    hi Somjit, is it a vax paper? i like this recipe! thanks friend : )

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 роки тому +3

      Hi November Sky, thanks for the comment :) It's similar to wax paper - but I would recommend getting baking paper (or parchment paper) as wax paper can smoke in high temperatures. It's the same type of paper used when baking in the oven 😄

    Hi, may I know what if I cook without using baking paper on my pan? Will my fish mess up?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Emma Teoh, thank you for the comment 😃 In my experience, grilling fish with stainless steel pans tends to cause the fish to be stuck to the pan. This would affect the appearance of the fish.
      I would suggest to line the pan with a sheet of banana leaf as an alternative 😃 The banana leaf may burn a little, but the fish will be very aromatic and delicious. Hope it helps 😃

      Hi Pryn Cooking, thank you for the comment 😄 Actually, this fish is also not very common in Malaysia as well, as it's from Japan. I was able to buy it from a specialized Japanese frozen food store nearby 😄

      Saba fish is usually sold in Japanese food stall on a hot plate and a lime for you to squeeze into.

    Don't you have to put oil to fry fish

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  3 роки тому

      Hi Lilian Ng, thank you for the question 😄 For this recipe, we don't need to put oil as it's pan-grilled, which is similar to grilling with charcoal. I would suggest to use silicone paper before grilling though as the fish tends to get stuck on the pan 😄

      Hi Darwin Jose Seville, thank you for the comment 😀 Oops, you are right - a slip of the tongue. What I mean to say, is the fish's flesh is still quite delicate and soft; as though it was fresh. 😀
