So true! There are so many fans (even large scale Taylor UA-camrs) that openly say she was being a super cringe fake little country girl stomping around in cowboy boots for attention, and wasn’t “real” until like Red. Debut was amazing music to come from a literal child. Debut TV is gonna end me.

Unfortunately, I think the only reason she did that was because it was an official cover and to truly devalue all her old work, she needs to recreate all her old work - even the covers if they were on official albums. I don’t think she’ll do that for things that don’t have any “monetary value” right now. :/
Her covers are all amazing too. I wish we got her cover of Bette Davis Eyes.

Dark blue tennessee in my opnion is one of her saddest songs she's written, honeslty gives me chills everytime I hear it and it always makes me think of forever winter and the similar themes there. just so so sad but so well done as a piece of art, both songs, and I really hope she releases it. It also gives me vibes of folklore and the storytelling aspect of the album of how well she writes from another point of view, looking into this relationship
Just love this song so much, the tune is so catchy and the whole production is just perfect for the lyrics
14:15 they also called castles crumbling one of the best songs as well and that’s why it will always be a song in my heart because we knew of it for so long and then speak now tv tracklist came!!

As a swiftie who joined the fandom during Covid, I needed this ❤😭 I can’t wait to here Debut TV, I seriously wonder is she’ll do the country accent……it would be wrong not to…….
My heart wants debut but part of me thinks we all will be disappointed. It’s hard because I love Baby Tay on Debut. Her imperfections is what made it so good tbh! Shes very critical of herself and you can tell shes very well vocally trained to this day. I’m afraid she won’t want to take that step back and have a little fun with it. I am hopeful maybe she has someone training her if she needs the help with a country accent again. Time will tell🙌🏼
I can confidently say I am the biggest Beautiful Eyes stan and I’m so glad we have the stripped version on Spotify bc I remember listening to it on the original ep. I’m begging Taylor to re-record that song for the vault 😩😩😩

I came on to youtube to research a, believe it or not, Taylor Swift themed craft project, then i saw Ally. I was instantly distracted.
relating to the video more, i will probably cry if lucky you, the first song Taylor wrote, was the last track on debut taylor's version
'You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home' makes so much sense as a vault track considering the Dorothy easter egg in the Karma music video, but it could just be a tie back to the 'my tears richochet' lyrics or other songs.
Can't wait for Debut TV! There is not really anything quite like country Taylor.

Thank you sooo much for giving soooooo much info about debut. I became a swiftie in the Red/1989 era but started listening to her in Fearless/Speak Now era. The only era I didn't really know much about is debut. This helped me a lot in understanding this era more. Now you have made soo much more excited for the Self-Titled(Taylor's Version).
