  • Stages of Mitosis, a promotional piece, begins with a fly-through of cells preparing to undergo mitosis (cell division).
Upon entering a cell we are introduced to various organelles of the inner cell and the key events involved in mitosis.
Cell division involves 7 key stages resulting in the splitting of the nucleus, and ultimately, cell division.

Science seriously needs more people working in creating videos ect. like this, it teaches things that are much harder to grasp when learning.

Incredible, really, The thought of mitosis taking place constanly, on top of the shear number of cells in us, is beyond me. Truly spectacular

Actually ChromoSOMES are formed from chromatINS (which you call detached DNA pieces). Chromatins are not dense enough to be seen under a microscope, however, before cell-division, they become dense, form chromatIDS, then chromosomes.
Centrioles, as well as the disappearing of the nuclear envelope happens simultaneously during prophase.
