he said that as a joke, and it appears to have gone miles above your head.
And that if they used a 13 inch foot he would still only be 5 foot 6
@@LordMaxwellx ah yes, Chumlee - master of the spoken word. Considering the elaborate manner with which he weaves the complex tapestry that is his everyday speech, could you truly blame anyone for failing to understand? Perhaps you could explain the joke to us? Please??

Rick: Best I can do is 250.

30:54 Middle Eastern swords during the medieval period were actually very similar to European swords, though usually a bit narrower in width.
Mike Yamasaki really knows his subject, it's a delight to hear his explanation. So different from the other scam artist that the show kept bringin as an "expert" ....
Mike Yamasaki is a true historian. His intense knowledge and unending respect for the human factor is unprecedented.
The last episode of pawn stars I watched was 2 years ago and at that time chum was a newbie..but now he has grown into sort of an expert.
