    A tip for cutting access holes in drywall (regardless of using whatever kind of knife/saw/blade) - make your cuts at a slight angle pointing inwards. This way, when you put the cut piece back in the hole, it sits nicely, and won't fall back through and down inside the wall cavity.

    • @Bacrenfencing
      @Bacrenfencing  3 роки тому +32

      Thanks LS, That is a good tip. I usually just cut the top and the sides and sort of use the uncut bottom as a hinge - that way, it can be pulled back and just hangs from the wall and can easily be pushed back in place without removing it.
      I like your tip though, I will start to use that when doing this from now on 👍😃

    If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!

    I just wanted to say how much you helped me with this video. Thank you so much! It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I needed to know. I’m a older woman recently widowed and I moved into a house that needs a great deal of work, most of which I am attempting to do myself. My husband and I used to always fix up our homes together and while he was no Norm Abrams, he was well versed in using power tools. Sadly I am not and my lack of power tool knowledge has made my progress quite slow, so I decided to research the best tools to use and the multi tool was at the top of the list but to me looked like something so foreign and scary I couldn’t imagine what it could possibly do. But your video made it so very clear and concise I feel really quite confident about getting one now. Thank you for the extra steps you take in your videos for the complete novices like me who have no idea what so ever what there doing, I really appreciate it so very, very much. 😁

    Cool. Used my Dewalt 20v max tonight to replace an old drain tail pipe (thick chromed steel) on bathroom sink. It was the kind that screwed together from top and bottom and also has a nut on bottom to pull assembly down tight. It was all corroded and crusty. Popped in the fine tooth blade and cut it off just below the nut, unscrewed nut, and pulled out old assembly. The PVC replacement was about 3/4" too long, so I just used the tool again to cut about an inch off the end. I'm in love.

    As a mechanic by trade I'm buying into carpentry kit for a house renovation. Great video I definitely want one because this Multi tool belongs in mechanics kit aswell! So many bolts and hidden parts I have needed to cut! With an angle grinder it's dangerous and difficult! This is perfect for many bolt cutting jobs. e.g. stubborn drop link bolts that just spin freely with nothing on the rear to counter that. Just slip this in and cut free! Brilliant tool.

      The blades don't hold up well against grade 8 hardware. Tried Milwaukee carbide lasted about 20 seconds didn't make it through the bolt. Cheap harbor freight carbide blades did as well. Took a total of 7 blades to cut the heads off of two bolts. It has worked great for making new interior panels for the shuttle bus, had a few odd shapes to notch out.

    • @E69apeTheMatrix420
      @E69apeTheMatrix420 2 роки тому

      @@craigwiess1656 I found the exact same thing! literally can't go through a standard nail and if you do then the blade is completely knackered! Some random attachments could come in handy like the sander but mostly useless for mechanics I know now after using one a lot I take back my statement. Also I keep the diamond masonry bit in my angle grinder for metal now. It's way better than the sand paper grit type! I had one break on me the last time and it skimmed my face and the other bit my hand! I felt it but came out unscathed luckily! Ive never needed the recip saw for mechanics yet but its nice to know it's there😉 multi tool kind of over rated to me at this point. Maybe it will show its worth in 2nd fix and finish work more but ime still in the rebuild process! House renovation taking ages!

    I work under suspended flooring a lot so usually cut a hatch in the floorboards on the joists. Used to use a circular saw but that’s too messy and easy to damage the boards.
