Thanks for your helpful video. I bought a bunch of essential oils 6 months ago to help make my home smell nice & then found out that a lot of them are harmful to cats. (I have 2.). At Christmas I had a Bath & Body Works Wallflower in the scent called Chocolate Peppermint Cream. Peppermint essential oil is a big no-no around cats. My cat was sleeping on the back of the recliner that was next to the Wallflower and fell off of the chair (didn't land on his feet at all) and could not use his back legs. He tried to jump in my lap and could not & could barely walk. After taking him out to the screened-in porch for fresh air, he quickly recovered, but it was caused by essential oils. So now I have all of these Wallflowers that I am not using! The point I'm trying to make is if someone has a cat, they should do research before using essential oils. Scents like cinnamon, clove, tree tea, citrus, peppermint, & eucalyptus are poisonous to cats. I guess I'll use the essential oils I bought as an air freshener for my vehicle. I bought an old-fashioned sugar dispenser (jar with holes in the lid) at Dollar Tree. I put baking soda in it & mixed in several drops of essential oils. (I used lemon & peppermint.) That sits in a back seat cup holder. My son said it made my vehicle smell nice. The cats don't go in the vehicle, so I can safely use the oils there. Have a good weekend & try to stay inside and safe!

I love me some essential oils! I swear by tea tree oil! Every time my kiddos get sick I diffuse it despite the smell! Peppermint for headaches and lavender for sleep and peace!! They last forever!! ThaNks for this video!! 🥰

I discovered it a couple months ago , I use it to clean my makeup brushes (when I remember lol ) and I have even made diluted hand soap with lemongrass oil ! So many good tips! I use Bronner’s Castile soap (diluted of course) as a pest control for milkweed bugs and aphids on my milkweed plants outside. You just mix it with water in a squirt bottle, spray it on the bugs! It’s an amazing soap!

The hand sanitizer in those bottles do work. I make it all the time. The trick is you want 3/4 of the bottle to be alcohol and 1/4 aloe gel then add your essential oils. Please try it again. It’s great!

Since its hard finding cleaners and hand sanitizer they are looking for ways to make their own. Maybe add a disclaimer stating your video in no way has recipes to fight these germs? Love your DIYs please stay safe hugs and prayers to you and your family 💖
You’re right. We have to make disclaimers for everything right now. I’ve been doing essential oil videos for over a year on my channel now. But I guess I’m going to have to start. Thanks so much ❤️❤️
One tip I learned was if you add a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol with your essential oils, and mix them together, it helps the oils to not separate. I do this when I make my own toner. I've not tried it when carrier oils are used but for the cleaners you made it would work well.
PLEASE PLEASE watch labmuffinbeauty video on hand sanitizers. She is a chemist with a PhD. Your hand sanitizer will not be effective against viruses. I understand that people like to do things differently, but if someone uses this recipe to protect from COVID-19 and goes to pick up groceries....... It won’t kill the virus on their hands if they come in contact with it. I know you don’t intend to put people at risk, and I’m not being critical or negative. I love your videos!
@@KristinKay I totally agree girl!!! Nothing better than good old fashioned soap and water for 20 second(I sing the alphabet slowly)😂And it washed the germs and viruses down the drain. Don't touch your face if you do go out!!
Essential oils should be used with extreme caution around your pets. Please before you use them do your homework. Some are extremely toxic to your fur babies.

I have been using essential oils for a long time. With all that's going on with the virus. I'm using my defuser to get rid of the gunk in the air. That's so much for this tutorial I think is very useful.

I ordered also and it wasn’t essential but it just took a little longer! I had to have beads🤣 and reverse flash/flash for my son! Easter bunny is bringing it, cant go look in stores so I took a chance! Whoo hoo!

My daughter has done several sanitizers for us. She uses a lot of eucalyptus. She even made Thieves Oil that was believed to protect from virus in the past. She read abt it.

My mom used Castile soap when I was young. She always pronounced it as cas-steel.

Yes I have done all my homework with what I can and can not use around my dog. We are very cautious about that
Yes tea tree oil is very toxic to dogs!
Yes. If taken orally. There is many dog shampoos etc with tea tree oil. It does help with dry skin for them.
But it is also toxic for humans as well if taken orally.
the alcohol is what kills the germs so it's a must as a sanitizer to kill viruses/germs but otherwise great tips!

Yes some are. Simply earth is a lot reasonable than many companies. But you have to do what is in your budget. ❤️
