I heard the analogy that goes something like: if you have all loose doors and windows, it's like leaving a window halfway open all the time.

The door needed replaced. The bottom of the frame is shot.
That’s an easy fix rookie. It mostly just needs a quick sand, primer and paint. It’s not even rotted. Even a rotted frame is an easy fix…

This side of the door jam is definitely scratched up and needs some new paint, but isn’t rotted. It shouldn’t need to be replaced, if it needed to be I wouldn’t suggest replacing the whole door, just that one side of the door jam which wouldn’t be too hard. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
