The band who played this song are unknow today. But this music will always stay in my heart. I played roadkill when i was young on this song! Amazing remembering
i was able to play this song in my cars cd player and i cranked up the volume and i noticed when i was near a bus stop, some of the people were jammin to the song.
I always thought if they make a Twisted Metal movie, which they really need to do, they should use some of these original songs in the soundtrack. I can totally see a kick ass action scene happening with this playing in the background.
I'm an 80's fan, I love the 80's!! But I was not around the 80's. I was born In the 90's (around 94). Though, this song free way free for all is my favorite! Love how it sounds SO 80's hair/glam metal-like. I totally jam out to this song!
I'm the same way of you Gabe. I'm from 90 but I love so much 80's. The 90's is pretty cool too. I love a lot soundtracks from movies and games from these times.
Musically, I felt that 1 was my favourite. There was a track for everybody, and they included lost of different types of instruments. Take this track for example, Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, heavy Bass, it's got everything, and feels really upbeat while still retaining a threatening vibe.
I believe so, but they changed it after they removed the ending movies, since Calypso said "High Octane" in them. I may be wrong on the latter, but one of the names was High Octane
Twisted Metal 1 has by far the most actual 'metal' ost of the series, even with Rob Zombie collaborating later on. This soundtrack is nothing but power riffs and drum rolls.
Everything was unrealistically bright and colorful in this game, I think it was to look good on old CRT TVs like other games back then. I used to wonder why the roads were pale yellow.
I say..... HELLL TURN IT UP 11!!! SO IM ROCKING! YOUR ROCKING TOO!!! No wonder when I was little I always 80s Glam / hair metal muisc!! I just love to jam out to this song! Though I never actually played twisted metal.
@FoxeyeValkyrie No, Twisted Metal was called High Octane. It was changed to avoid any issues with Bullfrog Entertainment, who made a game called Hi-Octane a little while earlier. Twisted Metal has no relation to Death Race.
@FoxeyeValkyrie Actually Death Race existed b4 Twisted Metal it was a 1975 "Cult" Film the new Death Races are remakes (which seem 2 be better than the original) there was a 1976 game which was inspired for the movie but it was on one of those arcade consoles. Twisted Metal was inspired by it tho but was greater & more badass than the 75 movie & the 76 game
@FoxeyeValkyrie I'm sorry bro, but Twisted Metal was originally called "High Octane". In some of the Twisted Metal 1 endings Calypso even refers to the competition as "High Octane".
this is one to jam to. anywhere. now that i have the original game disc, all i need is a car with a cd player and ill be all set! damn, soon, VERY soon they will hear me coming!
I named my Insurgent Minion & My Phantom wedge Darkside & not only do i think David jaffe plays gta online but inspired its content. Also if he could remake god of war for modern gen he could go back to Twisted Metal 1 & 2 and retell the story in one game game giving players every car up to that point.
also one of the things ive always wanted to do was play a song like this while in a muscle car and right when the music started id pop a monster wheelie, i think it'd be pretty awesome.
Really, I think the closest we'll have to Twisted Metal as a movie is the Death Race movies..since Twisted Metal was called Death Race before they had to change it due to copyright issues.
( music declined because the visual component was added ) this 8s an instrumental, so whatever parallels one draws....is devoid of lyrical distraction. It speaks for itself
The band who played this song are unknow today. But this music will always stay in my heart. I played roadkill when i was young on this song! Amazing remembering
Love the remix of this song in Small Brawl!
i was able to play this song in my cars cd player and i cranked up the volume and i noticed when i was near a bus stop, some of the people were jammin to the song.
Wow, were they really? 😆
I always thought if they make a Twisted Metal movie, which they really need to do, they should use some of these original songs in the soundtrack. I can totally see a kick ass action scene happening with this playing in the background.
Don't know if you still around, but Twisted Metal is getting a TV series!!!
@@purplejinxer3478 Yeah I heard. The premise for the show is a bit different from the game. But I'll give it a shot when it comes out.
Woah wat the-really?! Hopefully they dont screw it up. Yknow how movies based on games usually turn out. I have my hopes up tho
I'm hopeful for the TV show too.
But to OP's comment (from 2009): that's the kinda thing that would get the whole theater cheering
Fuck yea I concur sir..
What was Activision thinking when they did not put this song in Guitar Hero? The person that played this was genius!!!
One word: copyright
I'm serious, would love to play this.... even tho, I'd probably smash a guitar or two, before I aced it, LOL 😆
i love this song especially on "easy death oven" on TMSB
I'm an 80's fan, I love the 80's!! But I was not around the 80's. I was born In the 90's (around 94). Though, this song free way free for all is my favorite! Love how it sounds SO 80's hair/glam metal-like. I totally jam out to this song!
I don't think it sounds like hair or glam. but yeah, it's definitely 80's influence
+Gabe Tellez rock on dude!
I'm the same way of you Gabe. I'm from 90 but I love so much 80's. The 90's is pretty cool too.
I love a lot soundtracks from movies and games from these times.
\m/ \m/
@@NefariousDreary actually gabe is right it is an 80s *GLAM/HAIR BAND SONG* !!!
I love how this song is just so inspired by Hot for Teacher by Van Halen
*Nailed it!*
LlortorYT You could pass it off for a Boston track too. Id love to hear David Lee Roth too though!
There's also another song identical to this. I just can't for the life of me remember.
@@Cawshes wasn't that Satan -s.c.u.m.? Sounds very similar
@@Cawshes Easy Death Oven Twisted Metal Small Brawl?
Gotta love that kickass organ and guitar combo. Speaking of the organ, what exactly is it? It sounds like a Hammond B3.
Haven't heard this in probably 10 years. Just came into my head out of the blue.
2020... still waiting for a soundtrack like this to pump me up again.
The Doom soundtrack is pretty good
Try Postal Brain Damaged
@Jackie640: It's actually not the song for the Freeway level. It's the song for the suburb level.
Gentleman, meet your opponents
When I was younger it always made me happy that i could play the songs on any cd player or cd rom drive :)
Totally sounds like an early Boston song.
+STICH666 Smokin', maybe?
God i always thought i was the only one who thought this.
Musically, I felt that 1 was my favourite. There was a track for everybody, and they included lost of different types of instruments. Take this track for example, Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, heavy Bass, it's got everything, and feels really upbeat while still retaining a threatening vibe.
You forgot the organ, it sounds really cool, i think it's a Hammond B3
Definitely Eddie Van Halen influenced
TheVanHalendude1 Yeah sounds like VanHalen but that Organ is pure Deep Purple.
Shore dude! I agree with you! 👍🏼
RIP Van Halen!
This song always reminded me of a Van Halen Deep Purple music love child......one of my all time fav video game tracks.
In GTA V i named my insurgent minion.
In GTAV I styled my Infernus Classic after Crimson Fury :P
andrew Linares Lance Lenhart, I think.
APC=Minion
You can name your vehicles on GTAV?
Perfect Song for the freeway... i can just see Sweet Tooth Jammin to this while he's driving, XD
These tracks were nasty
My favorite song on my favorite level :D
I believe so, but they changed it after they removed the ending movies, since Calypso said "High Octane" in them. I may be wrong on the latter, but one of the names was High Octane
That is some lovely sounding guitar!
Darkside is f***ing Badass in this level
DAT BASS
I think of a colorful, wild, retrosleazy casino-setting whenever I hear this.
0:43
Need I say more?
Listening to this for the first time... happens to be exactly 11 years later lol
One of my favorite tracks from the game 👍
so fuckin good
Man I just love the twisted metal art work that they had on there game covers!
This matches with all the mayhem that goes with this game. 😂💕
Thumbs up for the drum rolls.
Freeway Free-For-All is a perfect title
Awesome 😎🔥🤟
Twisted Metal 1 has by far the most actual 'metal' ost of the series, even with Rob Zombie collaborating later on. This soundtrack is nothing but power riffs and drum rolls.
Yo Escuche esta misma Version en el Twisted Metal 5 Small Brawl :D , no sabia que existia este , Suena Genial.
The mullet is strong with this song
Everything was unrealistically bright and colorful in this game, I think it was to look good on old CRT TVs like other games back then. I used to wonder why the roads were pale yellow.
this sounds like a mix between boston and some other classic rock band i cant put my finger on it
I say..... HELLL TURN IT UP 11!!! SO IM ROCKING! YOUR ROCKING TOO!!! No wonder when I was little I always 80s Glam / hair metal muisc!! I just love to jam out to this song! Though I never actually played twisted metal.
Good morning Australia
Rock on twisted metal 💯💥🗯💣🔥🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻

I like the random screams of the AI humans getting run over as this song is playing
the guitar rift feom :58 was also in Bloody Roar 2
Cyburb Slide, i love it.
i could jam to this song all day long
original twisted metal is best twisted metal, soundtrack is also amazing. plenty of 80s rock & metal influences. like motorhead and van halen.
DEM Drums
That dude down there is right. This was "Cyburb Slide"
this is one to jam to. anywhere. now that i have the original game disc, all i need is a car with a cd player and ill be all set! damn, soon, VERY soon they will hear me coming!
somebody hacked a mw2 lobby once to play this throughout the match, that was the best day ever. too bad he got banned...
Love listening to this while doing a GTA Race or wreaking havoc in Free Mode.
I named my Insurgent Minion & My Phantom wedge Darkside & not only do i think David jaffe plays gta online but inspired its content. can you make a full video with all the soundtrack?
Mom can we get Van Halen
Mom: We have Van Halen at home
This Is Easy Death Oven From Twisted Metal Small Brawl!
@GlitchMasterz
all the music from the first two games could fit on 1 disc
:)
Killer!
@FoxeyeValkyrie Thought it was 'High Octane'.
@FoxeyeValkyrie what about Twisted Metal involves racing around a track? That's Death Race.
2:16 - 2:33
gave me chills
good luck with that bro
Easily the best bgm for that era
They brought this song into Small Brawl with little difference.
( music declined because the visual component was added ) this 8s an instrumental, so whatever parallels one draws....is devoid of lyrical distraction.
It speaks for itself
I have to use my PS3 until I get another laptop
Definitely reminiscent of "I'm the One"
Sounds like something that EVH produced :D
@GlitchMasterz They should do that.
i love their version of the stairway to heaven, but halfway it fails and falls to hell....lol
2:16 to 2:33, nuff said
reminds me of steve vai for some reason, sounds kinda like something out of crossroads honestly
I'm unfortunately unable to upload anymore videos since my desktop is shot and my laptop is on its last legs
I like easy deaths oven as well
Small brawl was good
I remember tabbing this song out by ear on my guitar as a teenager!
Reminds me of some George lynch licks
It was called high octane not death race =D
Eddie Van Halen would be proud
sounds like something from Van Halen
Almost gotta be Joe Satriani
@LPGivenUp19 So is Nascar :o
@HARVESTERFTW That's exactly what I thought!
How many of you out there think this sounds like Joe Satriani played it! Because I do! It sounds like his style of music.
RIP MegaUpload. Can we get another download link? MediaFire perhaps?
This song is is so sexy smooth I feel like I need to take a shower.
why can't they remake the classic 1,2 for ps3 ps4..? just like old resident evils. ..it would be badass grafix detail..same music lol
idk
I thought this was the wharehouse district song ?
They actually do need to make a Twisted Metal movie, not this 'Death Race' crap. Twisted Metal is the greatest!
sounds like a van halen song
