Totally like your idea. You helped answer a question on what to do for my Eastcape Fury. I need that extra space back there for my phone, binoculars, procure etc....
Jon really enjoy your videos. I do have recommendation or maybe a request. Most of us will never reach your level , A more simple approach for people like me. A pattern for the four seasons, spring, summer ,fall and winter where you can still catch a mess of those great eating speckled trout. The equipment, the bait ,the place, the tide, the pattern. I really like the fish hard ,life is short approach to living. Thanks R.Hosey
beautiful boat bud I miss my john boat we had got stolen other day broke my kids heart man they love fishing in backwaters only had the boat less then a week this is my dream boat one day ill save enough for another small boat for my kids
I've always enjoyed Jon's video. The videos are based on experience, science, and personal knowledge, unlike some other fishing videos which peddle a product or are amateurish. Hopefully we'll see another video soon?
Jon Miller wanted te Tohatsu because of price and I’ve been hearing good things about their mid range outboards getting better but it was 6 months back order. I’m going with a 60 Suzuki, I’ve also heard they are getting better. What’s your thoughts?
@@briancooper314 The 60 hp is perfect on the boat. I've become a Honda fan but lots of people are running Suzuki these days, so might be seeing more of them in the future.

Hi Jon, been really enjoying your videos. I REALLY like that Cayenne. Have a couple of questions: I read a review of it sliding at WOT. Has this happened to you? Do you have a jackplate? Do you recommend one?? Is that a 4 cycle motor? If so, does it plane out quickly? How fast do you go? Any negatives about the boat?
I wouldn't describe it as sliding, but at WOT, which is 35 mph with my Honda 60 hp and current prop, it can get squirrelly. I don't have a jack plate and I have the engine on the next to highest hole. At WOT and the engine almost out of the water, there isn't much to guide the boat, so it's understandable that it could get squirrelly. In my opinion this is just a tradeoff for the advantages a shallow water hull provides. I imagine if I had a jack plate and dropped the engine all the way down it wouldn't be squirrelly. I don't think I would get much benefit from a jack plate because I have the engine so high already, and I don't run at WOT. The Honda 60 is a 4 stroke engine. The boat planes quickly. If I want to jump up immediately I drop the trim tabs down. The Cayenne is a great fishing boat and can be used in a wide range of water conditions. One comment, which relates to my last statement, is that it's not designed to be a racing boat and will not handle like a racing boat in cornering, WOT, etc.
I've been very happy with the new 60 hp Honda. I had an older 50 hp Honda that was a terrific running machine, but the newer systems and the 10 extra hp are a noticeable improvement.
I used the 3M-Marine Grade Silicone Sealant. I have used the 5200 elsewhere but for this spot I didn't. I was afraid of sticking it down to tightly to the deck in the event I need to remove the grab bar.

Well thought out solution to your problem, great job. I like the box too.
Thanks 👍

Super slick glove box. My Cayenne is getting built right now, i might build one of those boxes
Nice choice. What engine are you installing?

Jon Miller Can’t go wrong with Honda. I’m itching to get my boat so bad. Gonna be fishing the 10k islands a lot in it. I miss that place.
The 10k Islands sound awesome! Lol, the waiting period can seem like forever but it’s worth the wait for a custom, hand laid boat.
Hey Jon , been waiting for another video. There always interesting! Hope you’re doing well .
Hello Jon I hope all is well will you be posting any more videos ? I do miss your great content even though I fish in al .

What boat cover are you using?
Nice work Jon. What sealant did you use on the feet? 3M 5200?

Sweet lol set up 👍
