I just love the world that they have built into this film.
This guy is Queer as a three-dollar bill the guy hosting the monster movie show they would have never had this man on television in the 70s which is right they shouldn't have all these queers on TV they do now but that's the only part I don't like about this
They need to do a follow up, surely?! 😈
@@ThanksChris yes they definitely do I think part 2 should have Jack Delroy somehow didn't go to jail for doing this that he didn't actually stabbed that girl he thinks he did but it was actually the demon putting that in his head or Satan and make a part 2 where he gets his show back
We want so much more of Jack Delroy! David has put 100% into this performance 😊
david takes to every role he's given, but my god was he born to play jack. 11/10 promotion from IFC
Its only a matter of time before Dastmalchian wins an Academy Award.
I would have been a devoted viewer of “Night Owls with Jack Delroy”
Me too. I would've watched him over Carson.
Me too
Right?! I legitimately like the dude and think he’s a decent person. If only he had accepted when Minnie was making contact through Christou.
I love the "Oh! Calcutta!" reference. They built such a solid universe/vibe for this movie
I did too!
This is like a little prequel to the movie "Late Night With The Devil".
Was this improvisation? So good. I was a kid in the 70s and this nails what television was like back then.
Same. They did it so perfectly. I kept expecting Dom DeLuise or Burt Reynolds to walk out. When I own the movie I plan to make a cut of it adding actual 77 commercials in instead of the behind-the-scenes stuff just so I can see it like an actual show.
@@mechachrist Hahaha. Dom was always a great guest.
This is so cool, not going to lie though I thought the Skeleton costume was going to show up in this audience as well lol.
That skeleton dude and the one in the devil costume definitely stood out, gave the creepy vibe good.
I think the skeleton dude was just a red herring, but yes it would have been great if he showed up here. Could be a dude who loves Halloween and is attending all the network shows. Could be part of an evil cult trying to trick a late night tv host into murdering a girl live on tv as a means to bring about Satan’s reign on earth. 🤷♂️
I appreciate the intentional flubs and audio mistakes. Gives a sense of authenticity.
I saw this last week a day before it was supposed to be released. He freakin nailed it ! 70s talk show host I highly recommend watching it and please go see it at night
Where did you see it ans how?
@@thisisagtv it's still being played in theaters!
The first film I saw David Dastmalchian in was The Dark Knight. He was only in one scene against two big name actors and absolutely outshone them. I thought, who is this guy? That scene told me that this guy was gonna make it as an actor.
He didn’t have a speaking role and it’s a 16 year old film , you really think he outdid the Batman and Harvey dent ?? This must be the joker lol
@@davonjones834 in that particular scene, I kind of agree...
@@davonjones834 Watch that scene again, watch David's eyes. He's 100% in the character, back when I first saw it in theaters, I had just assumed he was an established actor in a cameo I wasn't familiar with. It's awesome to see him keep working with Nolan and now Villeneuve and now leading his own film.
@@davonjones834Thomas Schiff was a speaking role. But he stammered due to suffering from a pseudobulbar affect and had difficulty getting out words during Harvey Dent’s coin flip interrogation.
I wonder if Dastmalchian’s decision to give his character that specific neurological disorder to be unable to control laughing or crying influenced the Joaquin Phoenix Joker.
I'm about to comment the same too, i realized him for the first time in the dark knight in the shooting scene 😄 what a remarkable career honestly
I've lived and breathed horror since I was 8, so 41 years of numbing my brain had me wanting something special to come along. The Void helped. The Autopsy of Jane Doe helped, too. This movie, though... it's just done so well it's now among my favorite films ever. The story isn't pioneering anything, really, but it doesn't matter. It isn't like anything else out there.
Autopsy of Jane do was really
Good!
Have you watched Mike Flanagan’s stuff?
This … is …AMAZING!!!! Such a mind F**k!!! David was soooo on point. Feels very Improvised which is even more amazing credit to David’s Acting skills!
Really love everything the team behind this film is doing, and also shoutout to IFC films with their online prescence and how they support their films!
This reminds me of the late night shows I watched late at night as a kid.
the promotion stuff for this movie is amazing. This film is becoming an experience. Daniel Dastmalchian is gonna blow up after this. hes a great actor that deserves the success.
David
@@priscilajunger7223 Oh ... sorry ... Daniel David is gonna blow up after this ...
What other stuff is there promoting it
This is awesome! I love David Dastmalchian.
As someone from Berwyn this is some fucking awesome lore
I loved this! It gives us insight into Jacks character. They way he talks and moves he seems like he's trying so hard to be liked. Even the way he gives away the mug at the end makes me think he's someone desperate to get people to like him.
He's right. The movie Sentinel is vastly underrated!
I don’t think I’ve ever had a movie shake me to the core like this one did
When you can’t tell if this was part of promos or part of the movie
This movie is going above and beyond. One of my favorites ever. What an incredible experience
Saw this movie twice in theaters its so good! The theater was packed during it's second week out! Wider release!!!
I'm from Uruguay been wanting to watch this movie but I can't find it anywhere. Should have released worldwide on theaters. Such an original concept.
I seen an article that it will be on demand around 3rd week of April. They just released in to theaters a few weeks ago.
Should be April 19th, 2024 for digital release.
It’s a very independent movie, very little money behind it, and even less so promotion wise, it’s really been the fans that have been getting the word out
@@Jprager I'm just happy to see David Dastmalchian in a lead role, I also find the concept very intriguing and original for a possesion type movie. I get that it's independent and it's a shame but still really excited to see it when it comes out on digital.
This would make a pretty cool special feature whenever they release this on physical media
So cool! They should have put this out before the films release.
Yeah, a few pre movie videos. I'm trying to remember a show or movie doing that before it actually premiered.
@@greenytaddict The Blair Witch Project had a website with audio/video and a Sci-Fi Channel mockumentary before it was released.
This is a cool promo for the movie.
I heard Berwyn like on Svengoolie 😂
This movie was absolutely amazing. I really loved that they built characters and a world and made it something you could connect with. I don't know how it would work but I hope we get a sequel with Jack Delroy... Or a Night Owls show for real? lol
This is brilliant. The 70s audio, visuals effects, the small 25 people audience. It’s perfect
He’s a better host than Kimmel, Colbert, Meyers, and all those other jerks combined.
I love this film so much. The theater I saw the film in was packed which really surprised me and made me more excited to see the film
david dastmalchian you will always be famous
David was amazing as Jack and I loved his performance I just watched it on shudder last night and it's one of the best horror movies I've ever seen David definitely deserves to be in more lead roles! I honestly think that this was his best film he has done!
Saved for later. Can’t wait to watch this 😮
Me to
This is GREAT!👏🏼🎃👏🏼
I really think that Jack Delroy can have an adventure series. Aftermath somewhat. Very Satan fueled. Very parascientific with whatever the sky makes possible!!!
Movie was so good! It would be interesting if they did another movie that delved into other parts of the overall story.
Having such a massive crush on David Dastmalchian as this character makes me feel like a housewife in love with the weatherman.
Please release internationally in Asia!
Awesome! I'm hungry for gummy worms, though.
Oh, God. I had to cover my eyes at the worms. IYKYK.
Ifc 3rd comment. You guys nailed it producing this one. So unique, which is a giant breath of fresh air in this plastic Era. Late night with the devil 2 please.
I am so playing this for Halloween!
I hate how it barely is releasing on any streaming platforms. And the ones that it is it's barely known
It will be on Shudder April 18th and it's out in theaters near me right now!
I've never heard of that shit in my life. I've heard of every single other streaming platform except "shutter"@@SkorgeSlaps
Usually don't like horror sequels, but WE NEED the story to continue. Every character NAILED their parts, just enough info to allow us to scare ourselves with crazy possible explanations. BEST MOVIE IVE SEEN IN YEARS. Then ending is one wtf? After another.
Lilly was creepier normal then as the demon.
It's things like this that make me feel like this whole film and it's marketing has been made just for me. ☠️ 🎃 👻
Oh Calcutta! Is this the night he met Minnie?
Why is this movie so hard to find/watch?
When James Randis stand in started melting was crazy. Abracadabra.
🎉🎉
❤
0:00 I thought that said ABC tv
The Sentinel is top 10 1970s Horror.
Preach!!!
where is the real footage?
Berrrrrwyyyyn?!
😆
Probably goes harder if you haven’t seen the movie yet.
Meta for the win.
So is this acually in the film or is it a publicity stunt?
sequel...trilogy!!!
One of the most boring movies ever
Try something more your speed, like happy feet, or maybe soul plane!
