You caught them! Right on! People have been saying this for a while, but rideshare driver complaints seem to be increasing over the companies’ theft of tips. Please share this video! All passengers need to be aware of how unfairly drivers are being treated by these corporate giants.

@@ridexserve Uber and Lyft lose the lawsuit in NY not too long ago for shortchanging the drivers. Settlement around 350 M USD total wher 90% of it Uber's part. The lawsuit was for that in 2014 until recently. Rideshare Professor put the news in his channel, that's where I watched.

No that’s because the passenger increase the tip. I’ve done that as a rider you get the option and can always go back and make changes
Yeah, this happened to me again.The other day where a customer left their wallet in the car and then they left their phone and ended up giving me a higher tip
I’ve always said the totals never really matched. But I was consumed in just driving and getting more not really wanting to dig into it.

It's because the rider increased the tip amount. So it shows the intent original tip amount then another one with the total tip amount ( the original intent tip plus the increased tip). So basically, the rider added an EXTRA $10 tip
Thank you. I think that is possible. But you know they still are tips so many times it's frustrating... And when you capture it like this , you've got to make a video and upload and let all the other drivers know... I could be wrong in what you're saying is a possibility...
100% proof of stealing??? How does an increased customer tip translate into Uber stealing? Am I missing something? 100% proof is when the customer sends you a screenshot. Without that it's just hearsay.

@@ridexserve I was actually confused by your video cuz I was expecting to see Uber "stealing" or reducing your payout, and everything you are showing is Uber increasing your payout. So my brain couldn't figure out your logic, I kept hanging on till the end and your topic never came to fruition. So how about this. Just edit your title to something like this "Don't be shocked when Uber payout doesn't match the promised fare", or "Auditing Uber's adjustments", or "Serenity Now! Uber's dizzying array of adjustments drive me crazy sometimes!"

It looks like the tip was just increased possibly after the first one. Were you able to cash out $19 additional? If so, it was not removed(stolen) from your account. Uber corporate is definitely a bunch of greedy douchebags, so I would not put it past them to try to steal or modify tips though.

You can adjust the passenger tips after the ride is completed for about an hour. But I do have a receipt of a passenger tipping me $60 and I receive zero dollars from the 60.
There's a max tip limit last time I checked
@@WilliamWeaver-x4v i’ve seen that with some customers, but I also saw the receipt and took a picture so I have proof that he paid it out and it went through and an hour passed.

It turns out if you have a great conversation with the customer instead of the generic tip they can change it and give you a bigger amount

This one here isn't a tip theft I've had this happen before rider used tip option then decided wasn't enough of tip and raised the tip amount the lower tip was removed and higher tip they wanted to give was added

Passenger can edit tip after drop off lolz... He probably had pre selected like 15% or 18% which was the 9 dollar tip; then realized how cool you were and edited it after you dropped him off.

Why not charge them cash or Zelle for the tips? Or why not just use the app and then cancel the ride and u charge them for the ride instead of Uber.
