The Magnums were introduced last decade, so OK then. On other hand, what about 2100 series new generation Axial Flows? They were introduced two years before these MX Maxxums. Good as these tractors are, I'd vote the new combines a greater new product introduction of the decade through 1997.
These MX Maxxums were the best CaseIH product to come from Case legacy. (Actually by this time, they were the only product in the whole line from Case legacy, tractors or otherwise. All the rest was IH legacy.) It's a shame they couldn't keep these after the New Holland merger instead of New Holland's mid-size line.

I actually have a tape of the NH merger announcement and somewhere in the pile here
