I have personally witnessed repairs like this in 3rd world countries. These folks are very professional and committed to their profession and can usually fix or repair anything. It isn’t the cleanest environment but they will do their best. Many of these folks do not have schooling or a professional trade school, yet they learn from their coworkers and family. Awesome work guys!
Hands on training with the help of experienced mechanics/technicians. Very hard to learn skills like these in U.S. on your own these days. Without trade school or a mentor, the internet and diving in yourself is only real option. That's how I did it.
That's why they're stuck in this rut of doing everything wrong and backwards...they learn from the other guy that did everything wrong and backwards. It's a vicious cycle and they're too dumb, careless, and primitive to step out of it.
So many people don't understand that there are places where you have to find a way to fix what you have because you can't go to a local parts house and get a new part in a few days. The other problem is when you can't afford the part or the shipping. When you live in a back corner of nowhere, parts availability dictates what you have to do to make what you have work.
Would you send your children to school in a bus, knowing that it has been repaired in this way?, in Europe the mechanic and the person authorising such a vehicle would go to prison!
Not everyone in the world needs or can afford big brother looking over their shoulder. I’m betting this isn’t the first time they have done this repair and they gained knowledge of what works and what doesn’t over time repairing axles that go under the most overloaded trucks in the world. You can’t keep a customer happy when your work doesn’t work and these guys look like they have been in business for a while.
As rough as their work environment is, there is nothing shoddy about their ability to make major repairs such as these. Given that you saw very few "technical tools" and what they do use are very rudimentary measuring devices their level of work is superb. Thanks for sharing.
Labor is cheaper than new parts, so this type of repair is done every day. In the states, if this axle broke again and hurt anyone, the shop which performed such a repair would be sued until the company was financially ruined, which is why new parts are installed not repaired. I assume there is no legal recourse in these countries if the axle does break again and does hurt someone.
Really, and God forbid the broken off part hits someone or another vehicle. They don't realize they weakened the bearing portion of the axle by boring the whole
Sometimes you do what you have to do and that is what these guys are doing. They obviously have dealt with a broken axle before if they are doing what their doing. At least they aren't scared to tackle something everyone says no to. The truck has dual axles so all the load isn't 100 percent on this axle.
Wow of all the dodgy repairs these blokes have done, this has to be the worst.. the dowel they put in has full thickness metal where the break happened but at the ends that huge dowel has heaps less metal than the original .. if they are going to weld an axle they should use a much smaller dowel so there's more thickness of metal.. i guess they think it'll be ok because when it breaks a week later, it'll break in a different spot to this time because of where they put a major weak point in at the end of that oversized dowel
ils sont courageux , mais travaillent dans des conditions déplorable , aucun sécurité , ils aiment le marteau , ils auraient simplement une déboulonneuse à air comprimé ou batterie , cela leurs faciliterait le travail est surtout moins de peine
I can't watch no more of this channel they're welding a axle that thing will break as soon as enough pressure and torque is put on it and axle is a part you find used are you by no you cannot weld a damn axle back together I can't take this channel serious now

Never better said. Sometimes you have to go with what you can get, and these drivers need to be driving as much as possible.

Nice repair👍
Just how overloaded was this truck?
Стружку голыми руками не останавливая станка...... Руки они тоже умеют делать в соседнем ангаре??
Probably
truck owner after repair: I'll be back. They don't understand weight limits.
TREMENDOUS WORK AND EFFORT, BUT I IMAGINE THAT TRUCK IS GOING TO PUT IT IN A MUSEUM FOR EXHIBITION ONLY.
Everything so perfectly measured. All you have to do is squint at the perfect angle and it all lines up like it just came out of the factory.
I like the trucks painted in rainbow colors and that the employees are allowed to wear dresses.

How could a 6 inch axle break, was the truck grossly overloaded - of course it was.
Good work 👍

Oh they've tackled a few axles before. Probably this exact one five or ten times 😂
Such a heavy truck jacked up on two thin trunks and not further secured - ohohh. 🤐
The other rear axles and tires are still on the ground to hold the truck up. The jacks and wood were just holding up the suspension, I think.
Anyone explain what a ratchet is and what it does and how to use? Guess not
I would guess by that brown rusty spot on the axle it's been crack for quite awhile .
top workmen ! prima and perfect !!!😊😊😊

For such a repair in Europe you would go to jail !!!
LOL in europe you dont repair you throw stuff away. In Europe you can go to jail for many things, even speaking the truth.
This axle needs to be replaced… the repair work they did won’t last as it is too much weight that axle has to bear
Good job

Most axles are built for 10 ton max. Don't exceed that and it will never brake..
Best lesson, never get near a truck in these countries.
