    Looks like good practice to wear a safety mask to protect eyes and face, when snipping the spines!

    Need to get ready for bed, but this video popped up! So I’ll just have 8:43 less sleep lol. Sacrifices we make for great channels on UA-cam. Great job Kevin and Rodrigo!

    Why do you clip them ?

  • @briandavid1254
    @briandavid1254 3 роки тому +1

    Hey guys try this, take your clippers and put a small bead of make-a-gasket in the valley of the clippers. After it dries use a razor to cut it down the middle, the rubber will hold the spines so they don't go flying. Works great for wire or toe nails. Love the vids.🙂

    hi kevin, in thailand when they retrieve ray from the wild for research they tend to wrap the tail with towel etc. so they can proceed to take measurement n bloid sample without gettimg hurt. maybe you can try doing that for shipment . wrap it using bandage or old clothing etc. that way u wont need to clip the sides except for the main one.

    Does the large stinger grow back over time?

    • @rajgill7576
      @rajgill7576 11 місяців тому

      Yea ofc. It can break in the wild so it's always growing and resharpening itself like a cat nail

    Best way to get a stingray out of the tank is to aggressively grab the tail and thrash in an threatening mannor, this way you can get the barb out the same time..it works great!! Best to have your face as close as possible to the tail when doing this.
    Stay tuned for more great wildlife advise.

    Leave them.alone in their home they are not trinkets for peoples tanks. If people want to save the ocean they need to stop the trade in the creatures that live in it.
