  • In todays video I go over the reasons why you should and should not daily a supersport motorcycle. When I say supersport Im referring to bikes such as: CBR 600RR, R6, ZX6R, R1, ETC. These bikes are notoriously known for being a dreaded daily. So in todays video I answer the question, Should You Daily A Supersport Motorcycle?

    600RR is very tame for a daily. Fuel gauge indicator and powerband at around 8k makes one of the best sports bikes for a daily. Perfect balance between performance and economy.

      Without riding another sport bike, I feel like I wouldn't want one without a fuel gauge. It's so handy

      gxr 600 even better I would say

      @@Rodolfowei12345 The GXR does not have a fuel gauge and the tank is wider by 1cm which makes the difference depending on rider height. Also, if considering a GSXR, I wouldn't recommend the 600 over a 750 and know many that go down that road and ultimately prefer the 750.
      I would still pick the 600RR over both.

    R6 2009 GSXR 2007 (2 units) and BMW S 1000 RR 2010(2 units), never had any pain, only on 10h rides...but ofc I think that's overkill for anybike....or after bike vacations of 5 days riding 4-5h a day....otherwise on 3-4 hours tours on the weekends never had any issue...the R6 from 2009 was the most uncomfortable but also was the first bike I had so maybe that had something to do....still think is the worst for long rides

      That makes sense man! Ive never been on rides over 3 hours quite yet but everyone I know complaines about these being uncomfortable after 10 mins. Although most of those people are old anyway😂

    100% agree i dont rly care about ergonomics as long as its not too extreame. I mean when i invest so much monry into a thing i like i want to turn at my bike and see the most beautiful thing in the planet. Looks metter a lot imo

      I agree. After riding on the aggresive stance of these bikes, Ive come to really like the way it handles. Like yes it has its pros and cons, but at the end of the day its your bike so always do what you want to it.

    Also I think Honda had dailying in mind when making this which was the sole purpose of fuel gauge lifted grips and shit like that

      I thinks it's super convenient having a fuel gauge a lot of people over look it.

    What gear are you usually in just commuting in traffic and what revs ? I’ve been trying to consider what would be the most comfortable in those departments cus hopefully I’ll be getting the same one in a week or so

    • @illusiversx
      @illusiversx  5 місяців тому +1

      Depends speed limits where you are. Most by me are 30-45mph. I usually stay in 3rd/4th in 30mph zones probably about 3/4k rpm. I'm usually in 6th gear anything over 40mph cruising. If you stay in the high rev range pretty sure anything over 8k rpm it sucks a lot more gas because then the other 4 injectors kick in but that depends on your throttle position and a lot of other stuff that tell them when to turn on. If it's gas mileage your worried about, I get on average 40mpg's beating the hell out of mine.

      @@Truhsty your best odds is not a sport bike then. They aren't fun in stop and go traffic. Smaller bikes would be better but no bike is really fun in stop and go traffic unless u can lane split

      @@illusiversx I appreciate that but not what I asked. It’s my odds. Just looking for insight on dealing with it from someone who has. I’m only concerned about it for my 15min work commute. Other than that I live in Florida. Big wide open roads usually. But my concern is for when I DO have to deal with the stop and go

    • @illusiversx
      @illusiversx  5 місяців тому

      @Truhsty if you only have a 15 min commute I wouldn't be worried about it then. I will say it does get hot sitting in traffic for long periods of time tho. What's your main concern? Comfortability? If so this bike in particular is not comfortable. I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question just keep asking until I get it right😂

    Don’t they do more than one lap in racing like isn’t a race an hr or so I’m new to bikes and in f1 races are at least an hr

    • @illusiversx
      @illusiversx  5 місяців тому

      Yes they are more than one lap. I don't watch moto gp that much but obviously with how much they push the bike refueling would be a lot more common. I'm talking track days for non professionals tho. People looking to get into a local track day these bikes are perfect
