I am about 10 hrs your junior and am having my van built in June. Some say I'm crazy but if I don't do it I then give up on all efforts to my goals and dreams at this point in life. I am glad to visit or meet up once I am in my van and know what to do and where to go first lol!! Also widowed. Solo woman older with a young soul!!

Rice: wash 2-3 times and rinse off starch then add water.
He mentioned this in an old video (I think), but he avoids washing rice due to limited water supply in the van.

Not embarrassment, just the feeling that you're sticking out somehow. Like for some reason everyone in the establishment is wondering why you are eating alone even though no one gives a damn.
I actually like going to movies by myself. I make sure to go to a matinee alone every New Year's Eve.

I feel you're a dude just living his life making a dollar by sharing your daily experiences , to which i/we appreciate , the slow and casual tempo to your videos make them easy to watch. The great thing about you filming and editing is that it allows you to choose what we do or dont see, so i think its impossible to know deep down who you are as a person. One thing i know though is you , from what i see in your videos are someone i think most people would love to sit down with by a camp fire , have some beers/drinks and talk/share lifes journey in order to actually get to know you more . So yea, i think most of us through youtube dont *really* know you but would love to get to know the you you. So remember to give yourself a little nod when looking in the mirror every morning and acknowledge that what ever choices you make , right or wrong , are yours and yours alone to make. Krapow is all about the basil. It's normally made with thai holy basil, which is really hard to find. But good even just using normal stuff, looks like you nailed it!!
Your style of videos are not boring at all. I've watched numerous vanlife/travel vlogs from various UA-camrs. Even though I enjoy all of them, I can honestly say that time seems to fly through your videos. Before I know it, around 15 to 20 minutes have passed relatively quickly. A true sign that they're not boring. I think it's because I enjoy the meal prep/cooking aspect, you always seem to find the most beautiful scenery, your van is awesome and you edited your narration. You clip your chat down to the essential points you're trying to convey.

I started watching van life with you. I love how easy it appears for you to communicate with the camera as if you are directing talking with us. Honestly, when I'm watching van life, it is to wind down or take my mind off the business of the day. I look forward to your videos! Yes, I follow the new more extreme van lifers but that is because I like watching van life and sometimes, I have to wait for your next video. I think you do a great job at including us in your day-to-day van life. Please don't feel as if you have to change what you are doing because younger and newer van lifers do their videos different. I've seen other van lifers use thinner terry cloth towels and wash cloths. They're absorbent, easy to hand wash and dry very quickly.
Ryan, nothing you do is ever boring. You are a rare bird with a true gift of gab. While some youtubers struggle to produce variable content, you can create interesting content from a stack of pancakes. Stay safe.

Love Valley of Fire state park! Glad to see your video with some highlights. I was there April ‘23. Big horn sheep, red rocks, formations, hikes, petroglyphs… snagged a first- come campsite. Definitely a special place!

Finally made it. Been watching you off and on here and there for a little while... but a little over a week ago, i decided to start at the beginning and binge everything youve posted. Like 5-6 (at least, usually more) hours a day, just watching your videos from the start. Thanks for the ride. And now im all caught up and can keep looking forward to the next one. As a lifelong American traveler (other than my time in the Army) i have been more places than you could even imagine over here, and theres no shortage. The PNW is where i finally chose to make my home. Look forward to seeing more of these vids, and you maybe making it a little farther north. Santa cruz has the best clam chowder ive ever had in my life. Little restaurant right on the pier. They even claim stake to the title of worlds best clam chowder haha. And the winchester house. And the mystery spot. Head a little further north, and Mendicino and Fort Bragg has the most beautiful coast line, and cool small town feel. Skip east and go through the redwoods. Theyre stunning! Then up to Mount Shasta and theres a really cool cave system in the middle of the lake you can take a boat tour to and go explore. Its amazing. Then keep headin north my dude. Crater lake is something everyone should see. Keep going north and honestly some of the best scenery ive seen in my entire life ( Yosemite is my favorite place in the world, Fort Bragg is second) is Northern Idaho. Anything from Coeur d'Alene up to Canada. And just north of CDA is a naval base where we build small scale submarines and test them out in lake Pend O'reille before we build full scale in the ocean. Its known as the Navy's area 51. Just some ideas for you man. Safe travels, love the content. Im jealous of the lifestyle and live vicariously through people like you. I cant drive anymore, so its super neat to watch your travels. You probably wont read this, but its now 630am. Ive been up all night yet again watching your content. And from the bottom of my heart, Thank you!

Gotta say I made this dish tonight for dinner with me and the wife. A few differences was I used Thai chilis instead of Sarano (4 regular size ones seeds out, I’m a wimp…) and I had pre-minced garlic from a jar instead of fresh. I used a different type of ground beef (only cause “tube meat” wasn’t there, lol). Anyway, turned out amazing and thank you for the great recipe! I can already tell it’s gonna be in the meal rotation because of the ease/simplicity of the recipe with that much flavor. I would recommend drizzling a little toasted sesame seed oil on top of your fried egg after putting in on top of your meat mixture. It slaps. Me and my wife have been enjoying your videos for awhile now and we use it as something we both watch out for and love spending time together watching you cross the country seeing interesting places and making great meals. Keep up the great work brother!

I think you are definitely a foody (no brainer) my vibe on what you don't show: You're not a loner but living like one, I don't think you're an introvert but you want to understand them. I think you 1000% honest about your connections to friends, family and your girlfriend and this is hard for you. You're adventurous but don't like doing things alone and this channel helps you feel more connected and the experiences more meaningful. While I think you're going through a rough time; split between what made you channel work and the connection you crave- you'll find a balance. I admire your tenacity -it shows in your eyes you have conflicts but I think that's why I like you, you're an interesting person.
