Inspired by a player I played against while testing another deck. They were chaining birthing ritual with thunderkin awakener, which was sick! Deck seems pretty good against Energy Decks, but I'm not sure about Omnitell matchup.
Thanks for bringing Risen Reef back, I loved to play that deck in Standard back in the day. I tried to make it work in Historic and Explorer, but it was just too slow. Now it's back in Timeless and stronger than ever, the Evoke Elementals really give it a strong punch and you are less prone to deck yourself with Endurance. I really love the variety of viable decks in Timeless!
I'm sorry if I'm missing something but why concede round 1 of game 4? he had a one ring with 2 burden counters and 6 life, unless he had a way to bounce it or copy it etc. there was no way you lost, plus any elemental off the top was a viable threat
Love the list! At some point, could you talk about your economics. Do you draft, put some dollars in quarterly (or only just yearly) or you are free to play after your initial investment?
@dragade101 I draft 1 or 2 a set, preorder packs. If I have to I buy more packs once every 2 sets or so. Mh3 I had to buy more packs than usual. But no more than extra 50 a set after preordering. I use most of my gold on packs.
@@Takobyte I get the temptation to buy boosters. Cause of the incidental value you are getting as well as the ability to have time to play with the cards upfront. If you are drafting >10 premium drafts per set (like I did 13 from thunder junction) and you average close to 4 wins, then you are getting enough set completion. [Unless its special guest cards - eg cards that will stay mythic or rare if they are released in a future set] That I have opened 91 boosters thus far from OTJ and have not needed by buy boosters directly. My experiences with getting golden packs is limited but I dont see the value in them (kind of similar feeling to drafting too much and only earning 20 to 40 gems per extra rare/mythic). However your value might be time-to-play-with-cards. That you need this upfront value on day 0. Hopefully WotC hooks content creators up with minimum amounts of boosters. Cause you are basically free advertising for MTGA.

Loved temur elementals back in the day, peaked around the time Locus of Creation was released and then banned/nerfed 😅

Awesome deck, unfortunately it costs close to 30 wild cards I don’t have hahah 😊
I guess you can't blame the Merfolk player for having three, zero mana interactions, given you also had three.
I wonder if this deck can be adopted for Historic, or without free elementals it simply isn't good enough?
