  • Representatives of the 27 member states agreed to expand the list of persons and organizations whose assets held in the EU must be frozen. In addition, companies that contribute to Russia's military and technological strengthening or to the development of its defense and security sector are to be sanctioned. The EU would then no longer be allowed to sell goods and technologies with military applications to them. Most recently, the EU also used this instrument to target companies based in China, Uzbekistan, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, which are allegedly involved in circumventing EU sanctions.

3 years ago this guy made the same speech here. He had said Russia had a few months left. He was wrong and he is still wrong. Sanctions don’t work because of the nature of global trade system. There are infinite ways to buy an item if you create such trade routes. Do sanctions damage Russia? Yes, but not to the extent that Russia will collapse because suppliers exist such as India and China.

@@hoolio5659That's not what they say in the beginning. They said the sanctions is to bring Russia to its knees and stop the ability of continuing the war. The sanctions worked against Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea. The number of sanctions on Russia is over 12 thousands, more than 6 times of the sanctions on North Korea, Iran. The sanctions won't work on Russia because it is too big with too much resources and a big market. The sanctions just forced them to keep their money inside Russia and also help China to expand their buyers.

We gonna pretend like any of this matters? ALL their shelves are stocked the same way they were before the sanctions with the same products using different names and proxy companies. Greed knows no limits, greed has no morals. Companies will never stop trying to sell their products no matter what.
