Beautiful bike, I love the color, too. That is a great ramp for loading. I want to stop and watch when I see people trying to load a bike in a pick up using one 2x6 or 2x8 and stand to the side on the ground while using throttle to get it on the truck. Always good for a laugh. Haha. I would never use less than two big boards, one for the bike, and one for me to walk on. Nicely done, sir. If it doesn't show you, I just subbed. I'm pretty busy, so not much time to watch, but we all know that subs help, too. Y'all ride safe.
Really appreciate the support. A good wide ramp is a must. This one was from Black Widow. You definitely find some people doing some dumb stuff for sure. Stay safe man.
Very informative video. That ramp looks great. I have only loaded on a trailer (not motorcycle trailer ) and those are much lower, but it’s hard to handle the bike on the ramp when standing on the ground even if the trailer is low. And yes in my opinion the kickstand should be folded up so that the suspension can handle the bike. I have broken a kickstand when transporting a moped before I know better. (lessons learned).
Yeah. The ramp is a Black Widow product. Theoretically that kickstand would have never touched with the bike in the wheel chalk and tied down but I put it up anyhow, haha. Always nice to have three people to make putting it in no problem. A full time motorcycle trailer would be great but really have no need for one.
I have Tank Straps (see: SRK Cycles & Bikes and Beards) and Rhino Straps. I also have some cheaper Home Depot straps... and there's a huge difference. I won't tie down anything expensive with the Home Depot ones anymore, but I tested out the Rhino Straps in my trailer with one of my bikes. I recommend the captured S-hook ones, so if the front suspension compresses enough to allow the strap to fall out of the S hook, it can't. Other than that - good info & good video! Having had the rear (cheap) straps come loose while actually trailering one of my bikes... yeah, definitely not a good feeling. Don't cheap out on straps when you're hauling your expensive toys!
That definitely makes two of us, hahaha. I suspect there will be a more permanent second bike in the next year to year and a half but time will tell on that front.
Yeah...I've done some sketchy ride ups for sure. Have to be confident and committed...also helps to have a spotter...but at that point if you have enough muscle you can likely push so the solo ride up takes commitment!
I’m very tempted to buy a CB650R as a commuter bike and save the mileage on my XR, some very good deals going here in the UK. Hope the bike got home in one piece !!!
Awesome. My first car was a Tacoma...thinking about picking up another one down the road. I will check the video out tomorrow. Things have been crazy for me these last few weeks. Cheers bud.
All good tips. That ramp is absolutely awesome!
Yeah...Black Widow product. Makes it really easy due to the width.
Dad's going to love that bike! Can't wait to see you guys ride together! Stay well
For sure. He is definitely enjoying already. Looking forward to the spring and getting down to VA to do some riding with the family.
Nicely done and Dad always has wise ideas for us to follow! Thanks for sharing my friend. Catch you later.👍
Many thanks. Dad's always seem to know best, haha.
Really good hints and tips there
Excellent
Best regards Shaun
Thanks a bunch for the support and feedback.
Hope he has loads of fun on that bike mate .....
For sure. Seems to be enjoying it thus far.
Lovely place you live in, bro! Great video once again. :)
Thanks mate. Yeah...It is a bit of a cookie cutter neighborhood but very pretty and quiet.

Thanks enjoyed. Have a great day.

Mint ramp. Thanks for the sub.
That ramp is sweet. A Black Widow product.
Nice video

Great point with the captured S-hook. You definitely get what you pay for and this isn't an area to cheap on.
Sad to see it leave your garage. Cheers

Very good tips. I'm always wary riding my bike into the back of a pick up but It's too heavy for me to push it up.

I really would like to get a middleweight bike. They are so much fun and a little less demanding.
Nice job buddy. Good teamwork and well explained. 2021 Toyota Hilux video is live now. Let me know what you think 👍

Love the ramp and the low height of the truck. I had the non-pleasure of helping someone lift a bike into a truck with a raised height...never again.
I’m with you on that ramp. So wide that has to make it easier.
Yeah...thankfully my little driveway is a small hill and the lip of the sidewalk lowered it another few inches.
Wide ramps are excellent!
👀
You got some cool looking product!
But, my Harley just won't fit inside the 4Runner!
Hahah...true story.
